When i use firefox with mafia wars none of the pictures display - i think i hit a hide picture button?

using mafia wars, it does not show any of the pictures only the words so it makes it difficult to know where to click. mafia works fine when i open in chrome - so it is something i did while using firefox.

With the site on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button]) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show].
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

The problem occurs when I try to respond to an email or forward an attachment with an email. I always get a message that "the silverlight plug-in has crashed". I send a crash report or reload the page but it does not solve the problem.

You can try to disable Out-Of-Process-Plugins for the Silverlight plugin to see if that helps. This may however cause Firefox to crash instead.

I'm using Firefox with Ubuntu 11.04 and the Import and Backup-button cannot be found in the Library-window as instructed, how can I enable this particular feature on Ubuntu 11.04?

The import and backup-button is, however, where it's supposed to be on Ubuntu 10.10.

Ubuntu may have moved those three button as well to that control bar.

I've done a separate search and found that other users are affected, but there doesn't seem to be a clear-cut solution ... (Norton, McAfee and Kaspersky don't seem to be able to detect/fix it).
I'd like to continue using the Firefox/Google combination (nb: the hijack virus also affects IE but not Safari) - do you have a patch/fix that could rectify the vulnerability in your software?

You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.

Compared to google chrome, when using firefox with fb, it is choppy and so slow to load new tabs and general info. Google is by far superior wish you could make ff the equal as I use both simultaneously

I use google chrome and firefox at the same time, logged on to different accounts in fb, google chrome functions smoothly, opening new windows or tabs or even just loading is quicker, firefox fills like it is working to hard, like pulling teeth, new tabs are slow to open, new windows are slower, just loading fb is slower, the whole experience is extremely choppy. Even when just using firefox alone, it is extremely choppy, not really sure how to explain it. It used to be the equivalent to goggle chrome and my browser of choice.

That formatting feature for text areas is known as Rich Text editing. Easy to enable on the web page with one line of code to tap into the Midas package that Mozilla uses, but the users can't enable it themselves from within Firefox.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

I have been using Firefox for about two years. For about a month now I have been unable to view any Google advertisements that run on YouTube pages alongside and under videos. CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

It sounds like you have the wrong printer selected.
When you get the Print window, pick another printer from your printer dropdown. You seem to have a fax printer selected instead of a physical printer.
