When I use Find Font command from Type menu, the overprint fill changed!
Can any one tell why the overprint fill attribute checked when I use Find Font from Type menu to simple change the font.
Try this Illustrator file from this URL:

and change the font of letter B in the illustration using Find Font command to and font and notice how the overprint fill changed from uncheched to checked.
The problem happens here, even if I first change the color to CMYK 0000 prior to using find font.
Anything we need to know about the history of this file, was it originally a pdf, or those text objects.
Manually changing the font does not turn overprint on, Find Font is toggling the overprint value in the code for this probably due to somehting abnormal in the code, or maybe be associated to this font's name triggers this glitch.

Safari problem: when I switch back into safari from another application, the menu bar comes up but no tabs or windows. What's going on? Just started yesterday. I have found a workaround: when I Command Tab back to safari, I hit command T to open a new tab and Command W to close it, and my other tabs are visible.
I have tried shutting down, closing tabs, with no success. What's going on and how can I fix it?

PS: I'm not sure of the actual OS level, but I have not allowed it to upgrade to Maverick yet; concerned about it because of a few things I've read...A Safari extension or third party plugin may be causing the menu bar issue.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
As for which OS X is installed.
Click the Apple () menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac.
The version is noted there.

It's your choice whether or not to upgrade to Mavericks. If you decide to do this, make sure your Mac meets the requirements noted here. -
When I print to PDF using Acrobat 11 Pro from any application the acrobat Reader does not launch automatically. Associations are correct. Happens from Chrome, IE, Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Previously had deskPDF installed but uninstalled correctly. Can't find a preference setting for the auto launch. Thx for your help, Bruce
A simple way is to flatten the form fields, which converts the field appearances to regular page contents. You can do this with JavaScript or PDF Optimizer (Advanced > PDF Optimizer > Discard Objects > Flatten form fields). Now the first question is, when you are saying connecting to personal hotspot, have you always been using the iPhone to connect to the internet? Are you someplace where the only place to connect is available via tethering to the iPhone's celluar network? Or do you have other options? -
My phone is lost. When I use "find my phone", it says that my phone is "offline". It has a charged battery and I hadn't turned it off. When I call my number it immediately goes to the voice mail. Does that mean someone has found it and turned it off? What should I be doing. I have used icloud to lock and send a message to my phone but if it is offline does that do anything? HELP!!

It may be that someone has turned it off or it may be that it has been lost in an area where there is no reception. The best thing that you can do, is contact your provider and let them know that you have lost your phone, and change your iCloud password at My Apple ID -

I've got an iMac from 2009, 4 GB RAM. System shuts down when I use safari or make much moves on the trackpath. Use Mavericks, installed Mavericks again on clean system. Problem still exist. What now?
The 2009 iMaccan take 8 GB ram, while it should run ok with 4 it might be a rather inexpensive test to put in 8 and see if that clears up the problems. Mavericks is going to use almost 2 GB itself so, unless you are opening a lot of applications, you should get by with 4 GB. But I would go for 8 and see how it does.

You will need to ask the people who developed that (in the development support @ SAP). It´s used for doing special tests, increase trace levels etc.

My password works fine when I turn the computer on, but when I try to wake it from sleep mode the computer doesn't recognize my password -- the same one I used successfully when I turned the computer on.
Okay, I seem to have solved the problem I posted about earlier. I noticed that the language preference in the upper right hand corner of the screen (between the date and time and the Spotlight icon) had somehow gotten switched from American English to French. When I switched it back to American English, my password worked when waking the computer from sleep mode. I have no idea why changing the language preference would affect the way the password works but that seems to have been the case. I'll post again if I experience more problems.

When I try to buy ibooks from my ipad, the virtual keyboard is not the same as my computer keyboard, and since my password consists of letters, numbers and symbols, the ipad keeps displaying "incorrect password". Is there any way around this please anybody?

Are you using the virtual keyboard to input your password and you cannot see/find the characters you need on that keyboard?
Or are you trying to use a bluetooth keyboard and pressing the printed key does not produce the right character? -

Before exiting your program, serialize your TreeMap to disk. After starting your program serialize your TreeMap from disk.
First stop should be your text book to learn what Serialization is and how it works, then try to write some code, then ask us to help with any problems.
