Why am I not recieveing the email, when i try to reset my security question answers?

Has anyone received an answer to this? It seems that a lot of us are having the same issue. In the past i had no trouble receiving emails to reset my password but for the past week I havne't been able to login, my security questions didn't work and I haven't received any of the emails to reset my password. I've created a new Account but would rather  get into my old account because it's linked to my perfered email address. Hum..
Any help from the community would be much apprecated! thanks!

  • When i try to reset my security questions it doesn't give a rescue email to click on

When i try to reset my security questions it doesn't give a rescue email to click to

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • HT5312 Every time I click send e-mail for instructions on resetting my security questions, I don't get them? I just want to play minecraft. I already put $15 in my balance and I can't even spend it. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Either they're being sent to a different email address, or got caught in a spam filter, or something's wrong at Apple's end. If you can't find the email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions, which can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.

If the email hasn't arrived after a few hours and isn't in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset them. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

  • When I try to reset my security questions with email, the email doesn't send.

This has happened every time I have tried to reset them for the past year or so. I don't recall ever setting them so I don't know how they were answered in the first place.

yes - call apple account security and just tell them you need to reset your security questions - it will go like this - they need to get 2 things to match - credit card info, device info (serial number or a device code they send to a registered device, or just get one of the existing security questions right. That's one step - next step is teh temporary support PIN - since you can log into the account you can generate one OK - all this needs to be done over the phone with apple care account security unit. If successful, they will reset your account so you can pick new security questions and also edit the rescue e-mail addy - either delete it or put in one that works.
Best of luck - trust me I have been through this same situation

  • When i try to reset my security questions, the reset email never is sent.

ok so, i forgot my security question answers, so i click on "send reset email" and the email is never sent. so i havent been able to buy things off the app store with my itunes money.

  • HT5312 How do I reset my security questions and set up a rescue email?

When I go to reset my security questions, I don't get the option to send an email to my 'rescue email' or to even set up a rescue email and on the apple support page it says I should have that option.

The page says that you will get the reset option if you have rescue email address on your account, if you don't have one then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

My old Apple ID is still showing when i need to reset my security questions. And i am not able to buy music on iTunes. someone help?!

All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account/Apple ID that was used to download the apps. You will need to use the Apple ID that was used to download the apps to install app updates.
Apps downloaded with one Apple ID can't be transferred to another ID and accounts can't be merged.

  • Why can't I send a code to reset my security questions but I have a rescue email address?

Why can't I send a code to reset my security questions but I have a rescue email address?

If you have a rescue email address on your account then you will see a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
If you only have alternate/secondary email addresses on your account then you won't get the reset link, an you won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer your questions - you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset you can then add one for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620

  • HT5312 The link so you can reset your security question doesn't send to my email why ?

The link so you can reset your security question doesn't send to my email why ? Why can you guys take out those question when nobody is gonna try to hack your account ,everything you need is a strong password .

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you aren't receiving the email to your rescue email account (and you've checked the spam folder on that account and tried clicking the reset link again) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset then if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570
