• I'll appreciate your suggestions as Firefox is not opening. A window warns: "XULRUNNER. Error: App: Name not specified in application.ini"

When trying to open Firefox a small warning window labeled XULRUNNER is appearing, with the text: "Error. App: Name not specified in application.ini", and an "accept" button. When you click in "accept" the warn ing window closes, but then nothing more happens.
I have no idea what is going on. Any ideas?

Hi Guys I have SOLUTION for that. I perhaps could not attach my file here but let me still tell you the solution.
You need "Application.ini" file from any other pc having Mozilla over it. There is no complex information in this file although. I will past code of that file here so you could copy that to your file as it is.
After doing this if you get any different error prompting for version error then open this "Application.ini" file again where you just copied code. and change the version (you will find version text on second line at end) to appropriate one according to the Error Alert you just encountered before.
That's it.
Application.ini File Code is below
(whole code must come in three lines, I can see line break special characters in special rectangular format)

• When I try to use spellcheck, I get the "Cannot find the User dictionary". It has always worked in the past and when I go to choose the main dictionary, it just goes back to the same line, cannot find user dictionary.

When I try to use spellcheck, I get the "Cannot find the User dictionary". It has always worked in the past and when I go to choose the main dictionary, it just goes back to the same line, cannot find user dictionary.

Have you ever created a user dictionary? You have to manually create one, AppleWorks won't do for you. The user dictionary & any other dictionaries belong in the AppleWorks Essentials folder which belongs in the AppleWorks 6 folder in Applications.
Deleting & reinstalling AppleWorks from the original disk will not delete your files unless you have saved them in the application folder. The Mac OS creates a separate Documents folder for your files & that is where the documents you created should be.
Unless all of your documents are AppleWorks 6 word processing documents, Pages alone is not sufficient. The iWork applications - Keynote, Pages & Numbers - can only open AppleWorks 6 presentation, word processing & spreadsheet documents, respectively. They will not open any other type of AppleWorks 6 files or any AppleWorks 5 or any version of ClarisWorks files.

I have recently restored everything on my iMac after getting a new hard drive. When i try to use Elements, i get the following error code ERROR 150:30. Any ideas?

Did you use migration assistant to copy over programs, documents, and settings? You can't do that with PSE. Elements is not a tidy package in accordance with the apple developer guidelines. The installer strews stuff all of your hard drive in place the migration assistant isn't programmed to look and you can never hope to find all h the bits. You must always install PSE from scratch on a new machine. By attempting to copy it you have made a lot of trouble for yourself.
You will need to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
and then you can go around and manually remove what you can reach. Look in applications, your hard drive>library>application support>adobe, your username>library>preferences. In the user library also delete any saved application states for PSE.
Then you can reinstall from scratch.

• When I try to open iweb I get the following message: Can't open file "~/Sites/NAVIGATOR/index.html." How do I fix this? Using 10.6.3 soon to be 10.6.6 and then Lion.

When I try to open iweb I get the following message: Can’t open file “~/Sites/NAVIGATOR/index.html.” How do I fix this? Using 10.6.3 soon to be 10.6.6 and then Lion. I have never opened the product before and have had it on the computer since new.

Go into your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and see if there's a file titled Domain.sites. If there is double click on it and see if iWeb opens.
If there is no Domain file there do the following:
delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.

Just had this same problem. Based on other suggestions I found on the web, went to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox and deleted all files that ended with upgrade and/or delete. Then I was able to uninstall Firefox and then reinstalled. Hope this helps!

• HT1926 When I try to open ITUNES I get the following messages: Runtime Error R6034 - "An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly" . I have 15,000 songs in my library. Will I lose them if I uninstall as suggested by Apple?

Exactly the same problem. But it gets worse. iTunes has now disappeared from my list of installed programs so I can't uninstall anyway. Appalling problem. This update clearly didn't get proper testing before release.
In answer to your question about your song library, I seem to remember uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes a few years ago and the uninstall didn't remove the library then - I can't see why it would. Of course there have been a lot of updates since then, so it is definitely worth asking the question. Personally, I would be inclined to make a copy (if you have the space) of the iTunes folder just to be sure.
I certainly hope they get this fixed soon. I use iTunes mainly for podcasts on my iPod and I can't download anything right now.

When going through the download process with social monkee and getting to the point of adding it to firefox I get the following message: 'Social Monkee could not be installed because firefox cannot modify the needed file'. How can this be fixed?

That is usually caused by a missing unpack directive (<em:unpack>true</em:unpack>) in the file install.rdf of that extension.

Justin,
In addition to what mo said, some have found that the page with the direct download link,
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
may turn up blank to start with, so it may be necessary to reload the page.

• TS3297 When I try to open iTunes i get that this message "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes." I have downloaded the lastest version and it has not changed the message. What should I do next?

When I try to open iTunes I get this message " This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not correctly installed. Please reinstall iTunes." I have installed the latest version of iTunes and the message has not changed. What should i do next?

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

• When I try to open itunes I get the following message MSCVR80.dll is missing. It twells me to reinstall the software. When I try to reinstall the install hangs up and tells me there is an error and I need to reinstall.

My Itunes will not open due to a missing file, MSCVR80.dll. It tells me to reinstall the software. I downloaded the installer for my windows 7 system. When I try to install it tells me there is an error in the install and to reinstall.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I had the problem of firefox just not starting at all before, so I deleted my profile. Now I just get the message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." But I checked my activity monitor and there are no processes operating under firefox, what do I do?
