When i try to open a pdf, i am told that i must sing the end users agreement. I cannot find out how.
It tells me when i update the adobe reader that by checking install i am accepting the terms and agreement. However when i try to use the program i am told that i must go to the web site and accept the user agreement . I cannot find out where to do this on the site. Any help?
In your iPhone? I ask because there is a special subforum for the iOS version of Reader.

Every time I try to open a pdf file it says i need to accept the end user agreement
Every time I try to open a pdf file it says I must accept the End User Agreement, so I just try to install it again and it pops up an error.
Does it just say you have to accept the license agreement, or does it say you have to LAUNCH something (Adobe Reader, or Adobe Acrobat)? If it says this, have you done what it says? Or would you like assistance in how to launch stuff in Mac OS or Windows?

How to I accept the "End User Agreement" to be able to view a pdf?
If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement. If you are in Mac, see here: I have installed adobe reader onto my Mac but when I open up an adobe pdf it tells me that i need to accept the end user license agreement, quite, and then open up a new browser but i have never seen the end user license agreement. What should I do in ord

I called Apple support and was told it was because my library was created in 10.3 and won't open in 10.5. It was created before that, but why is it not working now?
Unless you've recently attempted to downgrade iTunes this is probably a sign of a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

Why do I keep getting a pop-up window that says install Java when I try to open a pdf file?
Why do I keep getting a pop-up window that says install Java when I try to open a pdf file?
(You can take screenshots of the windows in your computer using Alt+PrintScreen... No need to use a camera)
This is quite odd. Where did you get the Reader installer from? I would suggest uninstalling it and then downloading the installer from Adobe (here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ ) and re-installing it. -

ThanksYour file association is corrupted; reinstalling or repairing Adobe Reader will likely fix it.
If you want to fix it manually, tell us your operating system & version. -
When I try to open a PDF file the reader flashes on the screen then closes
When I try to open a PDF file the reader flashes on the screen then closes. I have to open the reader, then search for the pdf file through the reader. I'm using Adobe Reader 11.0.5 with windows 7 service pack 1 home premium. Is there any way I can just click on a PDF file and the reader automaticaly opens? I purchased the upgrade so I can convert PDF to Word but it didnt make any difference.
Some things to try...
Update Reader to version 11.0.06
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html -

When I try to open a pdf file I get an error message stating "There was an error opening the document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired." Other pdf files open fine.
You need to get a new copy of the PDF.

When I try to open a pdf file I get the message: "The file is damaged and could not be repaired." I've downloaded the latest reader, but that has made no difference. I use a Mac 10.8.2. Any suggestions or info?
Does this happen with every PDF file or a specific one ? Maybe the file is really damaged.

Does this only open on that specific site?
In any case, you may want to:
- instruct Firefox to handle PDF files in a specific way by going into Tools > Options > Applications and selecting the option you want for the PDF files
- reinstall Adobe Reader and its Firefox plugin
- install another reader instead of Adobe Reader. I recommend Foxit Reader ( http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ ), since it's free, VERY light, VERY fast, safe and also has a Firefox plugin (make sure you don't have both Adobe Reader plugin and Foxit Reader plugin enabled/installed at the same time in Firefox) -
When I try to open a PDF file I get this message:
"The Adobe Acrobat ?Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser. Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required. Please exit and try again.
I have downloaded the Adobe Reader 9.2..... but I still get this message????
Why do I keep getting this message?
Thanks for your help..
CindyUninstall Reader. Use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Tool. They try re-installing Reader 9.2
