When I try to install Photoshop I'm constantly getting error 16. Please help ?

The error says that I'll have to uninstall and re-install the software but I cannot find any previous installations in Adobe folder in program files.

i had the same issue once I installed and starting using the Yosemite Beta(s). I installed the App Store Yosemite version, assumed Adobe would have the fix, wrong!!! Error 16 continued. back to adobe forums and finally found the FIX.... see below or check --> Updated Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator on 6/18, now nothing will open: Error 16

Purchased Photoshop Elements 10 just a few minutes ago, and even though the download (direct download of PSE10) seemed to go fine, I ran the installer and got a message reading, "Installer failed to initialize. I have tried downloading and several times. I have used the Akamai downloading method and the direct download. I am able to download the .dmg file but not install the application.
I am on a Mac Pro 2.93 GHz running OS10.6.8, and I have plenty of RAM (8GB) and hard disc space (>350GB).
I have also placed a call to customer support. Waiting for a call back.

The D810 requires Camera Raw 8.6 or later - the latest version that is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 is Camera Raw 8.5 as far as I can see.
You need to either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements or use the free Adobe DNG converter.

There is a problem with IE10+ in that it is mistakenly seen as being IE1. To get around this either use a different browser or use compatibility view (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10)

Thank you for responding. Nothing actually worked! After reading the posts online, I called Apple. They indicated they have seen problems with some software after their upgrades. The technician was able to fix the problem on my computer remotely, but I have no clue what he did! But, it was definitely related to their recent upgrade to my computer.

This has nothing to do with CC or any of that. You have insufficient user privileges to write files locally on your computer or a technical issue gets in teh way. Since you have not provided any system info or otehr details, we cannot tell you more than that.
