I am having a problem updating my iTunes. I get a message that says "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Can anyone tell me how to uninstall iTunes?
I get this message either when I download a new iTunes or try to uninstall it. I am using Windows 7 64.

Which particular .msi file (or files) does the message (or messages) go on to say cannot be found? (Several different .msi files might be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

(Assuming that the QuickTime and Safari messages were also citing bonjour64.msi, you should also then be good to go with those installs too.)

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Hi, I am trying to get help with an update install of iTunes. When I opened iTunes the other day, it told me there was an update to version 10.6.1. When I tried to install this version I received the following message " The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. I tried to uninstall iTunes, and it would not uninstall. It gave me the following message " The path C:\documents and settings\network service\local settings\application data\apple\apple software update\iTunes.msi cannot be found. I tried running Windows fixit, but this did not solve the problem. Can anyone tell me how to finish uninstalling the old iTunes file, so I can reinstall the newest version?
