When i try to preview a song using my iphone and computer, it just loads quickly and there is no sound.
Ive been trying to preview songs on itunes, using my iphone and computer. Typically when previewing a song, it loads and its a blue color and it will play. Now when i try to preview, it stays black, and loads super fast and theres no sound. And I seem to be getting different prices on albums every time i click on one. Its just being really weird.
any tips or tricks?? ive tried resetting my phone and everything else. nothing is working.and i can play all the music on my phone with no problem. i just cant preview anything in itunes.
The number of devices authorized on an account and the number that an iPhone can sync to are two different things. You can now authorize up to 5 computers or 10 devices to play your content, but still an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch can only be tied to one computer at a time. You can copy content from other computers to the computer used for syncing, and get it on the iPhone that way.
Connect the phone to that computer, whichever you want to be the "master" of the iPhone. Click on its name in iTunes. On the right there is a Summary screen. Scroll down it and you will see several checkboxes. One of them is "Manually manage music and videos". If this is checked you must drag content from iTunes to the iPhone. If you have a large library, however, this can be cumbersome.
The alternative is to leave this box unchecked, and instead click on the "Music" tab when the phone is connected. You can then just check the content you want on the phone, by artist, genre, title, playlist, etc. After checking you click the "Update" or "Sync" button and everything you have checked syncs automatically.

When I try to delete a song off my iphone by swiping right to left it doesnt delete, I even tried plugging the usb into my pc and deleting off itunes and i dont find an option to delete it, how can I?
Here's what I did:
1. I synced my phone to iTunes and under the music tab, I selected sync only checked playlists. I made sure I had none of my playlists selected.
2. After syncing I ejected the phone, and checked my music app. There now was no music at all on my phone.
3. Synced it again to iTunes and synced music how I typically do. When it was finished, I checked for the unwanted song, and it was gone.

When I try to install the latest version of iTunes, during the installation I get error messages saying that a program is trying to change registry and the installation is stopped.
After this happens the only way that I can open iTunes is to do a 'system restore' to an earlier time.
Has anyone else experienced this and can you help?Could you please post the exact text of the error message or provide a screenshot?
There is advice on issues with the update at Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. One of the entries in the further information section refers to a possible registry permissions problem which might be what you are seeing.

and from the Menu Bar select Store...
From the Store menu, choose Authorize This Computer.
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Authorize.

ITunes crashes when I try to play a song
I downloaded the new version of iTunes last night. Now (like a lot of people here), my iTunes doesn't work right. The iTunes store loads OK, and I can still download music. But whenever I try to play a song iTunes crashes, and I get the Microsoft box that pops up and says that an "unexpected error" has occurred, and iTunes must close, then asks if I want to send a report or not. This also happens when I try to preview a song before buying. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime, but that did not correct anything. Any ideas?
I've seen this happen with iTunes Third party add-ons/plug-ins being installed. Do you have any of those?

I want to check on some other issues, also, that have to do with iTunes library files or preference files. This next fun experiment is going to be more of a diagnostic procedure aimed at working out if they may be involved at all.
Go over into your User accounts control panel and create a new user account with full administrative rights. While you're in that control panel, switch off "Fast Switch", or whatever its called, in your logging-in preferences.
Now go log out of the old account and log into you new account.
Open up iTunes. You'll see a blank library screen in the new account. Import over some songs into the library in that new user account. (If possible,use the ones that you know will crash itunes in the other account.)

When I try to send a photo from my iphone it says my email account doesn't allow me to relay.
Can someone tell me what to do when I try to send a photo from my iphone? My email address pops up and the message says it doesn't allow relaying.
Relaying is when you are using an @xxx.com service but the return address in the email is [email protected] ISPs prevent relaying to stop spam.

iTunes will not use the redeemed gift cards on my account, I have a $30 credit and when I try to purchase a song it goes right to my credit card on file. Why does this keep happening???
Any time you've changed anything in your billing, it does this once to very things.

Can't add music my iPhone from iTunes.
When I try to drag a song over to my phone, I get the circle w/ the syncing line through it, but it does not update/load.

Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

When I try to purchase a song, it will not let me use the gift card that I redeemed. It directs me to my billing info and says that my session has timed out. How can I fix this?
For some reason this worked for me. I went into my account and changed my first name, maybe it causes itunes to reset. What ever it does my itunes works now.

I am a first time user. When I try to purchase a song and enter my ID and password and hit buy, the system indicates that the account is new and I should preview my account info. I do that, enter Paypal as my purchase option, get verification, and try to purchase again same message. How do I get out of this loop so that I can buy?

Sounds like you have abn expired credit card linked o yoru accopunt.
View your iTunes account payment info and select None for the CC.
You may need to first add a valid card number before you can remove it. -
I have a gift card that I have not been able to use. I am told I have $12.42 in my account, but don't know how to access it. When I try to download a song, I am referred to my credit card. How do I use my gift card?
Also, there are two downloads in my account that I can not delete. I did not order them and do not know how they got in my account. I think they are SciFi TV programs. How do I get rid of them?

If so, then you can only pay for a gift via a credit card. Or is it just asking you to update/confirm your billing details? If so, that's a normal security precaution. Just make sure your credit card information is correct and it should then deduct the purchase from your credit balance.
