When I type ' in a mail message the return activates and I drop down a line. Is there a bug fix for this?
When I type words like I've or I'll or can't, when I type the ' the curser drops down a line like this:
Hi, I'
m having trouble with my mail.
Can anyone help with this as it's driving me crazy.

Several thread on this.
Appears to be a random bug in Mail and Smart Quotes or Spell checking.
Some have found that disabling Smart Quotes in the Substitutions worked around the problem.
Others found that setting the spell check to check while typing instead of on send worked.

Here is an example:
I type Denver Dum in the google box.
It gives me several options, one is Denver Dumb Friends League, which is what I want. I bring the cursor to Denver Dumb Friends League and click. It does nothing. The google box still has Denver dum in it. The only way to get a search to be completed is if I type in the whole phrase and hit enter. How do I get it to search using just part of a phrase? Since moving to Maverick and the new updated of Keynote, I have a constant problem when typing in a text box, the program crashes. Is there a bug fix for this. Drives me nuts. Like many who can type quite quickly but at secretarial level, the text box freezes, nothing works and you know what's coming...crash!
This is most annoying. Is there bug fixes for this. Apparently I have the current updates and this problem still exists. Is it a Maverick bug or Keynote.
BarryHow did you install Mavericks, as an update ontop of the previous OS or did you wipe the drive and install clean?

After updating to ios 5, my calendar sometimes freezes when entering a new event. I have tried syncing but it doesn't fix the problem. Are there any bug fixes for this? Any ideas would be great thanks, I don't really want to have to reset everything!
Try to reset the iPod by pressing the home and sleep button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data doing a reset, but it can clear some glitches after installing new software or apps.

Hi. Whenever I go through one of the menus in firefox, the links remain highlighted after my mouse passes over them. Is there a bug fix for this or is there something wrong with my computer? I am running windows 7 if that helps. This problem started ever since I upgraded to version 5.
I have downloaded and used the iPod Reset Utility, alot that did. My current state is iTunes on my XP Home with SP3 sees the iPod. When I drag a song to the iPod, the Sync message appears for about 5 minutes, then the Apple symbol appears. But no song has been transferred to the iPod.
I tried to tap into the XP iTunes database from my iBook, but although it acted like it would add the XP library to the iBook library, it did not. I've got 19 Gs of songs on the XP. If I have to load each song from its original CD to get it on my iBook I'm going to start looking for some other app or device so that I can listen to my music.
It is a shame, in the old days, Apple techs use to look at what was going on, now it appears they don't, so they never know they have problems until Apple's profits fall. -
I previously had an iPhone 4 synced and paired with my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and had no issues. Now I have a new iPhone 5 and am able to sync the phone but the contacts will not update in the phone book listing for the vehicle. I've tried several times to re-sync and pair the phone to the vehicle and still the same issue. I'm able to make an receive calls but no contact information is being displayed. From all of the previous community issues reported it's not an AT&T issue, Hyundai issue, it's clearly pointing at the device (iPhone 5) being the issue.
Will there be a fix for this in the next update?
Thank you.Thanks for your response. However, after speaking with a level 2 Apple Advisor and Hyundai there is an issue that both companies are aware of and are working towards a resolution. Here's a blurb from Hyundai that was sent to me after I spoke with Apple Advisor:

Hyundai is aware of the iPhone losing its Bluetooth connection to the vehicle along with any function associated with it at the time. Hyundai has been able to reproduce the concern in our test vehicles and have sent all necessary information to Apple engineers. Hyundai received confirmation from Apple that they will work on debugging.

Have tried to install Itunes on laptop running 32 bit Windows 7 - it says it installed successfully but then when I click to open I get the message "the folder is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder."
You will have to descripe where the drive is and much more.
Then go and look at the drive and folder and who has group ownership policy and more.
It would have to be a guess, plus "20 questions" but why post here? when there are Snow Leopard, iMac, and of course, iTunes, Community forums.

After downloading IOS5, i can't access my itune and receive the following message "The Folder "Itune" is on locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder", noting that i access this folder in a normal way. Any clue ?
In my case its a new computer the old one was stolen and the time machine disk did not work for a restore but did for copying the info to the new mac

OS X Yosemite v10.10.3 Update - I had problems with my iMac after installing the previous update and I removed that update. Have there been problems associated with this update ?
I've been using it on all of my computer without any problems. Remember you won't see any positive comments here. Everyone here is complaining about a problem. If you want a good experience with any upgrade or update first make a backup from which you can boot the computer. If you are installing an update, like 10.10.3 for example, always download and install the Combo Updater - OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update. Before you install any update or upgrade over an existing system you should do this:Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu. -
In Itunes, my cd's are no longer burning in the specific order I list songs on a newly created playlist. Is there a quik fix for this issue?

I've tried to install Adobe Reader on my mom's computer, and after doing so, absolutely EVERYTHING on her computer turned into an Adobe file, including the shortcuts for Firefox. Is there a reason/fix for this?

Will there be a fix for the Bluetooth problems that me and many other iPhone 5 owners are experiencing?
Go to the settings in your Jeep, "forget" the iPhone. And on the iPhone "forget" the jeep. Then put the Jeep in Pairing Mode and tap Settings/BlueTooth on the phone and pair them anew (which sounds less confusing than "repair them").

In the Artist tab, I am unable to see all the songs I have for that artist under their name. It looks like the artist tab is organised by album artist so therefore any artist I have on a compilation album can only be found under various artists. Is there any way around this, cause its the only thing thats ******* me off about the new ITunes.
I used to have this problem.
First, you need to go back on iTunes
you need to go to each of the songs that are having this problem
Click the album so all the songs drop down
Right click the songs that have this problem
Click ' Get info '
Click the tab that says " info '
The box that says ' album artist ' should probably be empty (correct me if I'm wrong)
Click it and type the artist of the entire album, NOT the songs guest artist
as such,

These should be separate for each artist

How can I show the "file," "view," and "format" drop down menus on my tool bar?
I am a new mac and Pages user. So far, I think I have a handle on the inspector, but a lot of what I have been looking up requires clicking on the "insert" drop down menu...I don't show that on my screen. How do I get those menus to appear? I have discovered how to place the different icons on the tool bar, just not those drop downs.
