When I upgraded to Mozilla 8, an add appeared on my browser page and the mozilla search bar is gone

I upgraded to firefox 8, then an add from mozilla popped up on my browser page and won't go away. I can no longer see my mozilla search bar due to the add being there.

I solved the problem by restarting Firefox in safe mode and choosing "restore default search engines" on the restart menu. You can restart in safe mode by choosing "restart with add-ons disabled" in the Help menu. Firefox will close, then a window opens with several options. The one on the bottom is "restore default search engines". Click it, then click OK.

Sorry should have said, when I log in my emails pop up momentarily. Then, it seems as if the pages aren't loading. A message comes up on the bottom left that the pages are loading, then errors occur and nothing happens.

I have tried to access your link, or just kb.mozillazine.org several times over the past hour without success...

When i select and try to load a page from the google search bar firefox freezes - firefox 4 win 7 bullguard antivirus.

When I search for something in the google search bar, the search completes but if I select a result firefox freezes and will not load the page. Pages load ok from bookmarks.

Were you typing in the search box on the Navigation Toolbar, or in the search box on a Google page?
Did the entire browser turn upside down, or just the page content?
Because you posted from IE10, the forum didn't capture any information about your plugins or extensions. Rather than compile a list, you might just try Firefox's Safe Mode, a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

Safe mode does not automatically disable plugins. If you want to rule those out as well, you can disable them here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category

Move the incompatible iPhoto version to the Trash, before you try to reinstall from the AppStore, but don't empty the Trash.

The main idea is to move the iPhoto app to the Trash, so Spotlight does not see it as installed, reload the AppStore Purchases tab with ⌘R, and then to try to download again from the App Store - from your Purchases tab, not from the main page, since you can neither buy iPhoto nor update it, but you can reinstall, if your AppleID is associated with it.

This is usually a problem with hardware acceleration.
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

There was no new serial needed to update from Logic 9 to 9.1.7
If your Logic 9 was an upgrade from Logic 8 it may be asking you for your original Logic 8 Full serial first and then your Logic 9 Upgrade serial...
Otherwise, it's best to call Apple directly and get them to help you...

same problem here for the past two days till this morning when I created a new profile and removed ALL addons from the default profile. With the new profile with NO addons, I got to the sites with video that I had problem with and flash player did work.
Now, I only have three addons that have not created the problem; adblock, flashgot, and flashblock.
Create a new profile and check it out.

When I try to open Adobe Reader, it just opens a gray page and then closes by itself. This also applies to any pdf files I try to access; they'd all follow the same pattern: Gray page-->automatically closes after 2 to 3 seconds time. I have tried accessing the Eula.exe via C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, however, the only available button for me to click is the "Decline" button and not the "Accept" license agreement. Please help!
