When I updated I lost Java on the Wash Post crossword site how do I get it back?

That is the only site (that I am aware of) where I lost Java but I would like to get it back.

More system details list doesn't show the Java plugin, so if you updated Java then something went wrong.

You can download apps again for free from the app store via the purchased tab at the bottom of the screen in the app store app. You must use the same Apple ID that you bought the apps with.
Are the apps still in iTunes on your computer? If they are - sync them back onto the iPad.

Just try resyncing it from your iTunes library.
If it was not in your iTunes library when you did the update it is gone.

When an iPhone updates, it wipes the whole device clean and then reinstalls the software and then the backup. Obviously you didn't create/couldn't create a backup either via iCloud or iTunes. You can get your apps back when you go to App Store>Updates>Purchased and download the apps you want.

Drag the Safari icon straight up and off the Dock so it goes, "poof" ...
Now click and hold the Safari app in the Applications folder and drag that to the Dock.
See if you can open a webpage in Safari.

I recently forgot a new passcode on my phone so it became locked. i went to rest this via itunes but when it came to restore the phone non of my data including contacts, apps, messages, photos etc are available. It seems to have restored to a back up from after the phone was wiped. How can i get these back?

There's one other variable, although it shouldn't really come in to play but worth checking anyway. Is it possible that the backup was made using a higher version of iOS than the one you are running now? For example, if you were running the iOS 7 beta, then restored to version 6.1.3, the backup would not be listed as you cannot restore to a backup made on a device running a higher version of iOS. If that's the case, you would have to update to the same or higher version of iOS in order to access your backup.

You should have been sycning them with your computer all along. Sync them from your computer back to the iphone.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?

The icon for Safari has probably moved to make room for new apps. Scroll the Home screen to look for it.
You cannot reverse the upgrade.

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

The voicemail system used for the iPhone is different from the voicemail system used on the rest of the Verizon Wireless network. If you can open Safari go to the top of your screen, click Safari / Preferences then select the General stab. You can type in the web address for your Home page there.
