When i type in a word extra numbers are being added

When I type anything on the laptop - including the log-in password there are additional characters (nubers) that are appearing. Anyone any ideas

When I type the first word's letters are always mixed up

using an Apple extended USB keyboard that came with my mac pro (2x 3ghz Dual Core Xeon processor, 18gb 667MHz RAM)
It's like the Mac cant react fast enough to catch the first one or two letters and it just inserts them into the middle of the first word.
like "Hello" would be "ellHo" and "OK" is "KO"
the rest of the sentence is fine. or the rest of the paragraph, it seems to inly happen when I first select a text field or when I have been idle for mor ethan 30 seconds. this happens in all apps. Mail, Firefox, Textedit etc.
i have not yet unplugged the rest of my USB peripherals but that is my next step.
Ihave a ADF scanner, multifuncion printer, logitech wireless mouse, usb plantronics headset, iMo 7" USB monitor. running os 10.7.2
just upgraded and everything was fine in 10.6.x.
anyone else experience this?

I have similar problems with an Apple Wireless Keyboard (Bluetooth) and a MacBook Pro since installing Lion I am running 10.7.2 also. See https://discussions.apple.com/message/16701228#16701228 for more detail. I think it's a bug in Lion.

Click here and search the article for '2 out of 3' without the quotes; in the case of forgotten answers, this generally involves either a message being sent to your rescue email address or contacting the iTunes Store staff directly.

Invoice numbers are being skipped

hi all,
our client is running on 4.6c.
Oflate we have noticed that invoice numbers are being skipped. we are able to create invoice and save it... but when we are trying to display the invoice. it throws the error the invoice is not available.

We faced similar problem.
I woluld like to advise as follows
Check the table VBRK for docuement number list, then check how many numbers are missing. Then find out wheter it is periodically missing.
Please let me know how are you creating the invoices. If it is through Z program then you need to check the logic specifically for delay part as the invoice created will be in process for some time and then gets saved.
Thirdly you need to check after you save the docuemnt that is there any update flow error.
In such case also the system saves the docuemnt generates the number but is not able to mark the tabkle entries.

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Sharing to vimeo impossible. when I try to share to vimeo and begin my sign in, when I type "i" i get "inspector" instead of being able to type the "i" which is part of my online name. HELP!

imovie 11 with Mountain Lion trying to share a video to Vimeo...sign in impossible. Try to type my sign in name and password for Vimeo. When I type and "i" which is part of my user name it brings up "inspector" which is a feature of imovie....tried several times, same result.

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download IPhoto Library Manager 4 for OS XC 10.6.8 and iPhoto 8.1.2 and later or iPhoto Library Manager 3 (for OS X 10.5.8 and iPhoto 7.1.5 and earlier) and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 3) or Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu (iPLM 4) option.
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

When UPC code is scanned extra number "2" is added to the UPC number. Please contribute if anyone knows the reason

Numbers are not adding in Excel.

I am trying to print few values through grouping in RTF template ...
If you take a look at the below output, when I am trying to add Previous Year column values, the excel is not adding them up. ( mentioned in a note in the picture)

If I add the numbers in Current year column, that works again. Excel is adding the numbers.
The only issue is with previous year column.
Also, When I am trying to add Current year and Previous year in the excel output file (Not in Template)_ previous year values are not being added to current year.
Previous year column is in One data set and Currentyear column from another dataset.
can anyone please help? The user want to perform simple calculations like addition in the report output (Excel output)._
Also, I tried by convert Previous year column values to number in template. This didnt help me either.

We have seen some PDF documents having Arabic native numerals. But why a PDF document generated by Oracle reports is not able to show numbers in arabic style........
I want to know whether it is possible to get Arabic native numerals in PDF o/p generated by 9iDS report builder.
IS anything else needs to be done apart from configuring PDF subset section in uifont.ali in this regard.

I am using word. I type in black font, it shows black on the monitor but prints only in blue ink. What is wrong?

You sure that the monitor isn't set to a color or darkness that doesn't make dark blue look like black?
I would force the text color with Microsoft Word to black or automatic, and see if it makes a difference. It should be obvious by the spectrum when you choose it what color it is using. If it is not on the complete dark end of the spectrum, it could be picking dark blue.

How do I reference a table in a cell so that when I type in a word, other cells in that row are automatically filled in?

I'm making a cheat sheet for my fantasy football league. To this point I have separate sheets that list players at various positions (the sheets are characterized by the positions they cover i.e. quarterback/running back etc). I also have at the end a table that lists a team abbreviation (identical to how I would reference the team in the other sheets) with that team's bye week and schedule listed.
I want to be able to type a team name next to a player's name and have that team's information be filled into the cells on the same row, by referencing that table I have at the end.
Can anyone help? Very much appreciated. Thanks.

When I type in search words in the google box and then drop down to the search that matches what I want, and click on it, it does absolutely nothing. It used to complete the search, how do I get it to complete the search?

Here is an example:
I type Denver Dum in the google box.
It gives me several options, one is Denver Dumb Friends League, which is what I want. I bring the cursor to Denver Dumb Friends League and click. It does nothing. The google box still has Denver dum in it. The only way to get a search to be completed is if I type in the whole phrase and hit enter. How do I get it to search using just part of a phrase? It used to do this before I upgraded to the newer version of firefox. Thanks!

Sometimes when I type in Pages, words get crossed out in a weird glitch. It's really annoying. How can I get rid of this?

This is an example of what happens, usually after the text reaches the end of the column and goes to the next line. I was also using bullets when I was typing this.

I suggest using something like OnyX to clear font caches. I had a problem just the other day with weird blue invisibles boxes in all of my Pages documents. I tried manually deleting them but it didn't work until I used OnyX.

Letters and numbers are being deleted when I import a PDF file to my catalogue

I have a business catalogue that I change from time to time. I will make the changes in MS Word 2003 and then convert the document to a PDF file. I will then import the PDF file to my catalogue. Recently when I have impurted the PDF file I have noticed that letters on pages above the inserted PDF file and letters below the inserted PDF file will be missing. I recently updated my Acrobat Reader from 8.0 to 9.0, so maybe that is an issue.

How are you converting the documents to PDF ? Are you using Acrobat, if so, which version of Acrobat?
Also, what exactly do you mean when you "import the PDF file into my catalog". Which software are you importing the PDF into?
