Firefox help About tells me I have 10.0.2. When I try to go to Yahoo mail, nothing happens.

I have Windows XP. I updated to Firefox 10.0.2 . Now i can't get ff to go to my Yahoo mail account. I twill open other sites, but when I enter my email account and click, nothing happens. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

If the computer is on, turn it off.
Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the computer's battery.
Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds and then release the button.
Reconnect the battery and AC Adapter.
Press the Power button to restart the computer.

I just purchased a DVI-D to DVI-D cable so that I can connect the laptop to my HDTV. When i connect it, nothing happens! I click "detect displays," and that does not help a bit.
What is wrong? I know I have the right connections, but nothing ever happens.... my screen on the mac turns blue for a second or two though.

I think you'll find you need a DVI-I to HDMI cable (for the video) like this:

In the Displays Control Panel does another box appear for your TV ?
You should see something like this (my Panasonic Plasma), make sure "Overscan" is check in Options and that it's set at NTSC 60Hz Refresh rate.

Untrusted Connection - when I try to add a security exception, NOTHING happens

A game company Web site I go to all the time has just started giving me Untrusted Connection messages. I was able to visit it with no problems as recently as a few hours ago, but now I just get a page that says "You have asked Firefox to connect securely to [site], but we can't confirm that your connection is secure" and goes on to explain about security certificates and so on.
When I click "I understand the risks" then "Add exception", an "Add Security Exception" dialog box comes up as expected. However, when I click "Confirm Security Exception" on that dialog box (with or without clicking "Get Certificate" first), LITERALLY NOTHING happens. I don't mean I get an error message, or some result I'm not expecting, or even that the dialog box disappears. When I say nothing happens, I mean quite literally NOTHING happens. The button is not greyed out, yet clicking it has absolutely no effect. This leaves me with no means of closing the dialog box except clicking "Cancel", and therefore no means of accessing the site.
I've seen similar problems mentioned on this site, but mostly they either have the button greyed out (mine isn't) or they get a conflicting message saying the certificate is fine and doesn't need replacing (I don't). I have not seen anyone else post about my version, where everything looks normal and internally consistent yet the "Confirm Security Exception" button is non-functional.
This is not the first time I've had this problem, but it's the most annoying in that this time, it's affecting a site I normally visit several times a day rather than one I don't care that much about. As far as I recall, in my hands the "Confirm Security Exception" button has NEVER functioned, with the problem even surviving a near-total replacement of the hardware including the hard drive Firefox lives on.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode (Never Remember History).

Check out why the site is untrusted (click "Technical Details to expand that section) and if this is caused by a missing intermediate certificate then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
Note that some firewalls monitor secure (https) connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

I just got a new computer with Windows 7. I transferred my Incredimail 2 account over installed Firefox 14.0.1. When I try to click on links in my email, nothing happens. Could there be a compatibility issue with with the newest version of Firefox and Windows 7, or is it an issue with Incredimail?

The first thing I generally recommend is the "double-switch." Open Internet Options (either from IE's Tools menu or from the Control Panel) to the Applications tab and make IE the default browser. You can confirm that it worked by clicking a link in Incredimail or by checking the Associations list in the control panel.

When I try to change my desktop background nothing happens

When I find a new image on the internet, for example with google images, and I attempt to change it to be the desktop background nothing happens. I attempted to save the file to the desktop or downloads and then set it to be the desktop background but again nothing happens. This has happened to me a couple of times and I am not sure what is causing it. When I restart the laptop the new background is set but this is really getting annoying.

No problem using PC terms with me. Most of my computer are Windows PCs. I'm fully versed on both platforms.
Well you are setting it to the desktop background. "Sorry" all you need to do is reboot to make it active.
Never done that and have no desire to try it. But I would think that if you Right Clicked (two finger click or control left click) on the image, selected Save As and saved it in the folder I pointed to in my other post or to any folder on your hard drive and then went to Sys Pref, Desktop & Screen Saver and selected that image, whether in the default desktop pictures folder or in another folder on your drive, it would change right then and there without a reboot.
Doing it from Safari makes you reboot to have it displayed.
