When I visit certain sites the links are broken, only with FF. Switch to IE Tab and they work fine, what do I do?

Two sites where this happens, that I visit often are mlb.com and woot.com
Here are the error messages:
From MLB.com - "We are sorry, but you have reached this page in error. Please try the action again and if the problem continues contact Customer Service. 404 Error - Document not found"

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Does this problem affect all sites, or only some? Try going to a Google search results page and click a few links. Then, come back a day later and see if they are still visited.
It may be that the links that get reset are coming from a frameset. Firefox only remembers history from framesets temporarily, which affects sites that use them. (An example would be the craigslist forums)

Since other millions of people updated and do not have that problem - it means one of two.
1.Your friends lied to you and do not have that problem and in that case only your installation of ios7 got corrupted and you need to restore your phone.
2.Your friends didn't lie to you and all 4 of you need to restore phones (that way reinstalling ios 7 properly)

If you Go to the app store on your phone, then go to updates you should have a purchased icon at the top.
Click on that and it will show the apps you have downloaded before as they are stored on the icloud.
Then you should be able to click on the app and redownload it, not sure if it will charge but its worth a try.

I have an Iphone 5c that wont power on, I have tried the chargers and cables and they work fine so I now beleive it is the phone

Am also having this problem. Daughter's iPhone 5c failed completely the other week after experiencing the same problem. We had a replacement phone provided that I picked up on Friday, and still have exactly the same issue with charging.
Have bought a brand new Apple Lightening cable but no joy - when switching on the phone the battery is showing as dead with an image of the lightening cable (assume this means it wants a cable plugging on). No joy with any other cables, all of which incidentally work on my own iPad Air.
Strange as well that this started happening once the IOS8.3 upgrade was loaded. With my iPad, I have not upgraded the IOS and it works fine.
So unsure if it is a software or a hardware issue. I've tried rebooting by holding the Home and On-Off switches, tried connecting it to iTunes which doesn't show the phone nor does the computer recognise it as an external device.
Really am tearing what's left of my hair out with this one - have already had three visits to the Apple Store at the Trafford Centre and can't face another......help!!!!!

Adobe Reader License Agreement pops up when I visit certain sites

Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone can help.
On certain machines when I visit a specific web site through IE7 I get the Adobe Reader 8 'License Agreement' popup that asks me to accept or decline.
This doesn't happen on all sites and I can't understand why AReader8 is getting involved since the site is pure HTML and does not involve PDFs.

Make sure Readr is closed. Go to the Applications form, look for the Adobe Reader icon, double click on it, and follow the lead. Restart Reader when finished.

When I pull up my Pinterest website, it will not display pictures, only some words. It's like the links are broken.

When I pull up Pinterest, the pictures on my boards will not show up. It just has some words. It said it may be because my browser was not updated. I was using Internet Explorer and I tried updating to Windows Microsoft 8. That did not solve the problem. I then installed Firefox as my browser but the pictures still do not come up. It did not give me that error message though that my browser was out of date. What do I need to do to make Pinterest work correctly and show images and video clips that are on my boards and on the site in general?

I had this problem. I solved it by disabling the Avast Online Security Extension 9.0.2006.53 updated Dec. 11, 2013.

Safari quits when I visit certain sites...

I've just migrated over from to a new MacBook Pro from an iMac and i'm having problems with Safari. Everytime I visit a site that has a video embedded inside it Safari quits. For example when I visit www.apple.com/quicktime it will quit before it loads the video.
I thought this was a problem with Safari, but then I tried Internet Explorer and Firefox and the same happened. I've had a look on the support forums but it's all a bit too technical for me. Could anyone point me in the direction of a solution please?

I am not sure, but I suspect some incompatibility in programs that run the Power PC chip as opposed to the Intel chip.
You could check the add ons/plug ins. One thing that occurred to me is that the Flip4mac module may be a problem (you need version 2.1 for Intel-based Macs).

I send emial with links and anchors and when someone else forwards that, the links are converted to http addresses that go to gmail!

