When I write a birthday as (for example) 25.01.2005, it always shows 01/25/05. I don't want that! How can I change it?

When I write a birthday at NUMBERS as (for example) 25.01.2005, it always shows 01/25/05. I don't want that! How can I change it?

What are your settings in System Preferences > Language & Text > Region? Numbers uses your system setting as default.
