My Mac App Store is showing someone else's update. the update is for an app called CodeBox. I've never heard of it, not even purchasing it. when I tried to cleaning my computer's cache, it's still there. What should I do?? It's very irritating for my family...

I can't see how it has achieved such notariety in your household ... it is simply an inexpensive developers tool.   That said, you or someone else has downloaded it at some time; it won't just appear.
But you can check that.   As it is a paid app, it will appear in your purchases list (hidden or unhidden) and if by some odd situation it doesn't, write to the billing department and ask for a copy of the account it featured on.
In terms of getting rid of it, the chances are it could have been partially deleted by the person who downloaded it.   But you have a clone or similar in your system and that is why MAS is picking it up and showing the update availability.
You're going to have to search a little harder, I'm afraid.

You cannot change your Apple ID. You can get a new one if you want, but all of your Apps and media are linked to yoru old Apple ID. And no, Apple won't transfer your old ID purchases to yoru new ID.

Try contacting iTunes via email to check if there is an issue with the account. go to apple.com/support/itunes
Click on iTunes Store account and billing and select inquiries. On the right side click on "email us".
Before doing that trying viewing your account information first. Open the iTunes on you mac, look at the menu and select store and select view my account. Try removing the card (this is only applicable if you don't have a pending charges with iTunes) and hit done. Sign out, quit iTunes and sign back in and try updating the apps again.

There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, and all future updates will require you to enter the password associated with this ID, whether you are currently using this ID for purchases or not. If you are being prompted for your sister-in-law's Apple ID when updating it means that there must be one or more apps on your phone that was purchased using her Apple ID. (When she synced with your computer it may have transferred this app to your library. It was subsequently synced to your phone.) The only way to stop the prompt for her ID is to delete these apps from your phone and your iTunes library and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

I recently reset my apple id. However when I try to update apps in my iphone it asks for my old apple id info. When I enter this in it states that the info is incorrect and needs to be reset. However when I download new apps the app store asks for my recently updated apple id info. If you have Location Services turned on turn this off, then follow steps below:
Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Your_Apple_ID>View Apple ID
When you tap your Apple ID and select View Apple ID you'll need to enter your password, once done you can change the Apple Store.

This actually has a very simple fix, that has worked all the times I have seen it. Simple goto Settings > Safari > Then reset the cookies, Reset the Cache, and Reset the History. Now turn the iPad off and then on again. It should work fine now.

The only way to get those apps registered to new apple id - to delete them and redownload again. If they are paid you have to pay again.
