Because you ordered later, your iPod touch will most probably be shipped in either the 3rd or the last week of October! You will get it soon, Definetly!

You don't need to register it if you do not want to. It will work fine.
I recommend you do register it though.

  • When is the ipod touch going to have a radio built into it, like the new ipod nano

I was wondering when the ipod touch will come out and have radio inbuilt into it like the new ipod nano. I used to have an ipod touch, lost it and got the nano and one of the best things about the nano was the FM radio! So I decided that I wouldn't buy an ipod touch until it had a radio because I listen to the radio more than my music... So I wanted to know how lond I would have to wait.

You have to type in the passcode. If you don't remember the passcode, read here. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

  • When can i preorder the ipod touch 5g? I have heard that it is released mid-september

I am looking at getting an ipod 4th generation for my birthday but have heard rumours that the new 5th generation will be out mid september! Just after my birthday! Does anyonebody know when, if or how i can preorder the ipod touch 5th generation? Or should i wait till christmas for the 4th generations price to lower or the for the 5th generation?

It is against the terms of use to ask about or speculate on any unannounced Apple product, yes. So since there has at this time been no 5th-generation iPod touch announced, yes, questions and speculation about it are not allowed

  • Is the ipod touch going to be 3g

is the ipod touch evergoing to be 3g

    To quote from Wikipedia:
3G stands for 3rd Generation. It is a term used to represent the 3rd generation of mobile telecommunications technology. This is a set of standards used for mobile devices and mobile telecommunication services and networks that comply with the International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000) specifications by the International Telecommunication Union.[1] 3Gfinds application in wireless voice telephony, mobile Internet access, Fixed Wireless Internet access, video calls and mobile TV.
In other words, it would have to be a phone.

  • Ipod touch not turning on. I just bought it.

Did I get a defective one? I am pressing the on/off button at the top for a few seconds.

    Try:
    - Try a new cable
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • The home buttun on my iPod touch 5 generation stopped working , i just bought from de U.S. Store and I'm from Mexico, and i have to use the warranty

    Help

Try calibrating it first.  Go to a stock Apple application (ex. Stocks), hold down the power button until "Slide to shut down" shows up, then hold down the home button until it all disappears.  You can use Assitive Touch in the Settings menu if nothing else works.

  • A few IMPORTANT observations about the iPod Touch (MUST READ)

While doing research on iPod Touch (to purchase for myself), I discovered the following review http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/review/apple-ipod-touch-8gb-16gb/P0
It is by far a VERY detailed review of the iPod Touch.
One thing that i had noticed before was that on the comparison page of the iPod's the 8GB iPod touch states it can hold up to 1750 songs, while the iPod Nano 8GB can hold 2000 songs. Which lead me to ask why.
    In the review, it says:
iPod nano 8GB = 7.41GB available free space
    iPhone 8GB = 7.24GB available free space
iPod Touch = 7.08GB available free space
Now i understand that the iPod Touch and iPhone use OSX and that uses a large chunk of space, but why is there 160mb missing? You'd think that the iPod Touch would have MORE available space than the iPhone, since a LOT of the applications are missing, as well as there is less hardware installed = less drivers.
Now I kind of agree with the reviewer when he says that the iPod Touch is a downgrade from the iPhone. Technically speaking the iPod touch is the most expensive and top of the line in the iPod family, yet it suffers a huge loss when compared to the iPhone.
The following things are missing from the iPod touch (at the cost of $100 less): Dock, charger, camera, external speaker, microphone, battery life, screen quality, resilient back casing, Bluetooth, and several applications!
Now someone might ask, Saeid just get an iPhone then. But the problem is that the iPhone is NOT available in Canada (officially) and IF one day it does become available, chances are it would be with a contract on Rogers (i'm on Fido).
I look forward to your views on the matter. Perhaps i AM over looking a few things. I am a HUGE fan of Apple, i ask because i usually look at EVERY single aspect of something before i make a purchase.
    Saeid.
P.s. Forgot to mention that in the review, it also states that the Sync (upload) time is much slower on the iPod Touch than the iPhone. The battery life one might argue is due to the fact that the Touch is smaller in size, but how would you explain the rest of the issues?

I am probably one of the few people on the planet who seldom uses a mobile phone. I have only a bare-bones phone plan. When I use a camera, I want one that takes high quality photos. At this point, I don't care that much about Bluetooth or a microphone.
I bought my Touch for the expanded music & video storage. I prefer flash memory to a hard drive so I didn't choose the iPod Classic. The Wi-fi is a bonus that works well for me. It would be nice if I had access to the Web all the time, but I don't want the ongoing monthly costs for an iPhone.
I've had my Touch for almost two months. It was an excellent choice for me. Chris Breen of Playlist revisits the Touch in his blog. Take a look at it for some good points: http://playlistmag.com/weblogs/ipodblog/index.php#61228

  • Where can I view a full list of games to buy for the iPod Touch?

When I go to the iPod Touch section of this web site and click on "Games and Apps", it only shows 16 games. I assume there are more than 16 games available for the iPod Touch, so where do I go to view a full list of games and buy the ones I want?
Also, do all of the games for the iPhone also work for the iPod Touch?

    Hello GAMESHARQ,
so where do I go to view a full list of games and buy the ones I want?
Through the iTunes Store, which can be accessed via iTunes. Just click on the App button at the top of the Store window to access the Apps section. From there, you can choose the Games category to narrow it down.
Also, do all of the games for the iPhone also work for the iPod Touch?
Depends on the game. You will have to check out the Requirements section of each Game or App to determine if its compatible with an iPod Touch and iPhone.

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Hope this helps. Good luck. Cheers.
