I enter the username at my banking site and after I tab down to the password, it highlights the username box in red and tells me "Please enter the requested format" after I hit enter. '''bold text'''
It sounds like the site is using the new HTML5 Forms "pattern" attribute to ask Firefox to validate the form before submitting it; however, they may have used an incorrect pattern which is rejecting valid passwords.
You will need to contact your bank and ask them to fix this problem, so their site will work in new browsers like Firefox 4 that support HTML5 forms.
For more information about HTML5 form validation and the "pattern" attribute, see:

Firefox is automatically downloading ".php" files when I browse certain websites.
Without permission, it just simply downloads the files and prompts me to indicate the program I would like to open the file with.
I work for a school district and Firefox 4 was installed in 4 other computers and it did the same thing with all of them.
I then reverted to the previous version of Firefox and continued to have the same problem.
Please adviseHold down the shift key when you launch an app in Lion to "discard previous windows".

Cannot visit certain websites.
My problem is that I cannot visit certain websites (booksamillion.com, and any .edu pages). This happened suddenly. They do not work on either Safari or Firefox, however I can visit them on my Wii which is on the same wireless network as my Macbook. The error message that comes up tells me that Safari cannot find the server of those sites. I have no trouble visiting other sites.
I have repaired disk permissions, reset Safari, emptied the cache, deleted cookies, unplugged my router, checked my firewall, and now I'm begging for help.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.; <<>> DiG 9.4.3-P3 <<>> www.bookamillion.com +multiline +nocomments +nocmd +noquestion +nostats +search

Images not loading on my browser in Safari or Google Chrome or Firefox when I visit a website. How do I fix this?
Can you run EtreCheck and post the report here please?

Whenever i visit any website numerous advertisement pop up,even at the background of web page.
It is very difficult to navigate new pages of the site as multipe tabs of hidden links appear if I click on some genuine link? I am not understanding what is the problem?When you visit the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, I suggest clicking the "Installed on" column heading to group items by date. This can help surface bundle items that snuck on to you computer with something you actually wanted. I would not trust any of them and suggest removing all the ones you did not choose to install.
Note: if you find SearchProtect, make sure to remove that as it will make it difficult to choose your own Firefox settings. -
Just downloaded new Firefox version & when I open certain websites I get a message saying I'm attempting to open a tweet_box.html (which I am not, I'm just opening pages from my bookmarks), and do I want to open or save it. Multiple boxes open for each site (3-5). Not sure where to turn this off??
I noticed this after the 4.0.1 update. I also have people in my office reporting the problem on a multitude of computer systems all using 4.0.1. I've confirmed it's not any extensions while loading a fresh Windows 7 SP1 on a test box and loading 4.0.1. 4.0 doesn't appear to be having this issue. I tried changing the html (aspx) file to be opened with Firefox, it ended up opening 60 tabs and crashing the browser. However, I no longer get the popups after restoring my session. Though the tweet_button.html is not loading on the page correctly.

I changed one of my webpages, adding pictures with hyperlinks and text. When I preview the website and webpage the changes appear. I upload it with Muse's FTP uploader and everything goes smoothly. But when I visit the website, it displays the old version of the webpage.
I have the same issue.
Yes, I use a third party FTP client. I have cleared browser history and cache. Still shows up. I even DELETED the entire site and re-uploaded the new one with the same results. What am I missing? Why does the old page keep showing up? Tried 3 different browser apps and a different computer. -
When I load certain websites the the writing is all squashed up. I correct this by changing the character encoding setting. I am using the latest Apple Mac machine. Thanks in advance
Thanks for that information!
I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?! -

Same thing is happening to me. Adobe has not responded to anyone about this error. It appears that Abobe XI is not compatible with IE 11. I do not get this error when I use Chrome or Firefox. Only IE 11 does this. I have tried clearing cache and cookies. I even uninstalled and re-installed IE 11. It is still doing it. I am surprized that a company like Adobe would just ignore our posts and leave us hanging this this.
Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2. Then when you click on it the next error message says: PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time
Does anyone have a solution since Adobe will not respond?
As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI. Any ideas?
JimP08758It worked just fine for me.
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
* Clear the Cache and
* Remove Cookies '''''Warning ! ! '' This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.'''
Type '''about:preferences'''<Enter> in the address bar.
* '''Cookies;''' Select '''Privacy.''' Under '''History,''' select Firefox will '''Use Custom Settings.''' Press the button on the right side called '''Show Cookies.''' Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove '''All''' of them.
* '''Cache;''' Select '''Advanced > Network.''' Across from '''Cached Web Content,''' Press '''Clear Now.'''
If there is still a problem,
'''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Start Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web link}
While you are in safe mode;
Type '''about:preferences#advanced'''<Enter> in the address bar.
Under '''Advanced,''' Select '''General.'''
Look for and turn off '''Use Hardware Acceleration'''.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart. -
When I open certain apps it says my device's date is incorrect. But on my calendar and general settings, it's all correct!
Try changing the date - doesn't matter to what - just change it - go back to the app and I assume that you will get the same message. Go back to the settings and change the date and time to automatic again and see if the apps will work after that. Turn location services on in the settings as well.

when I move mouse on Firefox-History (it must show context menu) he just begins to think, and after ~20 seconds he looks like I haven't pressed any buttons! I tried to turn off all addons but it doesn't help. Also he "thinks" everytime when he gets new downloading and sometimes on pushing Bookmarks
Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

just installed PS 13 elements and loaded pictures into organizer. after using PS editor now organizer is not reloading. I keep getting error message saying organizer unexpectedly quit, do you want to reopen. When I click on it to reopen it doesn't and I get the same message again. I rebooted computer, still did it, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I am still getting the same error message. This is on Mac OS with yosemite. Any Ideas Please!!!
