When setting up a Firefox Sync account I was never asked a secret phrase. When I try to use Firefox Home it asks for the secret phrase. What do I do? (using Firefox 3.6.10, iphone 4 and macbook OS X
On the MacBook, open up the Preferences dialog and go to the Sync panel. Click the Manage Account button so it shows more options, then click on the My Sync Key link to show you the Sync Key.
The sync key is the same as the secret phrase, it was renamed in recent versions of Firefox Sync. -

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author. -
I have used Firefox for years. Now it sits in my dock with a circle and slash across it. I'm not even sure how it got that way. I have tried to delete that icon and redownload Firefox and it ends up looking the same way. I am on a Mac with OSX 10.5.8 - 2 GHz Power PC G5 processor and 1GB DDR SDRAM memory. How can I download a usable version of Firefox again? Thanks for your help.
Peter A Grant, MDFirefox 4 isn't compatible with your PPC Mac. <br />
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0/system-requirements/
For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

Or use Firefox 3.6.17 - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html -
When i try to use firefox i keep getting "Firefox not responding" why
Every time I click on something I get "Firefox not responding" I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it is not going away and it is really getting me aggravated.
I had the same problem, on scouring many forums i read a post about "McAfee Script Scan" and how it could cause conflicts.
I went to "Tools",- "Add-ons" which took me to the Add-ons Manager
Then "Extensions" in the left pane,
I scrolled down until i found "McAfee Script Scan" and removed it,
I then re-started Firefox and couldn't belive the difference, it was like going back to when i had BT infinity installed, like a new pc.
I hope this is of use to other users. -
March, 9th, 2015 -- My Samsung Note 3 is on AT&T wireless, but I Have Xfinity wi-fi at home. Firefox browser worked yesterday & last night. Today when I search it comes up with a blank white screen after the orange bar runs across the top & never loads anything (words or pictures). When I open the tabs in the side bar, it shows the pictures for them, but still only loads a white page after clicking actual link. It will not sync the last few saved bookmarks with my computer. I made sure that I have the latest android version installed, but It still does this even after uninstalling & re-installing & restarting the phone. AT&T had an update a couple of days ago & I've already talked with their tech support with no resolution. I don't know if there is conflict with AT&T's update & current Android Firefox browser. Please Fix, thank you.
Yes, it does the same thing whether on wi-fi or 4G.

I am using Windows 7 and AVG
But I can't... find... it... It's not there.
Unless you're talking about the entire Mozilla Firefox folder (which isn't what the thing you copied says,) there is no installation folder. -
I've tried deleting Firefox and reinstalling it and I still can't open up Firefox. How can I fix this?
Have you tried using another computer? Have you used this computer to log in before? Have you made any recent changes (programs or settings) to your computer, firefox or your account?
Can you not open firefox at all, or just your account? -
I cannot access firefox 0n my other computer. I just get this error message: error:App:Name not specified in application.ini
This is most likely caused by Zone Alarm software. Please check http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/880170

I tried to uninstall the toolbar through Control Panel and changing browser settings and it worked temporarily a couple of times, but the toolbar keeps coming back. Now a window has opened up and can't be closed. it says:" browser settings change, an unknown change was detected on your browser search settings: keep current settings" or "I'm aware if this change and approve it". I have 2 accesses to firefox: one on the bottom toolbar and one on the screen. This window stops me from accessing firefox from the toolbar. It looks like very soon I won't have access to firefox anymore. I found a site that claims to remove it but provides ni identity: http://removal-tool.blogspot.com/2012/01/remove-funmoods-browser-extension.html is it safe to try it?
Hi Jessbee. In Firefox, go into Tools>AddOns>Extensions, and disable then uninstall the toolbar from Firefox. Reboot Firefox. You also have to go into Control Panel/Programs and uninstall the software from there. Then run Malwarebytes Antimalware to get rid of the leftovers.

? When I try to use Adobe reader or open a PDF file
I get the Error "Invalid plugin detected Adobe will quit" How do I fix this?
In that case, you might try this forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/acrobat_windows This one covers a different Adobe product.
What it sounds like is that one of the helper programs that reader uses, called plug-ins, isn't working. If you've recently added a plug-in, you might try removing it. Otherwise, I would be inclined to uninstall reader and reinstall the latest version.
