When i try to update some apps  theres another email that appears how can i get that changed

my email does not appear on any of my updates

That usually happens when apps have been purchased/downloaded with another Apple ID. The apps are locked to the Apple ID used to download/purchase them. You would need to delete those apps and download again using your Apple ID.

When I try to update my apps, and old email address appears, how I get rid of it?  I am not tech savvy at all!

This is happening because they were purchased with your older Apple ID.  Apps and there updates are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID on your phone in Settings>Store.  The only way to stop the prompt for your older ID would be to delete these apps from your phone.

  • HT4528 my apple id is not right when i try to update some app.

ok for some reason my email add. is the wrong add. when my apple id comes up how do i get my email add. there ?

You might want to check one of these apps just to be sure.  If you open iTunes on your computer and click on Apps on the top left under Library, then to the right, right-click on one of these apps that is showing the address you think is wrong when you update it, select Get Info, go to Summary tab and look for Account Name.  This Account Name is the Apple ID used to purchase the app and this is the ID that should appear when you update it.
If the shown in Get Info is not the ID that is showing when you update, you should contact iTunes support for help with this: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

  • Why when i try to update an app whith my new e-mail, it asks for the password of the old e-mail?

I recently changed my e-mail because I moved to U.S.A. so I could have the U.S.A. store. When I try to update some apps with my new e-mail, it asks me the password of the old e-mail, ahd that e-mail doesn't work because its not from U.S.A.

Apps are tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase them and you will always need to use that ID and password in order to update them.
Saying that you do get to update them on your new details makes no sense at all.

When i try to update my apps from the app store some of the apps wont update and ask for an Apple ID that isn't mine. Whats the problem and how do i fix it? All im trying to do is update my apps and its asking for these random apple ID's.

The apps were purchased by another user with a different Apple ID. You will have to erase them and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

  • When I try to update an app in the App Store i get a message "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (13)"  I have tried many many times and keep getting the same message.  How do I resolve?

When I try to update an app in the App Store i get a message "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (13)"  I have tried many many times and keep getting the same message.  How do I resolve?

First take the steps recommended in this support article. If there's no change, continue as follows.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Cookies/com.apple.appstore.cookies
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash. Relaunch the application and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • In AppStore.app for some reason when I try to update my apps, it asks for the wrong user account than the one that I am logged in with. This makes me unable to update my apps

In AppStore.app for some reason when I try to update my apps, it asks for the wrong user account than the one that I am logged in with. This makes me unable to update my apps

You would have downloaded those apps with the wrong Apple ID then created a new Apple ID which is the on you are on now. This is acting as normal because all content downloaded from the iTunes and App Store is attached to the Apple ID it was downloaded with. To stop this you would delete the apps and redownload them with your current Apple ID you are signed in with.

You probably need to confirm  the security code of your CC.  Log into your account an input this, even if it's already there.

  • How come someone elses Apple ID Shows up when I try to update my apps

How come someone elses Apple ID Shows up when I try to update my apps? It's Grey and won't let me change it. I've signed out and resigned in, but this very odd email address always shows up as my apple ID. Please help if you can, I just need to update some apps.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove may not be the one named in the update notice. For example, the App Store could prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app could be "Final Cut Pro." Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
              File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
              Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
              Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
              Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    3. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
    4. At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
    5. Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • I'm signed in to my account on my macbook air's apple store, but when I try to update any apps, it has a locked in apple store user which is not mine, any help removing this?

I'm signed in to my account on my macbook air's apple store, but when I try to update any apps, it has a locked in apple store user which is not mine. I have no idea where this user came from, but I need to update my apps and get this user off my computer. The users email is locked, it is grey in colour and I can not get it off. I've tried my system settings and the app store, logging in does not change the fact that there is a strange email there. I need help, please! I don't know if this is a hack or what, I brought my computer into the shop to get some work done so it may be their account, I just need the account removed.

  • Old apple id keeps popping up when i try to update/download apps

I don't use the old apple id anymore because i don't remember the password so I made a new account, but when I try to update/download apps, it asks me for my old account information even though the ipad is connected to my new account. How do I get rid of this and make it so that it stops asking for the old account information and just use my new one?

I bought a used iphone can someone tell me how to change the apple id on phone please. Thank You!
Here is a thread about someone who'd bought a used iPhone tied to a former owners Apple ID.
Perhaps something there may be of help. There is a safeguard idea behind an owner and their
Apple ID, and most sellers would ready their product for re-sale, and remove their Apple ID as
well as any other account or purchased apps, that are not transferable to some other person.
    Good luck in this matter!

  • When I try to update my apps the Email that pops out in the box is not mine. How can I change it, delete it please help?

When I try to update the apps the email address is not correct n it's not my apple I.D I don't know how it got there in the first place. I want to delete it and have mine on there hoe can I solve this problem?

It's because the app was purchased under a different Apple ID and is being updated using a different ID. Try using the same Apple ID which was used to download the app and retry. If not, delete the app completely and re-download using YOUR Apple ID.