I send out an email with many "internal" links, that is, links that go to anchors within the email. someone else picks up the email and forwards it to others. Now, instead of looking like this:
#GHNNCEP
the link looks like this:
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#14c1630a55126b2f_GHNNCEP
and of course does not work as intended.

When I put in my earphones to listen to music the sound isn't clear and I have to push and hold them in it in order for it to be. It's not the earphones because I use them in my laptop and they work fine. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Whenever I put my earphones into my iPod Touch 2g the music isn't clear and I have to push and hold them in order to hear the song normally. It isn't the earphones because I tried another pair, that worked fine, and there was still no difference. I also use the same pair of earphones in my laptop and it sounds great. Is there a way to fix this problem without having to buy a brand new iPod touch? Do I need to clean it or something? And if so, how would I go about doing that? Thanks!

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
If still problem that indicates you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours. Likely not worth it for your old 2G iPod

X48 Mobo Computer when switched on repeatedly reboots and sometimes works fine

My problem is this. Whenever I switch on the computer, at times, it'll run fine. At other times, it'll not even boot into the POST screen and there will be a blank screen for about 5-10 seconds before the computer switches off on its own, before switching back on again. When it does switch back on again, it may or may not boot into POST. At times it does, at other times it doesn't. My BIOS is the newest available, Version 7.0, and all settings ini BIOS are set to default.
However, when the computer manages to boot up, it runs perfectly. I've stress-tested it by leaving it on the whole night, running software tests on it, and it works perfectly... until I decide to soft-reboot the computer and it acts up again. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I had the same problems that the top poster, Startrail85, describes. I solved my problem and want to share my solution.
In brief: short circuiting from my aftermarket graphics card cooler touching one of the graphics card ram sinks was fixed by removing the ram sink.
In detail:
I too have a X48 motherboard. After solving the problem of being unable to boot the board at all with a Q9550 CPU and a BIOS version 7.0 everything was fine (by booting with a cheap CPU temporarily installed and flashing to BIOS V7.3). It would boot up first time, every time. This was so for about a month. Then I started to have the same problems that Startrail85 describes.
Sometimes turning the computer on in the morning would lead to multiple rebooting, mostly more than two reboots, without reaching the POST screen. Sometimes I would let it reboot many times and on perhaps the sixth or seventh time it would finally go through POST and into Windows. Once in Windows everything was fine. On rare occasions when turning the computer on in the morning it would boot first time. I could circumvent a multiple boot process by holding the power button done during one or two of the reboot cycles. On the third reboot, or thereabouts, it would boot OK, through to Windows. If I rebooted the computer after it had been on for some while it would reboot OK.
So the problem was frustrating and difficult to test for. I was developing more hate for MSI.
Thanks to Fontane's tip off that he or she had a "cold boot problem caused by my 9600GT" I removed my second graphics card which, by coincidence, is a 9600GT. The booting problem went away! That's a job only half done because I need the second graphics card in order to have three screens. So I was trying to come up with a hypothesis to test for: 9600GT and X48 simply cannot play nicely?; PCIe setting in the BIOS needs incorrect?; Faulty 9600GT?; New bios for the 9600GT?; Fundamentally flawed design in the 9600GT?
I was shifting the hate toward NVIDIA.
Holding the 9600GT in my hand while allowing different hypotheses to swirl I recalled a basic suggestion from these forums: make sure there is no short circuiting, that no pieces of metal are touching where they should not. Low and behold the aftermarket graphics card cooler that I installed myself, a Thermalright T-Rad^2, was touching one of the ram sinks (that come with the T-Rad^2 and you install).
I removed the RAM sink, reinstalled the 9600GT, and the boot problem is now gone and everything is fantastic. Everytime I power on it boots the first time. None of the double/fake booting that some have mentioned.
Now the hate is properly directed toward myself, the cause of the problem.

What is wrong with the MLB and NHL applications? ( I have a Roku2 in the house and they work fine there so it is not the providers.)

Yesterday, both the MLB and NHL apps stopped working. The NHL app loads and then does nothing. The MLB app tells me "Error loading xml." Both had been working fine until 4-8-15.
