The reason it zooms in on the picture is to give a sense of depth perception and not have any black space with the photo. If you want to reduce the amount of zoom try turning on Reduce Motion to see if that will work for you.

You might want to update Safari to 3.12. I would empty the safari cache. (Safari>Empty Cache). Then quit Safari. System Preferences>Network>Show:Airport>TCP/IP. Insert the following into the DNS Servers box;
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
then hit apply. Now launch Safari. You should also try powering down modem, router and Mac and power up in 2 minute sequence; modem, router, Mac.

EVery time I add an event, it places two alerts on the event. How can I keep it from doing this?

Hmmmm....But even when I do that, the two playlists go into the general music file and mix together. So I don't understand the point of a playlist if it all just gets thrown into the general mix. Seems like if you create a playlist, it should be separate--otherwise, what's the point? Or maybe I'm missing the point. Sigh...

When I try to watch movies on FF using Netflix I get a private browsing error preventing me from doing so even though I do not have private browsing activated/turned on. Solutions?

When I try to play a movie on Netflix I get an error telling me that Firefox's private browsing mode is restricting Netflix from storing settings on my computer.
The suggests were to click the Tools menu and select private browsing. My private browsing was not activated.
Or to click the Tools menu at the top of the browser and select Options, then Privacy and then Remember history. This setting was also as it should.
Additionally, I went into the history and made sure the permanent private browsing was unchecked and I cleared all cookies. Still Netflix is not working.
I called Netflix and they say that everything is streaming correctly from their end and it is this computer. I can watch Netflix on other computers or my TV on this network but not this computer.
I am at a loss at how to disengage private browsing when the private browsing does not appear to be engaged.

I had this problem as well, just right click on the error, and click Silverlight, go to the Application Storage tab, and check enable application storage located on the bottom left corner. Your movies should play after that. If that doesn't work uninstall then reinstall Silverlight, make FF remember history and make sure application storage is enabled on Silverlight.

Someone played a prank on you and entered a keyboard shortcut to change lol to something else. Your can delete that shortcut in Settings > General > Keyboard > Shortcuts

When I try to set a default for viewing all folders using the view options, it fails to apply this view to all folders. What am I doing wrong?

I open the 'view options', select the mode of viewing I want, click the 'always open in' and push the use as defaults button... this, by all accounts, should work to apply this mode of viewing to ALL my folders and subfolders... yet it does not.

I've had to work on this a little before it "stuck" to my preference; it appears that if you open a folder within a folder and set the option, it will apply to that and any within that, but not up a level. So you need to make sure you have it set at the top folder level and you have it set like this:
Also, if you have a folder in the dock, you will need to either control click it or - in my case I want column view - you need to Command click the folder and it'll open in column view. I've not liked this "feature" since it was changed in Snow Leopard; previously, you could just click on the folder and it would open the way you had it set.

It seems whenever I use YouTube with Firefox, the YouTube video will only ever let me interact with it unless I go full screen then hit escape. if i don't, I can't type in the text box below the video. even stranger, if I go to a new tab and try to enter something into, say, Google, I can still pause and un-pause the you tube video, even in the other tab, just by trying to type in a text box. Firefox keeps focusing on a tab when i drag and move tabs around while in a different tab. Can i some how disable or stop it from doing that?

i loved being able to use this setting/feature(?) before, and it's really annoying now that every time i drag a tab while in a different one it goes immediately to the tab i'm dragging. i use to do it all the time but now it doesn't work. Hoping for some way around it!? thanks in advance.

Latest version of firefox keeps opening new tabs when I don't want it to - how can I stop it from doing that?

"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file ''cookies.sqlite'' that stores the cookies is corrupted.
You can rename (or delete) '''cookies.sqlite''' (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete '''cookies.sqlite-journal''' and '''cookies.txt''', if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

"Error setting up transcoder" Then how do I stop Encore from trying to transcode?

All my assets are DVD compliant MPEG-2s or AC3s made with MainConcept. All assets are set to "Don't Transcode". Yet when I try to build the ISO or DVD Folder, after the initial long pause the status window appears and within seconds I get this error.
This doesn't make sense to me. Why is Encore even trying to transcode anything? How do I stop it from doing so? What's the point in having the option to select "Don't Transcode" when its going to try and do it anyway?
Anyone found a way round this? This is really urgent as I must have this project done for Christmas day as its a present. Thanks

If you can transcode other projects in Encore, then I'd suggest you do a SaveAs on the project, and then in the copied project, begin deleting assets until you can build without error. Then add them back one at a time and build again until you find the culprit(s).

When Firefox 5.0 starts, it automatically adds a new blank tab. How can I stop that?

Import them to your computer as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, then either delete them from your phone or exclude the camera roll from your iCloud backup by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your phone under Backups, then turn Camera Roll to Off under Backup Options.
Also check Settings>General>Usage to see how much availble space is on your phone. If you have to delete apps in order to take photos, you may be out of space on your phone. If so, you need to delete something in order to create more space.
