When I try to update the apps on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 they are stuck in waiting.

When I try update my apps on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 they are all stuck in waiting.
I have tried:
restarting my device
signing out of the store and restarting the device and signing back in
reset all settings
double taping on "waiting" apps
All my softwear is up to date. I know that apps only download one at a time but I have checked them all and they are all in waiting. I am connected to wifi.
HELP!

This is strange, but it may be a fix for my problem. These are the steps I took to possibly fix my problem. Before trying this I noticed that not only are all apps that are being updated listed as "Waiting", but new apps being installed were also listed as "Waiting".
I unselected "Sync Apps" in iTunes on my Mac. A sync automatically started and all the apps, other than the standard apps were removed.
I selected "Sync Apps" and chose just one app to install. I chose iBooks because it's an Apple app and because there is significant content associated with it through my purchases. The iBooks app installed without issue.
I selected a larger group of apps to install (basically all those that began with the letter "A"). These apps installed fine and are useable.
I selected all the apps I wanted on my iPad. These apps (113 total) all installed without being listed as "Waiting".
I used the App Store on my iPad and chose one app to update. The app was immediately listed as "Waiting" and when tapped was listed as "Paused".
I removed the app from the iPad and reinstalled it via iTunes on my Mac. The app installed fine and works great.
I accessed the iTunes Store and went to the screen "My App Updates". I selected the same app I tried to update in Step 5. The update work fine.
I synced my iPad and the newly updated app was installed on my iPad without issue.
This tells me that the issue lies within the process that updates apps on the iPad. If the app is updated in iTunes proper on my Mac, the updated app is installed on the iPad without issue.
I've only tried this with one app. I will now update all the apps on my Mac via iTunes and see if the newer versions install correctly on the iPad after syncing.
I hope this helps other people having this problem.

I bought a used macbook pro from a friend. Software updates are available, but when I try to update, the computer asks for apple id and will only accept the former owner´s. How can I connect my macbook to my apple id?

The first thing you should do after acquiring a used computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.

  • When I try to update my apps it says incorrect password and I enter it so much. Then I downloaded something and I used the same password it worked. What do I do to fix this problme in the app store.

Please help me fix my iPod.It would mean a lot to me.

When yu try to update an app, look at the Apple/iTunes ID email address above th location where you enter the password.  It sounds like the you have apps on your iPod that were purchased with more than one iTunes account. Yu hav to besigned inot the account that pruchased them to update them.  If more than one app needs updating and they eere purchased from different accounts yu can't use the Update All.  You have to update them individually until the remain apps were purchased from one account.

Yes your MBA is up to date as far as Lion is concerned... But Keynote requires you Upgrade to Mavericks

    1. First step to solving the Problem: Trash MacKeeper. It's a pile of trash that does far more harm to your computer than good.
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3691
    2. What version of iPhoto do you have? (iPhoto Menu -> About iPhoto)

  • It says I have 3 app updates. However, when I try to update, the apps won't.

The App store says I have 7 apps that need to be updated. However, when I got to the update icon, none of the apps that need to be updated appear. How do I update the apps when they are not listed?
    Thanks!

Until Apple resolves this problem, when you are in the App Store, if you have updates, try going to your "Purchased" Apps and you can update from there. Apps with updates will show "Update" next to them, just tap on "Update" and the update will be installed.

  • When i try to update my app's my iPad stats that mine iTunes is logget off. Why? What can i do?

    Hey there Aslid,
It sounds like you are being prompted to sign into your Apple ID on your iPad. You can do that in the settings.
To set options for App Store, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store. You can:
View or edit your account. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. To change your password, tap the Apple ID field.

  • Imovie keeps crashing when I try to load the app after adding .mov from a iPhone 5

I loaded the new version of imovie and imported a few movie files once I started to edit the file imovie crashed. And kept crashing on restart.

    Hi Ruhel_1,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  I would recommend trying some of the steps in this article:
OS X Mavericks: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13975
Disconnect any peripheral devices you just connected (for example, a printer). They may not be compatible with your version of OS X.
Uninstall any app plug-ins or enhancements from other manufacturers. If you recently updated the app or OS X, a plug-in or enhancement you installed may no longer be compatible.
Use Apple Diagnostics or Apple Hardware Test. These tools can tell you if hardware you installed, such as additional memory, is incompatible, improperly installed, or defective.Use Apple Diagnostics or Apple Hardware Test
Restart your Mac in safe mode.Start up in safe mode
Use Disk Utility to repair your computer’s internal disk.

  • I have an iPod  that when I try to update the Apps that are shown to need update-ding and when I indicated to have them updated I get a message "can not connect to App store". The ipod has been updateing until recently. I came still down load new App  and

I submitted my question but ran out of room in the box. I can still down load new Apps to my iPod touch AND update them but CAN NOT update the older Apps. that was on the iPod before the problem.
I have been to Three Apple Service Center stores - In Tulsa OK, Oklahoma City OK, Tacoma WA and NO ONE could tell me what is the problem OR what to do to correct it.  The Tech then tells me to get hold of the main Apple Service Center number. I tell them I already have and they still recommend going to them.
I have erased all information and started over as a new iPod Touch but the problem persists.
I have called the Apple Service number and they tell me to do everything that the the Tech's at the Apple Service center stores tried to do but DID NOT work.
After I spend a lot of time on the phone, I get told to make an appointment at a Apple Service center store so they can physically have hands on assistance. Come on folks I have already done that and they were of no help. When I say that, I get told that may be the only way I can get the problem resolved.
Surely there is someone out there that knows something about what is happening OR not happening with my iPod and provide a solution.
    Thank You for your concideration

  • When I try to update my apps the Email that pops out in the box is not mine. How can I change it, delete it please help?

When I try to update the apps the email address is not correct n it's not my apple I.D I don't know how it got there in the first place. I want to delete it and have mine on there hoe can I solve this problem?

It's because the app was purchased under a different Apple ID and is being updated using a different ID. Try using the same Apple ID which was used to download the app and retry. If not, delete the app completely and re-download using YOUR Apple ID.

  • How to change the Apple ID in the prompt on my iPhone when I try to Update an App?  My Apple ID on my iMac is the current one, the Apple ID on my iPhone is my former one.

How do I change the Apple ID in the prompt on my iPhone when I want to update an app?
My Apple ID on my iMac's iTunes Store is my current one.
My Apple ID on my iPhone is my former one.
How do I change the one on my iPhone.
    Thanks,

    Thank you.
I have not pinpointed the exact dates but I know I changed my Apple ID and downloaded the apps around the same time a few months ago.
My old ID is being used by a family member.  I entered the password for that ID and the updates worked.
Next I will have to see what happens when I try to update the apps, she has some of the same, on her iPhone.
    Again, thank you,

  • How come someone elses Apple ID Shows up when I try to update my apps

How come someone elses Apple ID Shows up when I try to update my apps? It's Grey and won't let me change it. I've signed out and resigned in, but this very odd email address always shows up as my apple ID. Please help if you can, I just need to update some apps.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove may not be the one named in the update notice. For example, the App Store could prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app could be "Final Cut Pro." Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
              File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
              Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
              Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
              Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    3. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
    4. At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
    5. Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.
