When I try to sign in, I get a message saying its already running, and I have to restart my computer each time.

I'm not sure how much more info I can give...When I go to sign on after having been on and shutting down, I get a message indicating an application of Firefox is already running and need to shut it down or restart my computer. As Firefox is not running, I have to restart my computer each time to get back on.

Sounds like Firefox is "hanging at exit". That problem is frequently caused by an Extension or a Plugin. Read all of the following articles. 
NOTE: Establish a habit of exiting/closing Firefox with Firefox button > Exit or File > Exit to allow an orderly shutdown of Firefox and closing of all of the files that Firefox has open.

" Now the thing is I was on it earlier and closed it with the close button . Then say checked mail , or looked at pictures on my comp . I can't download the Sandy Relief album that I pre ordered. Apple sent me an email saying it was available but when I try to donwload it I get a message saying I already have, which I have not.

Firefox will be hanging for some reason. The quick solutions to kill the process and try again. The next step is to try to see if it will start and exit normally a couple of times, if so the problem is solved. If not the reason needs further investigation.

This has been happening to me for months IN w &. It is REALLY ANNOYING.
MY WAy AROUND IT IS TO PRESS Ctrl,Alt,Del & select or start the
Windows Taskmaster.
Select Processes Tab & scroll down until you find "firefox.exe" , select it & at the bottom select End Process. In the next window press on End Process & Firefox will be closeD. Get out of that & you will be able to start Firefox.
A bit messy but saves re-starting the computer.

When I close firefox and put my computer to sleep, the next day try to run firefox and it says its already running and I have to close it first; I have to ctrl+alt+delete to end the process and THEN start firefox.

The only other way to avoid this problem is to fully shutdown, or restart my computer.

Try this:
Open your iBooks app on your iPad
Select the Store Button at the top
Select Purchased at the bottom
You will see your AppleID on the right at the bottom, then Redeem, then Support
Click on your Apple ID, and when the AppleID window comes up with the options, Sign Out
Then Sign In again and try redownloading your book

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
