Make sure you have the Current Version of iTunes Installed on your computer

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
After you have Recovered your Device...

But that requires the computer to see the ipod. I am having the same problem and I keep being told to restore it, but you have to either get the ipod to turn on or have the computer see it in order to so that. Right now I have a pretty useless 32GB ipod touch cos I cant get the thing to turn on! I can only get the apple logo for like maybe 20 seconds and it goes away. Ive charged it for days on a wall charger, on the computer usb charger, and on a speaker charger. Nothing works.

I have many hours of video on my computer and I haven't had this problem before. In the past, imovie opened up and then is asks me if I would like thumbnails generated. Any suggestions?

Don't - either iMovie get's confused or it can't find them at all (it has NO search for them - function -at all)
If You did move or alter anything - try to get all back as before and it might work again.

I am trying to sync my IPhone up to my computer. It shows it is working, but the movies and t.v. series I purchased from my phone are not showing up in my library on my computer. I have updated both my phone and computer. I am using windows. Any suggestions on how I can get this to work?

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

My IPad2 will not start after pushing the home button and the sleep button. The Apple logo is on for a short time then the screen goes black.
i just wanted to know what will happen to all of my pictures and videos if i restore my ipad, i dont want to lose that stuff, also i tried to update my ipad, it tells me to plug it in to the computer and when i do, it shows on itunes its extracting the data or something like that, but it does not began the update process, after awhile it just brings up ipad device not found, and then my ipad dies so i charge and let it charge all day till night time and all that pops up is the plug in to the itunes image on my screen, so i need to know what to do, please help me.

I tried replacing the screen with no luck. The same thing happened with the new screen. I replaced the backlight coil and the backlight ic and still have the issue. I don't know what else could be the problem. If the battery is completely dead and I plug it in the "charging battery" symbol shows just fine during the entire time it is charging, but as soon as it starts to boot up the apple logo shows for a split second then the screen goes black. The rest of the phone still boots up just fine. I can use SIRI, press the lock button like I'm about to use my phone and slide my thumb across where the "slide to unlock" would normally be and it will make the unlock noise just no picture display. I am pretty tech savvy when it comes to repairs and all of the connections look fine, replaced backlight coil and ic, replaced LCD/digitizer, tried a restore, tried a DFU restore, multiple hard resets, but I am at a loss as to where to go from here. I had dropped the phone and put a minor crack in the screen but the phone worked just fine for a couple months after before this started to happen. The phone is still under apple warranty but apple won't cover it because Apple is stating that it is "caused by the crack in the screen." But being a repair technician I know that is not the case... Good one apple. So I took it upon myself to try to determine the REAL problem. Anyone with a little more knowledge have any ideas? Any suggestions are appreciated!!
Yes, I understand that. But The screen issue is not a result of user damage. The phone was not dropped when the screen got cracked. My daughter was standing in a chair at the table and dropped one of her toys onto the bottom of the phone and cracked it right by the home button. (Nowhere near the LCD/digitizer flex cables, connections, or logic board components) then a few months later my phone had died, I plugged it in, it showed it was charging, then Apple logo disappeared and screen didn't work. AFTER contacting Apple about the issue and them telling me that it "is a result of the very minimal crack to the sheet of glass that has no relation to the LCD or Digitizer and that the warranty does not cover it I had taken it upon myself to change the LCD/digitizer to no avail, as well as backlight ic and backlight coil to no avail. But how do I go about letting Apple know that it is in fact NOT due to the cracked screen nor is it due to the flex cable connections? I can't. So the lady that works the call center phones trying to "convince" me that she knows what she is talking about and "convince" me that it is from the cracked screen I have to take her word because I can't show Apple that its not because of that without paying them $199 to fix the screen in which case they will just send me a new phone rather than fix the faulty hardware under warranty.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. This initially started out as me trying to get my battery to work. my battery was dying after a few minutes so I was trying to kill the battery and recharge it to see if I couldn't get it back to a full charge. This didn't work but after a day or so I noticed the computer running slow and when I went to start it a couple days later the apple icon page would pop up and the little grey wheel would just whir away below it like it was thinking. The screen was kinda hard to see. Since then I have tried several different things to get the computer to fire back up as it should. I have taken out the battery and left it hoping the internal battery would die and it would reset itself to a default mode. Didn't work so I then tried taking the battery out and just using the power cord. This didn't work. I tried putting the battery out and in while running on the power cord. this didn't work. I have tried holding the "alt/option" key and that didn't work. Although it did give me a different window. I have tried holding down the "f" keys. That didn't work. I have tried installing a disc to try and reinstall the operating system. That didn't work. I had to shut it down and restart it holding down the eject key to get the disc back. I am running out of things I can think of to try so if anyone has any ideas I am open to all of them.

I have tried installing a disc to try and reinstall the operating system.
Disconnect all peripherals from your computer. Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.

A couple days ago I first noticed the problem when snapchats would appear on my lock screen but when I opened the app I kept getting the error message that the app was not able to refresh my story. Then the next day I was no longer able to send iMessages, they wouldn't go through and would only reach the second party when I sent them as text messages. Also, YouTube won't load and Mail won't send or receive email. I've already tried restarting my phone but there was no change. At first I thought my network connection was the problem but Instagram, Safari, Vine and Pandora all work perfectly. Any suggestions?
Try this procedure to be sure of a proper restart.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
I would also try: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings -
My iPhone 4S will not recieve calls or text messages. It also prevents me from sending calls or text messages. I have had my SIM card double checked for verification on the phone listed and had several visits to my Bell provider. Any tips or suggestions?
The iphone is designed to lock the screen when it is next to your face.
If it is not locking when it is against your ear, then try basic troubleshooting: Restart,reset, restore
Unless you have a case on it. If you have a case, then remove the case and see if that solves it. Otherwise, try basic troubleshooting.
If all fails then make an appointment at the local genius bar or call Apple support to arrange from a replacement. -
Can anyone help please. I cannot transfer any more photo files to my iTouch as the facilty has "frozen" on my computer and will not let me scroll up or down.
My computer is working perfectly in all other aspects - I simply cannot transfer any more files.
My iTouch is also working perfectely except for this probem and II don't want to reset my iPod as I will probably lose everything on it - ie Contacts - Addresses etc.

OK, what you have is an iMac G4 17-inch USB2.0. Good work.
Unfortunately, that model is among the hardest to service at home. Getting one apart is a job of modest difficulty; reassembling it so the heat dissipation system works properly is more difficult. Many have succumbed to heat-related failures following improper reasesembly.
Did you try my suggestion of booting the computer while depressing the mouse button?
When you start the computer can you hear a short sound from the optical drive?
If you put a light fingernail pressure between the tray and the computer case, does anything move?
If you need it serviced professionally, unfortunately Apple considers that model obsolete and will not work on them. You'd need to find an independent repair shop that really knows G4 iMacs. -
As of 2 months ago, I cannot fully access Facebook using either Safari or Firefox browsers. I have a Mac G5 running OSX 10.5.8, Safari 5.0.6 and Firefox 3.6.28. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this?

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace -

Would that PRAM thing help ? I think it may be the computer itself, well something inside, as this the first time that the fan has ever started running since I have this computer, even when I have 3 or 4 apps running.
