You can try the 30 pin to lightning adapter but I'm not sure if that'll work. So if you get it to experiment, make sure you can return it. Apple does sell a SD to lightning adapter for the newer devices. So that should be a sure bet. The main downside is that your 30 pin camera kit came with both USB and SD for 29 and now the USB adapter is 19 and the SD adapter 29, so more expensive.
You may want to look into third party adapters, but make sure you use a reputable manufacturer (ie not a cheap no-name off amazon) because iOS7 brought with it software that looks for a signed chip in the adapter. And a chip is 'signed' when a company gets apple's permission to make accessories. I would suggest sticking with companies like Belkin, Kensington and Targus. They seem to be of a better reputation when making things and would have a signed chip. -
Ok, I have deleted EVERYTHING off my 16gb ipad. Photos, music, apps. All I have are the standard apps. It says I have used 11gb and only have 1.6 left. When I first bought it I had up to 4 movies and lots of apps, no problems. What's going on please!?

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

When I set up Adobe reader on my computer to be able to download books from a library and then transfer to my Nook e-reader, I initially stating No authorization required using Adobe. When I try to change it so I can transfer downloaded books by my Nook e-reader it I get an error message stating the Adobe user name and password is associated with another computer. What gives?
This is pretty surprising and wierd that even Reader 10.1.1 is crashing on your system. It works pefectly for me.
Would it be possible for you to get the crash dump, and upload it, so that I can have a look at the same.
Download PROCDUMP from <http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx> and extract it to a folder, say, c:\temp\procdump.exe
Open cmd prompt and type "cd c:\temp".
Launch the browser and open the PDF.
Open task manager, sort processed by name. Two AcroRd32.exe instances should have been launched. Note the PID (a small integer like 5588) corresponding to the AcroRd32.exe with the higher memory usage; this is the process that must be crashing. Note this PID.
On the cmd window, type "procdump -e -ma 5588 c:\temp\01.dmp" (replace 5588 with the actual PID of the process noted in Step 4). Procdump will now wait for the aoolication to crash. If it throws a EULA, accept it.
Perform your steps to cause the crash.
Procdump will have created a dump file at "c:\temp\01.dmp". Zip it up (since it will be 100s of MBs otherwise) and share with me.

thanksBasically, when you use, say, a BoundingSphere, you're setting the bounding region to be symmetric about the point (0, 0, 0) of the local coordinate system of the object it is bounding/activiating/scheduling.
A BoundingLeafNode specifies an alternate coordinate system about which to bound the behavior, allowing to to be non-symmetric, and allowing items in different positions to share the same bounding region.
The API Specification Guide provides a good example of where this could be useful.
Let's say you were designing a room with three point lights, in different spots about the room. You want the reqion inside the room to be the bounding region. But each light will see that region differently, because their local coordinate systems are different. A boundingLeafNode would define the room from a single local coordinate system, and all the lights would see that region the same.
Ok, you say, but you could still have used a BoundingBox object. Correct. But now imagine that there are 30 lights. I certainly don't want to design 30 Bounding Boxes so that each one specifies the room in it's own coordinate system. And imagine if these lights were moving. Lets say you want to simulate a disco-ball. Now, the bounding region would have to change each time the lights move. But not if the bounding region is specified by a static coordinate system.
That should give you a pretty good idea of what the advantages are.

