When I try to print a web page, all I get is one line across top of page.
When I try to print a web page in Firefox, the only thing that prints is a single line across the very top of the page. I can sometimes highlight and print my selection, but now that has stopped working.
I did not have the HP printer software for Mac OSX installed properly. Once installed the problem went away.

When I try to print from web page I get a dialogue box "Printer not activated - error code 30" followed by a dialogue box "An unknown error occurred while printing". The printer works on websites when I use Internet Explorer. Also, if I copy the web page and paste it into a Word document, I can print a copy. The Print button in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list opens the Print Preview window.
You can click the Print button in the Print Preview window or use the Print item in the File menu (File > Print) or use the Ctrl+P shortcut to have access to the print selection item and other print setup options.
* Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu bar.
* Use "View > Toolbars > [X] Menu Bar" to have the menu bar visible permanently.

As far as printing a page as you see it, many web pages use '''print.css''' files for print-media. The print.css specifies exactly what is to be sent to the printer and it can control the formatting of the printed page. -
How can I deactivate the FAX modem menu which appears when I try to print a web page?
I have a PC that is not connected to a telephone and I have never selected the FAX icon. Two weeks ago I was suddenly unable to print web pages because a menu concerning setting up a FAX modem appears when I push the Print command. On the Printers and Devices page the FAX icon is not selected. How can I deactivate the FAX menu?

Safari 4.0.3 hangs every time I try to print a web page to a pdf file.
Hi. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and whether or not they have found a fix for it. Every time I try to print a web page to a pdf file from Safari (v4.0.3 running under Snow Leopard 10.6.1), Safari hangs and I have to force quit the program. The pdf is saved successfully, but the browser hangs immediately after the file has been created.
The problem is very consistent - every time I try to print a web page to a pdf file, the browser hangs. Anyone else have the same problem? Thanks.Hi,
Try Safari maintenance.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.

Try a hard reset of your iPod. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Not entirely sure what you mean, but if you are saying that the Safari screen is frozen/inactive then try clearing its cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
Regarding Pages charts, when I try to 'build' a 3D chart all I get is little dots but not graphics. No problems with 2D charts though. Guess my question is "Help?"

Thanks to Fruhulda and Peter for their comments regarding the refusal of Pages to let me make 3D charts.
In answer to the questions put to me in this regard :
1. Pages version : Pages '09 v.4.1 (923)
2. Mac O/S : v.10.6.8
3. 3D chart : Can't find a 'name', but upright bars with rounded corners ???
4. Moved apps : Not that I'm aware of! All should be as installed off the disc.
5. A note : I have been able to create these in the past - related to a SW update?
and ... can create these charts perfectly in Keynote (go figure).

When I try to print photos in Iphoto 11 I get a message saying there are no themes installed and it will not let me print. This never happened in previous Iphoto versions and there is no link to get themes. How can I get these themes?

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List. -
I installed Mountain Lion. When I try to print on my Epson R3000 I get a notification that rastertoescpll quit unexpectedly. How can I fix this?
Sorry but that's the very driver that I think caused my problem and I'm assuming Elstel's. Yes it's an Epson Stylus Photo R3000. From the posts I've read the new driver is faulty. Driver V9 seems to work temporarily with my Mountain Lion 10.8.4. It worked perfectly when I set up my new printer and installed the provided software. When I started the day to day suddenly it wouldn't print and I had the rastertoescpll error. My assumption is that my "automatic updates" setting updated the software over night and then it woudn't work. I then tried your link from a previous post and installed that upgrade. No change. I've only been able to print this afternoon by re-installing the printer with the provided disk. If pixies come during the night and I wake up tomorrow morning with that error message again, after screaming, I will then use my TM to go back to where it worked! Very confused. I was really hoping that Yuengdog1983's solution for the others would have helped me but as I said I've always had my computer named.
