When im in photoshop drawing and i stop it starts drawing striaght lines
okay, When I go into photoshop to draw ill be drawing and then stop to do something like change the color, the size of the brush, what kind of brush, ect. and go back to drawing it doesn't free draw it just draws straight lines. I have another program where I edit videos and it lets me draw on there too but it doesn't do what photoshop does. I don't know if its just photoshop or what but it doesn't do it in any other program but photoshop. please help! thanks in advance!

It was now not accepting updates and not performing properly. This is why I went through this process of a reinstall. Can you please advise?
Without system info and other details nobody can know. If you haven't already, run the cleaner tool and try again. Anything more would require much more specific information.

My Ipod shuffle 3rd gen starts playing songs with some kind of interference until it stops playing, when I turn it off and on again it starts playing from the first song all over again, and once it sounded like the music was slowing down. First I thought it was the earphones, but I exchanged them for newer ones and so far its the same
You may want to do a Restore on the shuffle in iTunes. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Summary screen in iTunes. This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. If it's a software or data corruption glitch, the Restore should fix it. After the Restore, reload or resync your songs, and try it again. As a test, you may want to initially select a small number of songs to put back on the shuffle.

I am running Windows 8.1 on desktop. When I exit Photoshop Elements 12, I can not start program again unless I do a computer restart. How can I fix this?

Occasionally, the Welcome screen leaves a process running which prevents the second attempt to start the organizer or editor.
There is no fix but the workaround is to create shortcuts direct to the applications and use them each time.
Create shortcuts pointing to the following files:-
Organizer: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
Editor: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
Please let us know if they work.

Drawing small, short curves in Photoshop draws straight line between start and end points
I recently installed Windows 8 Professional, Photoshop and the latest Wacom Bamboo tablet drivers and have been experiencing this issue. I've turned off windows flicks and ink. This only happens in Photoshop with the brush tool and I can't seem to find a setting that this corresponds to.
Basically, when I draw small, short curves (particularly letters like 'c' and 'h'), when I lift up my pen, Photoshop automatically connects the end and start points together with a straight line ('c' almost becomes 'o' or 'a'). I'm not holding the shift or any modifier keys. I've tried googling this issue, but I have no idea how to phrase it properly to get any results.
Here's an image of what I'm talking about (the top was drawn with the pencil tool, the bottom with the brush tool which demonstrates the issue. I've highlighted the start and end points with red dots):

Why are colors faded when saving from Photoshop? And other weird things...
I'm working on a file that's a CMYK default US Web Coated SWOP v2 file. I've tried saving to tiff and jpg from this file and both save faded versions. See below:

And then another very bizarre thing... I saved it as a pdf to see how the colors would look and when viewing it in acrobat pro, I saw this:
....this is the same exact file as the other 2... Nothing was changed other than saving as pdf... Now I have 2 questions!

SarahIf you're not having you images printed professionally in publications why are you editing in CMYK. Displays and inkjet devices are RGB devices CMYK images need be converted when used on these devices. If in every step color management is used and all devices calibrated well colors should be quit consistent however color management is not always used and colors will be off when color management is not done. Photoshop is color managed is photoshop the only software you're using for your images. No Image viewers, no browsers, no document application etc.
Also when I save the above image you state is a jpeg Its save as an png file with some Display color profile. You need yo look into color management and what you useing as your color setting in Photoshop and hd.ow progile mismatches are handle.
In fact all three image are png file Color mode is RGB 8bit all have a display color profile all are different in sizes and at least one has different content. All are different yet you claim they are the same. -
Photoshop CS5 and CS6 does not start. Windows 7
I am using Photoshop CS5 as well as CS6, 64-bit on Windows 7. Since the last few days, I noticed that Photoshop would take a very long time to start (earlier it used to start within few seconds). Today, I found that both the Photoshop versions do not start at all. Nothing happens when I click the short-cut on the Task Bar. Neither do they start through the Start Menu. Why does this happen and what is the solution?
Have you tried using the task manager to see if Photoshop is hung and look at your windows reliability history to see if Photoshop CS5 an CS6 are crashing?

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, either get a sim card from the carrier your phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, because it appears that it was not officially unlocked. -
Im using a mtech hiface usb device for audio on my Mac Air. If i disconnect it from its ac and disconnect the hiface from the usb then take the Mac Air to a new location to work then return it I have an awful lot of static. im assuming its static electricity from the move or something. ive tried to ground it with my body by touching the mac air while touching something grounded. The static stops at that point but starts all over when i move my hand away from the computer. Any suggestions, could it be a setting in the USB? Thanks.
how long have you had your ipod? mine did the same but after a while you need to get a new one because of the battery...

Photoshop CC and CC2014 Crashing on start up
For both, I get the application screens and then a crash report. I tried the method of signing out of Creative Cloud and resigning back in to "reset" the applications but that seems to make no difference.

Youtube loading is sporadic and inefficient-stop, load, start is it mozilla or my computer?
not just youtube - i cannot load online video well - so the question is -
is it my computer or is it mozilla?yes we have most recent adobe update installed.
but we've had some issues with the internet connection - this is our vacation place- so it's dsl and our linksys seems to be having problems - will know more later this week when new linksys unit is installed.

Server 2012R2 looses vEthernet switches and cannot stop a starting Vm.
We have three 2012R2 Host Servers in a Failover Cluster, there are 14 Hyper-V VM’s in the cluster.
Yesterday Host3 went down because 3 network adapters disappeared. That left 2 servers (Host1 and Host2) active (that’s sufficient to run all the virtual servers). But for some reason all the virtual servers automatically
moved to only one host server. One server cannot support all the virtual servers. However this server tried to run all the virtual servers which made none of the servers active. It showed all the vm servers “starting” but never “running”. By rebooting the
host server that held the VM’s, all the VM’s automatically moved to the other good host server and the same thing happened.
So here are the 2 problems that happened:
On Host3 three network adapters disappeared. And could not be recovered without re-installing the operating system. These are needed for the VM’s to run.
The adapters are created when virtual switchs are created in Hyper-V. The 3 are vEthernet (LAN Virtual Switch), vEhternet (iSCSI2 Virtual Network), and vEthernet (iSCSI 2 Virtual Network)
There does not seem to be any way of turning off a VM when it is in the “Starting” state.Please post in the Hyper-V forum, this forum is for Virtual Server 2005.

Replace ~The with The and moved to the start of a line
I'm redoing an existing web site in ColdFusion and mysql that was originally created in php and mysql, so the database already exists. There is a table of titles which show in the database as "Church: The Figure of the Flock~The", though on the page are displayed as "The Church: The Figure of the Flock" this is so the title is ordered by Church and not The. So I need to strip out ~The and insert The at the start. I would appreciate it, if someone could point me in the right direction how to achieve this. The same applies to ~A. Thanks
You could use CF's list functions to split the string up treating the tilde character as the list's delimiter.
Here is a quick sample.
<cfset title="Church: The Figure of the Flock~The">
<cfset fixedTitle=ListLast(title, "~") & " " & ListFirst(title, "~")>
You might wrap this into a user defined function that checks for the existence of the tilde character in the title string. -
I have OS X 10.5.8 on my iMac, I'm trying to install Snow Leopard. When I insert the disk and click install it starts, but when its about 1/4 of the way done the computer restarts and my disk spits back out. When I look to see if it installed it still says 10.5.8. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