Ok, first time here, so forgive me if Im repeating the question. I just ordered a NEW iPad 4 32gb from Amazon, but is actually being sold by a seller called "iPadShop". Although this seller got a high approval rating of 4.9 there were several reports of customers receiving used and refurbished iPads but sold as new. Once I receive mine how can I verify it is new. Also, even the ones that were new were purchased by this seller and then resold, which shortened the life of the 1 year warranty offered by Apple..?
If you just ordered it, I suggest you cancel your order as soon as possible. If you can't contact Amazon, call your credit card company and cancel payment on that. Why go through worrying about the ipad you are paying for as new? If it's to save money, then that can be defeated if you get a used or refurbished ipad with a less than full one year warranty. You'll be dealing with the ipad shop's return policy which could mean that once you open it, it's yours, unlike when you buy from Apple you have a full 14 days to return it even if you've opened it.
I looked at Amazon and did not see a price difference. If cost led you to buy from Amazon, what are you saving?
I suggest you buy it directly from Apple. If cost is an issue, consider buying a refurbished ipad from the Apple online Refurbished store. I would not buy a refurbished anything from anywhere but the Apple online refurb store.
The ipad 4 32 gb is $499.00 refurbished - a savings of $100.00 vs. a new one. We bought two ipads last year and one as a gift this year and they have been great!
All ipads sold in the Apple refurb store come with new front and back covers, a brand new battery, a full one year warranty, and in case it matters, come in a new white Apple box like all ipads do. iPad, iOS 6.1.3Where did you get the device? Is it possible that it has an IT policy on the device blocking Facebook and/or Facebook options? Look in Options >Security Options >General Settings (actual menu paths vary with OS version) and see if there is any reference to IT policy.

You can either go back to them and take up their offer to repair or you can try the Nokia warranty which will involve you contacting Nokia direct either by taking it to an authorised/approved Nokia care centre or submitting an online claim under the warranty to Nokia and following whatever instructions they issue for sending the phone to them.
You have not so far contacted Nokia as you have dealt only with EE.
I'm surprised the EE assistant told you the phone was being sent to Nokia rather than their inhouse technicians although I think that was simply a mistake on the assistant's part.
How did you get a PAYG phone from EE? I thought EE were offering contracts only.
So far as time scales EE don't post phones backwards and forwards on an individual basis. The shops use courier services and the frequency of deliveries and collections will depend on the number of shops in a town and the level of goods going back and forth. -

kathryn.You can't restore to a backup that was taken on a device which has a higher version of iOS than on your iPad, you will have to update your iPad to 8.1.3 to be able to restore to it

My kids use my apple id for their ipods. Now I'm getting an ipad and wondering if I should get a new id (they don't want to start over). Can we share the id (my email address) but not have to see each other's apps, contacts, etc? I'd rather share I think, but don't want to create a nightmare for myself. So first I'd say that it's not a good idea to start a new apple id if you have a large purchase history. You may not transfer purchases between apple IDs. You should consider some other options listed here http://support.apple.com/kb/HE37 Primarily the option where you or your children have seperate icloud accounts/email accounts that sync their contacts apart from yours. You may use your apple ID for purchases and use a different one for icloud/email/etc.

Numbers does not open with the main user after installing mountain lion. It works flawlessly when I use the second account on my mac. What got corrupted in the admin-account, something in the user-library? How can I fix it? I´m kinda desperate... (the same happens with the other iWork-Apps!)

0) Quit ALL iWork apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers)
1) from the Finder select the menu item "Go > Go To Folder…". This will bring up a dialog:
2) enter the path "~/Library/Preferences" (no double quotes)
3) find the files:
com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist
com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist
com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist
and move these to the trash. I would NOT empty until later.
4) restart Numbers -

I was trying to take my Mac air to factory default settings.
I've done all that it says in the documment i was following, and them during the process it asked me the APPLE ID.
I put the apple id i have in my iphone. But it's not the one... it's said that i don't have any OSX associated with it... so it can not install the OSX.

When trying to start Firefox again I got a message saying "Close Firefox. A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." This question is addressed in Mozillazine but nothing I've tried from there seems to work. I started a new Profile from the Profile Manager which at least gets me up and functioning, but weirdly enough the Manager also tells me the old (Default) profile is still running, though I can't find a way to close it. I also can't find the Default profile in my profile manager. can anyone help?

I get this message on my Facebook news feed when someone posts a YouTube video. Don't know why. It's worked fine for years. I am using Safari on my iPad. If I use the Facebook app it works fine. Any thoughts.
