Thanks. I am sure you are correct, although I don't recall installing it and I only discovered it after the update to Lion. That is why I thought there was some connection. Anyway, I have deleted the folder and its applications. Thanks again for setting me straight.

You have categorised this as both Messages (App) and Mail (App) and I am not sure which you are using.
The Messages App does not normally send a Copy to the Mail app.
Mail however does has an "Automatically CC: myself" setting in the Preferences > Composing.

We have different iTunes accounts
Mine has far less content than hers as you'd expect
My iPhone only showed the music held in my account until I subscribed to iTunes Match At that point all her music loaded onto my iPhone
Why? and what do I do to resolve this please?iTunes Match is associated with a specific Apple Id. If you use the same Id to enable iTunes Match on your IOS device you will see the same Songs.
Once iTune Match is enabled on a device (your shared computer for example), Apple cares about not allowing another Apple Id to be associated with that same device for a period of 90 days. Thus having more than one Apple Id associated with a single device to support multiple active iTunes Match subscriptions is simply not supported.
Whilst your music would be combined, you can from a single device associate more than one library with iTunes Match - until you can access separate devices this is perhaps the best compromise. -
Hello there - how can I share my iTunes library between two users on the same computer? I put the library in a shared folder between both and have selected this library on both as well, but when I update iTunes with music etc it only appears on one?
Thank you Joe - I tried this but it's only showing a teensy amount of music - the stuff on the second users account as opposed to the giagntic library on the 'main' account. I actually went to a Genius Bar and they said that apple doesn't really want you to share music between accounts - parents don't want to hear their kids music etc. Which seemed strange, but it might be the case sadly Thanks anyway!

I am a windows user that has converted to Mac and loving it but when I updated to Lion my wireless internet dongle would not work anymore and the Macbook Pro does not recognise the device at all so I am unable to reinstall it again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Go to Finder > Preferences then select the General tab
Make sure External disks is selected. -

Buy version 2011 of MS Office.
Or you can download OpenOffice, LibreOffice or NeoOffice, which all come very close to working with MS files just like MS Office does.
Or iWord, I have heard, you can purchase. -
Alas, I updated to Lion and need to remove Appleworks from laptop. I am putting items onto a CD so I may be able to work on a Leopard machine.What, besides the application (folder) else do I need to remove to the CD?

No. Your user accounts will be maintained.
HOWEVER, that doesn't mean you shouldn't backup first, in case anything goes wrong (and if you don't backup and things don't work out as intended, you've only yourself to blame!). -

I have just updated to Lion and now my folders no longer show number of items on the bottom. Is there a fix for this? I allways found that handy. Now I have to click on an icon on the top, This is a backward step if that is now the only way to see the number of items. Am I missing something obvious?

In the good old days of Snow Leopard, an open Finder folder had a border along the bottom of the window which could show the number of items in that window and the total available space on the hard disk or partition that folder resides on. That bottom border is gone in Lion and those two bits of information are gone with it. Is that what you're talking about? If so, I'd like to learn how to get it back too and "Show Item Info" is not the way. -
Hello, my email is connected to Lotus Notes. When I updated my iPad to iOS 6, it REQUIRED that I have a password for the iPad or else my email wouldn't work or synchronize with Lotus Notes (on my work laptop). This is really frustrating, because I cannot disable the password under General<Passcode. Thanks!
This would almost certainly be a setting that is being enforced by your company. You'll need to talk to them about this.

Which os do you have? Which version of iPhoto did you update to? Did you check iPhoto's trash? Finder's trash? Did you repair permissions and restart your computer after updating?

I bought a MacBook Pro last year. I have a redeem code for Os X Lion 10.7. I had to erase all my data on HD. Now i cant update to Lion 10.7 and there is no way a i can download the update from apple unless i pay... AGAIN????
Exactly which Mac OS X version is currently intalled?
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
If you see v10.7 you can use Lion Recovery to reinstall OS X.
