When i turn on my mac it has a pop up that reads your startup drive is full how do i empty it

how do i empty my start up drive when it is full

Okay, try starting your Macbook Pro with the original DVD that came with the system. Then start disk utiltiy to repair your hard drive.  If you hard drive is full you would need to open the terminal program and delete some files. That could be difficult if you don't know any Unix commands.
