When I turn my iTouch sideways nothing happens....

I have noticed about 2 or 3 days ago that when I turn my iTouch sideways when listening music or navigating in Safari nothing happens. It just doesn´t go into the horizontal mode anymnore. I have tried to restore the system and reinstall the 2.0.2 software but still the same... Otherwise the machine works perfectly. What can I do ?

I've also been having the same problem. Sometimes it doesn't turn at all and sometimes I literally have to turn it sideways and keep it sideways for 3 minutes before it turns (when it's supposed to turn in a second or two). Is there are specific reason for this? I tried looking everywhere for the answer but couldn't find one. If apple support can find a solution to this problem, please do!

Can I disable the album cover view when I turn the iTouch sideways?

So when you I am listening to music, and I turn the touch on its side, it switches from the player to the album view that you can scroll back from side to side.
I don't know about you guys, but I HATE this. I never EVER use this and I think it super annoying that it comes up all the time. And when when i turn the touch back upright.. there is a delay and it take time to return to the player. I wish there was a way to disable it.. or even better, when you turned the iTouch sideways, it showed a wide music player.

Double tap the Home Button to bring up multi-tasking. Swipe the bar to the right to bring up music controls. The left button is the Orientation Lock. When it's enabled, you see an icon at the top of the notification tray to let you know it's locked. This locks certain applications in the native view (YouTube videos still play horizontally, Music stays in portrait, and photos stay in portrait).

And...Yes, i did : i inserted the install disc and started up holding the C key. Many time. But each time, the logo of install disc appeared during ten minutes and then, during the installation, he disappeared suddenly with no reason. And in the same time the computer turn off.
The beginning of the storry : my son made long time ago (a year) the partition between Mac and Windows. Everything was fine.
Recently, He decided to give more memory space to windows.
He could do that directly (perhaps, was there a way but he did'nt know it)
For this reason, he decided to desinstall Windows in a first step before reinstalling it.
But before doing this, he decided to re install all the system, like for cleaning his computer...and then, since, it's a big mess.
You know everythin now.
Could you help us ?

Hold the power button down for 15 seconds, wait for 2 then press it normally and see te MBP it turns on

Could you see whether Firefox will start in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
Here's how:
With Firefox closed, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

I recently updated my operating system to the Yosemite. Everything worked fine until i updated it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Program folder? In general backing up and restoring application folders is not going to work. Windows programs should be installed using the appropriate installation programs.
