Do not use Mirroring, simply AirPlay the content to the ATV.

When I use airplay to watch hbo go through Apple TV it starts running. However for no apparent reason it will suddenly stop and the error message that I need hdcp something comes on and then I cannot continue watching it. Why do my images appear washed out when I use Save for Web?

A: Photoshop is a color-managed application. The Web is not. Normally, when you view an image in
Save for Web or
ImageReady you are viewing it without color management and see it how it will appear when uploaded to the Web.
To minimize changes, Convert your image to sRGB (i.e from
Edit menu choose
Convert to Profile )before using
Save for Web. You should also make sure that
Save for Web has been configured so that images are displayed using the document color profile (see attached screenshot for guidance).
You should also ensure that your monitor properly calibrated and the gamma is set to 2.2.

I Want to See the RAWs, not the JPEGs

I'm still using the trial version of Aperture... quite a learning curve, but I like the features I see so far...
I've been shooting RAW+JPEG with my Nikon D80. I use the "stacking" feature of Aperture when I import the images. But Aperture seems to want to put the JPEGs on top, rather than the RAW files.
I really don't want to see the JPEGs. Is there someway to get it to default to the RAW files instead?

I shoot RAW+JPG on my Canon, and I too imported my pictures into iPhoto, and then migrated to Aperture. I did not use the stack option while importing into Aperture. Rather, once I had my projects in Aperture, I used the auto-stack feature. I clicked the slider to change from "Off" to "0:00", and that didn't actually do anything. Then I moved the slider to auto stack 3 or 4 seconds worth, and then back to 0 seconds. and the result was that the JPG and RAW file were stacked together. However, in my case, the RAW was the automatic Pick.
I wonder if the order of the auto stack is based on the file name. My Canon Raw files are .CR2, and therefore alphabetically before the .JPG file with the same sequence name. Are your Nikon files .NEF? They would be alphabetically after .JPG files. Do yours have the same date/time stamp? Mine do, and when I auto-stack, the first item alphabetically is the pick.
If your photos have the same date/time stamp, it may be a long shot, but here's an idea:
Unstack everything
Sort by date/time
Sort in reverse
Auto stack to 0:00 (like I first described).
I haven't tried this, but it's worth a shot.

No sound when using Airplay for Movies on Apple TV

For reasons unknow, when I try to stream full length movies (Lion King and Nemo bought from iTunes) from my iPhone or Macbook Pro using Airplay, there is no sound. When I stream smaller movies, like Boundin' the Pixar Short, there is no problem.
Side note 1: Why do purchased movies not show up like purchased TV shows on Apple TV? I feel like I shouldn't have to use Airplay for movies if I don't need to use it for TV shows I buy.
Side note 2: For some Netflix movies played directly from Apple TV there is no sound. Other movies work fine and the movies that work or don't work seem to change day to day.

Apple has not negotiated the rights to allow this is the assumed reason.
We can't even play Purchased music or TV Shows from the cloud in UK.

I have the same problem in Mavericks, but I'd say, more important, with QuickLook.
Indeed Quicklook can't read avi movies anymore. Actually it always been the case, but with Perian we were able to fix it. The problem is that Perian is no longer available for Mac OS 10.9....
I'd assume that our only hope is Apple themselves... It would be nice from Apple to creat an add-on for quicklook to be able to preview the avi movies.
In regards with quicktime, you can download QuickTime 7 here:

and ask all the .avi movies to be played by QuickTime 7 and not QuickTime X (included into Mac OS).

This is usually due to the app not allowing video to airplay for nebulous rights reasons.
Check the app provider's website or itunes store reviews.

I have had the same error on SQL2008 and now on SQL2012 SSIS, but have been able to eliminate / workaround.
We have a Loop Container in our Control flow that contains a data-flow task with an MDX source. The MDX query for the data-flow source is dynamically built (via an expression) on each iteration of the Loop container (however it always returns the "same shaped"
results - only the filters in the WHERE clause are different).
We've found the error to be somewhat intermittent - sometimes the package will complete successfully, other times it will fail with the 0x80040E05 error at varying iterations thru the container loop.
To alleviate the problem we setup the SQL Agent job-step for this package to re-try on failure for up to 5 retries - not an ideal workaround, but it helped to improve the success rate of the Job.
We have no idea why this error is occurring or what is causing it, however it appears to be timing-related in some way and I have only seen the issue when using a SSAS OLE-DB data source with a dynamically generated MDX query. I have managed to virtually
eliminate the error from occurring with a not ideal workaround in the SSIS package - no idea why this works/helps (hopefully Microsoft will be able to work it out and resolve the issue as it's been plaguing us since SQL2008 and is still here in SQL2012

Workaround for MDX causing 0x80040E05 error:
Within our loop container we have added a Script task with OnSuccess precedent constraint to the data-flow task that contains the dynamically generated MDX source query. The script task simply introduces a WAIT in the processing immediately after the
data-flow task completes of about 5 seconds, before allowing SSIS to continue with the next iteration (e.g. System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000)).
With this delay in place we have had much more stable SSIS package executions - dont know why, but that's what we havce observed. Also note that when we migrated to SQL2012 SSIS packages the 0x80040E05 error returned, however we were able to eliminate it
once more by increasing the WAIT time to 10 seconds on this script task.
Now waiting for 10 seconds is not an ideal solution / workaround to this problem - particularly when it is contained within a Loop Container (in our case it has added nearly 30 minutes of "WAIT time" to the package execution duration), however this workaround
is better than having the package fail 80%+ of the time...

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

If you lost sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you are running iOS 5 or iOS 6, the system sound control is in the task bar at the bottom. Double tap the home button and swipe all the way to the right in the task bar to get to the speaker icon on the left side. Tap on that and the sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.
