When I try to turn on Home Sharing, I get the message: "Home Sharing could not be turned on because of an error (5506)." What does this mean please?!

I had the same error it was due to a program called Little Snitch, it's somewhat like a firewall. I changed the settings in Little Snitch to allow network connections in iTunes and now I can enable Home Sharing. Maybe you should try changing some firewall settings.

I am trying to download the apps for Netflix, hbo go, pandora radio and xfinity tv. When I click on any of these links I get the message, "your request Could not be completed."

I can't even find the hbo go or Netflix app on ITunes or the App store. When I go directly to the hbo go website or Netflix website and try to download the apps directly I keep getting the message, "your request Could not be completed." after the message pops up I am then bumped to the App store. Import them to your computer as discussed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, then either delete them from your phone or exclude the camera roll from your iCloud backup by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your phone under Backups, then turn Camera Roll to Off under Backup Options.
Also check Settings>General>Usage to see how much availble space is on your phone. If you have to delete apps in order to take photos, you may be out of space on your phone. If so, you need to delete something in order to create more space.

iTunes' library keeps track of where your tracks are located. If you move a track, or keep your music on an external drive and don't turn it on before starting iTunes, or your computer's file system becomes corrupted, or iTunes' library gets corrupted, or..., then iTunes goes to where it thinks the file is located, can't find it, and you get !

What country are you in ? If you aren't in the US and the address on your account isn't in the US then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

This has nothing to do with CC or any of that. You have insufficient user privileges to write files locally on your computer or a technical issue gets in teh way. Since you have not provided any system info or otehr details, we cannot tell you more than that.

Hi, that sounds like it's booting from a Restore partition, but that is only for 10.7 & up, you list 10.6.8 though.
Anyway, hold alt key at bootup, what boot choices are shown?
