When I try to sign in to a site, Firefox prevents the site from redirecting me to the page I want to sign on to. How do I tell it to let the page redirect me?

this happens frequently, most recently just now when I tried to sign in to Apple for information on an update

See:
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple, we won't know why.
Have you tried getting it enabled ? If not then you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on any iOS devices that you have by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • When i try to finalize my iMovie, it says share requires more memory, quit imovie and relaunch.  Don't want to lose my project, how do I resolve the memory issue.  It's a new computer so there isn't much on it yet.

when i try to finalize my first movie project, i get the message that sharing requires more memory to be available and to close imovie and relaunch it.  This is a new computer and has nearly all it's memory free.  If I close, I will probably lose my project.  What am I not doing?

If you have Restricted your MAIN account in the perental controls that may be the reason. You may have to create a new Administrators account to change the settings on the parent controls.
Not sure as I have never used that feature on any computer I own.

Could it be that you are using your account on more than 10 devices? Or that more than 10 devices are still connected to your account?
"iTunes Match requires iOS 5.0.1 or later on iPhone 3GS or later, iPod touch (3rd generation or later), iPad, or iPad mini, or a Mac or PC with iTunes 10.5.1 or later. Limit 25,000 songs. iTunes purchases do not count against limit. Access to some services is limited to 10 devices."

  • I get this message when I try to sign in -..you have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information.

I am using Firfox and when I sign in I get the ......message when I try to sign in …..you have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information...........

I would not trust that on a banking site. If it were just a forum, no problem, but anything unencrypted during banking is suspicious.

If you didn't create an iCloud account on an iOS device or Mac, you don't have one.  You can't create an account on a PC.  If you were charged for an iCloud storage upgrade without having an account, contact the Apple online store at the bottom of this page for a refund.

When I try to sign in to my account on iTunes, I get the above error message, along with"Please review your account information".

Can anyone tell me why this has happened and how to resolve it?
    Please, please, please help.

Count me in as having the same problem. I have been leaving messages in the iTunes for Mac forum where others in there also are having problems. I have been unable to access my account since 11/7/2007. E-mails with Apple have not worked and now I haven't heard back from them since Saturday. I have tried both on a Mac and Windows machine and keep receiving the same error message that:
This Apple ID has not yet been used with iTunes.
I last purchased music with this account on 10/30/2007. I even tried resetting my password, changing my account info, trying on a computer with iTunes 7.4, etc. I have money in that account and 150 songs and 5-6 tv shows that I cannot access. I also just purchased a new computer and cannot sync my iPod with this computer since these songs will not transfer.
Apple really needs a phone number for technical support. Having to deal with e-mails back and forth (and waiting a day for each e-mail) is not a good business practice. Hopefully they will have a phone number in the future.
Either way, count me in on getting annoyed that a week later, this issue has not been fixed.

  • Just installed I-Cloud. When I try to sign in I get Apple ID is valid but not an I-Cloud account? Going around in circles as usual with no result. Can anyone advise? Much appreciated.

Hi. I just installed I-cloud on my HP Notebook running Windows 7 and the latest I-tunes. I noticed a previous purchase of a song has somehow disappeard and the verbiage makes it sound like I can re-download it. There's no I-cloud icon on that page so I installed the I-cloud package for the PC. When I try to sign in I get a message saying that I'm using a valid Apple ID but it is not an I-cloud account. Instructions keep returning me to the same dead ends where there seems to be no provision for me to establish myself and/or my PC as an I-Cloud account. Any advice? Thanks in advance. Jim

You can't create a new account using a PC. Create the account on an Apple device (Mac, iPhone etc) and then sign in on the PC.

  • When I try to sign in to access Photoshop I get a message that says "error 400, photshop services n

When I try to sign in to Photoshop elements I get a message that says "Error 400, Photshop services not available". What do i do? This has been going on for about a month.

OK. OK. From these posts (adobelaurie & mytaxsite, mainly), I am gathering the following - 1. there is no more backup, and the stupid pop-up while trying to log in will be the norm, 2. by the flash page, Adobe is 'pushing' (like a drug pusher) Elements 12 on me, 3. I should look to other sites for backup, 4. PSE 12 will 'limp' along on my 64-bit system. B.S.
Now all of this sucks. Does Adobe have programmers or 'clowns' who crudely push new products with its 'new style' [read, exhorbitant] pricing on thier faithful users?
flickr? I have used Picasa from the start and love it. Its support is awesome. When will Google come out with a Elements 'killer'. With PIcasa, they're getting there. For basics, it is quicker to load, great, easier, simpler, AND catching up [read, getting better] fast! To adjust photos and email them is a cinch!
OK. While I am 'stuck' with Elements, I will just go straight to the Edit section of my Ele. 9. If it is no longer being synch'd, how can I delete the Organizer section of Ele. 9? In disgust, I want to have the least amout of Adobe crap on my system. Does Adobe have a Customer Satisfaction team? Doesn't seem like that to me. It feels like the Marie Antoinette style "Let them eat cake if they have no bread".
While I have been tempted to go for Ele. 12, after this, forget it.

  • Why does the Apple ID sign in window say connection failed when I try to sign in?

I bought a Macbook Pro from a friend but I need to clear it and set up everything. I am trying to download the new OS software. However when I try to sign in to download the new software "Connection failed" pops up in little red letters. Why is this happening? My apple ID is correct and verified. I have no clue what to do. Help!

The first thing you should do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
    1. You don't own another Mac.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. If you don't have the media, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    2. You do own another Mac.
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
Once booted from the disc, the USB device, or Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it under your ID. In that case, contact iTunes Support.

  • My printer gave me my email adddress, but when i try to sign in it says invalid email address

invalid email address when i try to sign in

Are you trying to use the email address on the print out? That is your ePrint printer code. When you go to http://www.eprintcenter.com you will want to create an account and after you create your account, it will ask for the printer code to customize your ePrint email address.
If you are trying to create an account and it is saying invalid email or email already in use, it means that you have a snapfish account. In that situation, you will want to go to http://www.snapfish.com/ and click the login button in the top right hand corner of the page. When it prompts you to enter your email address and password, click the "Forgot your password?" link and enter your email address. They will send you a email with a temporary password and a link to change the password. After you change the password, go back to http://www.eprintcenter.com/ and log in with your email address and the password you just created.

  • A Web site available via IE says that I don't have 'proper authorization' when I try to sign in.

A Web site that I used to go to via Firefox I must now access using Internet Explorer. I can get to the site's home page, but when I try to sign in it says that I don't have 'proper authorization'. I contacted the site and their rep say that I must make it a trusted site in Firefox, but I can find no option to do that.
Can you tell me how to solve the problem? I would much rather use Firefox.
    Thank you.
