When I try to install Reminderfoxon my current macbook pro FF send me a message saying FF cannot install RemFox because FFis unable to modify a needed file, and I want to know how to solve this
There are no more details, guys, that's it! Except I'll add that i'm a longtime FF user, with the current version installed. I have been trying to do this for months, always the same message, and I even filled out this form yesterday, and no one answered. I have a corrupted bookmark file and want to totally delete any information on the bookmarks and settings. I often like watching videos and movies, current affairs, clips on you tube nine msn, yahoo and other sites and my video player or movie freezes for short and long periods and sometimes doesn't start at all. I don't have much experience with add on's or plugins but have been told this may be the problem, I have tried disabling add on's leaving shock wave flash player 11.7.700.224, adobe acrobat PDF plug in, silver light plug in 5.1.20125.0, java deployment toolkit 7.0.210.11 10.21.2.11 and java (TM) platform SE 7 U21 10.21.2.11. as well as leaving all add on's and plug ins run but it still doesn't fix the freezing problem please help or advise what are best options for peak performance of videos, clips and movies. You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps. -
A message came up on my desktop asking me to click on it and it warned me about my toolbars would no longer work. I believe I had just deleted Google Chrome. Now every time I want to go online I have to wait a minute or so before a message comes up and states: A script on this page may be busy or it may have stopped responding. You can continue to see if the script will complete". Then under the above message is this:

There are two boxes underneath that state "Continue" or "Stop script". I click on the "stop script" box and then I can get online. I don't know what this means or how to get rid of it and how do I get Firefox toolbar to work again? Did I do anything to my computer that is causing this error? I never had this problem until I clicked on the first message and I am sorry I didn't write the info down but I didn't know all this was going to happen.That is a problem with an AVG extension (toolbar).

What do you mean you're in the process of "downloading the installer for 10.7.3"? If you mean the software update combo, you won't be able to use that to go from 10.7.4 to 10.7.3. The only way you could do that is to reinstall the whole OS from the App Store IF that version is 10.7.3. I don't know if the App store Lion installer includes 10.7.4 already, but if it does, you can't get to 10.7.3 at all.
As for what you do about your slow machine, there are tips all over the internet. I wrote up some of the basic one's to try here:

Other possibilities not mentioned there are either a corrupt install of Lion (solution; re-install from the Recovery disk) or hardware failure (old hard disks and other hardware components can sometimes give out there last after the strain of a new install).

The app is compressed and needs swap space to install. As a rule of thumb you need 3 times the listed size of the app available, or in your case 4.6GB. You only have 1.7GB.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
