Safe Boot disables several things, and you can look at the list and see if you can find the culprit. As Linc says, if you still have a problem, post a new topic so that it will get the attention it deserves.

Hi I do not want iTunes to open up automatically when I turn on my macbook pro. I tried going to System Preferences>Users and Groups>Login Items and then I took iTunes off the list but it still opens up automatically when I turn on my laptop. What should I do?
Hi r,
Make sure you close iTunes before shutdown. And you're quite welcome. -
When I turn on my Macbook Pro and sign in, the screen is blank, none of the icons appear, I can't click, open or do anything! Help!
You could try this; Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode.It takes awhile to come up so patience is a virtue here.
And here is What is Safe Mode.

When I turn on my Macbook pro retina display, a black screen show up while I hear the normal start up sound. I noticed that the machine gets very hot, any clue how to make it work?
If the Mac is too hot to touch, take it in for service.

When i turn on my macbook pro why does a bunch of things pop up
when i turn on my macbook pro why does a bunch of things pop up
It's the Resume feature of Lion:
Managing Mac OS X Lion's application resume feature.
If you shutdown your computer you should get a dialog asking if you want applications to resume on the next startup. Simply uncheck the box to prevent that from occurring. Open General preferences and uncheck the option to Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps. You can also install a third-party utility to control resume features on individual applications: RestoreMeNot or Application State Cleaner. -

My MacBook Pro fell and now when I turn it on its stuck at the apple logo screen with a loading circle underneath it. What can I do to get passed this?
Sounds like something internal was damaged in the fall, probably the disk drive. Take to Apple and ask them to fix it.

when i turn my macbook pro on , the apple logo shows up, but it is just loading. I have tried to turn if off , but the same problem appears. Someone know what the problem is?
Boot into Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot can take a few minutes compared to a normal boot.
Once you are in Safe Mode open System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items
If you have anything listed there to launch when you startup your Mac, delete all items.
Then go to the Apple menu / Restart.
You can also use Safe Mode to do a "live verification" of the startup disk in case it needs repairing.

When I turn on my MacBook Pro and when I am at the login screen, the background is white rather than steel gray. What is wrong and how can I fix it?
It turns out that iCloud caused this issue. When I turned iCloud off my login screen was completely normal.

When I started up my macbook Pro after a boat trip (just lying in my bag the whole time) it started making weird sounds. Why does it do that and how do I stop it?
The 13" retina MBP has two fans, left and right near the hinge and about 2.5" each from the edges of the case.
My conjecture is that one of the fans may be failing. An appointment at an Apple store genius bar is the best option. The evaluation will be FREE and a fan replacement (if that is the problem) should not break the bank account.
You might run an Apple Hardware Test:

This may confirm my suspicion or perhaps find a different problem. Note that an error free result should not be viewed as being definitive.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When you turn on the ipad2 it does not start up properly. The rotating disk that happens when you turn off the ipad appears after the apple logo comes up during start-up and stays there for ten minutes. Then, the ipad will start up properly.
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How can I shut off the automatic login when I turn on my MacBook Pro?
Ever since I updated to Yosemite I have been forced to enter my password whenever I turn on my MacBook Pro. I went to System Preferences/Users & Groups and see that the automatic login option is set to off, but it is shaded and I can't use the dropdown menu, even though I've unlocked it.
Is this a common issue? Am I just going to have to get used to signing in every time? I'm the only one who uses it, and it's a little annoying.
I've tried searching for help in the discussions and also on google, but I'm not finding any answers.
Help, please!Did you turn on FileVault when you upgraded to Yosemite? If it is on then a login password is required (sort of obviously). You can tell whether it is on by going to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Security & Privacy and click FileVault at the top and see if the words "Turn off FileVault" are in the button. I'm the only one who uses my Mac also, but the remote possibility of it being stolen makes it worth it to me to have FileVault turned on and a password required. I'm new in the Mac World. In November I bought a MacBook Pro. I love my MacBook, however, a couple of days ago when I turn on my MacBook and log in, a window or box prompts up for about one second and then dissapears. I'm afraid that may be a virus or trojan that may be running behind the screen. How do I fix this? Are there any applications that I can run to detect what is happening to my computer.
Thank you for your help!!!It was very hard to see what the box says because the message displays for less than one second. However, I was able to record it with my iphone and pause it until I got a shot of the message. The box says the following:
"Do you want the application “java” to accept incoming network connections?
Clicking deny may limit the application’s behavior. This setting can be changed in the Firewall pane of Security preferences."
I did make some changes. I will see if it works.
Thank you!!!
