When trying to send E-mail via AOL i get the message "rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying" I have checked settings as per answers to similar question
From which account does the email not send? When sending from an account, the iPad will first try to use the aoutgoing server for that account. If it can't it will try the other accounts listed.in the setting on the iPad for that account. It soulds like the server for the account is not working and that the alternate server is resjecting the messag since it did not originate ffrom the account associated with that server, That is to prevent sending spam.

Emails rejected by recipients server because it does not allow relaying. what to do?
How to I get my emails to stop being rejected because the recipients server does not allow relaying?
I had this problem with my iPad. You need to set your outgoing mail server to match your data provider rather than your email ISP. For example, my data provider for the iPad is Telstra and their mail server is mail.bigpond.com but my email account is through my home ISP Bordernet so when I had my outgoing SMTP as mail.bordernet.com.au all my outgoing emails would give me the same error until I changed the settings on my iPad so that the outgoing SMTP server i mail.bigpond.com. Good luck, Sue.

When I try to send an email I get a message that the mail has been put into my Outbox because my server doesn't allow relaying. This just started. It worked fine up until 7 or 8 hours ago. Is there something I can do?
contact your email provider and ask them for the correct settings.

I can receive emails over AOL but cannot send them. When I do, I get a box that says "recipient was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying"
That's because you did not enter your screen name and password for the outgoing (SMTP) mail server on the phone. Or if you did they got erased. Go to Settings for the account and enter them.

When I try to delete an email, I get a message whih says "The message connot be sent to the mailbox Trash. How can I delet messages?
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select the account on the right-hand side of that screen, select Account, then Advanced, Deleted Mailbox, and under On The Server tap the 'Trash' folder (or whatever it is called by yor provider) so that it gets a tick against it - then come out of that series of popups by tapping on the relevant buttons at the top of them and then see if you can delete emails

What is better for music editing mac mini or macbook air?
Which mac would you prefer for music editing a mac mini with 2,6gHz quad-core i7 CPU, 16 GB RAM and SSD 256GB or a macbook air 13" with 1,7 dual-core i7, 8GB ram and 256GB SSD? Both will be connected to a 27" screen so portability doesn't matter.
