Ive been waiting almost a year for a better firmware for my zen touch. EAX controls and a bunch of others thing were being rummored around. Anyone know when if there is a new version comeiing out soon?

You do not need to move your cursor much when pressing the mouse button to cause the tab to tear-off/tear-away into a new tab. No "sensitivity" setting that I am aware of. The tab in the new window can be dragged back to the original window.

When opening the project at a new computer, the sound and picture doesn´t match

We are editing a documentary and when we open the project at a new computer the sound and clip doesn't match. We have noticed that the problem is that if we have a clip named 0001 on one SD card, it takes the sound from another SD card where the clip also is named 0001. Since we are working with a lot of material and this has happened on almost every one of them, its a huge problem, since we got no time to reimport and redo every clip. Thankful for your help.

My company holds a team license and we cannot share folders. When will this be addressed as oppose to working on behance and other add-ons when will the fundamentals be addressed?

We had the same issue with a catalogue client. We found a very simple and cost effective solution. Our Internet provider http://www.forttechnology.ca/ and Shawn setup OwnCloud for us. We have 1TB of storage and folder sync, we can provide access to all of the page files to the client with out having to pay for seats on a team.
We returned all of our CC for Teams to Adobe with refunds through our credit card company with a "failure to provide" clause the credit card company took care of Adobe's BS of paying 6 month bail out fees. We had to apply for single user accounts because Adobe can't down grade accounts from "team" to "single" user accounts. We saved enough money doing this that the reduction in price from Team to Single accounts it paid for the the OwnCloud Shawn setup for us and we still have a little left over for a case of beer every month, thanks for screwing up Adobe we would have kept paying for no service if it wasn't for Shawn at Fort Technology.
You don't have to wait for Adobe, the software is good and works well with third party cloud services, Adobe has a lot of growing up before they will ever get into the Cloud technology.
Don't let Adobe rob you, Adobe stealing for their own customer base and it will catch up with them sooner or later.

Controlling the appearance of a new browser window coming from a weblink

Hello all,
I have a weblink. When the end user clicks on the web link a new browser window opens up.
I would like to be able to control the appearance of the new browser window. I want to be able to hide url address bar, tool bar and all menus.
Is there a way to do this by editing the weblink in CRM OnDemand ?

Trish, if it is possible it would need to be in the URL and I think you'll need to do a google search to find out how you pass IE attributes into a URL.

when will apple allow us in Egypt to start using itunes the way it should be used as for now there is only the apps and podcasts and itunesu when will the music and movies and proper books be available to use and why has it taken them so long to do so

We are fellow users on here, until if/when Apple announce something nobody on here will know. Before Apple can sell content in a particular country they need the content providers to grant them a license to do so - why it hasn't so far happened I don't know.

Write behind cache, DB down, when should the system stop taking new data in

We are trying to use Coherence for our custom ESB, which is brokering payloads of various size between consumer and provider applications.
Before Coherence, stopping our DB meant organization-wide outage for critically important business services.
Since we have at least 40G of RAM in production environment, we believe that our app
can use Coherence write-behind option for tolerating at least several hours worth of DB outage.
We are currently using a near cache backed by distributed cache in write-behind mode.
9 business service JVMs (storage enabled=false) use 30 storage enabled JVMs.
IMPORTANT: We need to create an automated alerting facility determining when
amount of unsaved data reaches critical level since DB goes down. This alert should help us decide when our application stops accepting inbound traffic.
It is hard to use QueueSize parameter for that because our payload memory footprint can vary from 1KB to 3MB.
We do not expire any entries in order to enable support queries against the cache during DB outage.
Our experiments with trying various flavors of overflow-scheme resulted in OutOfMemoryError, therefore
we decided to implement RAM-only cache as a first step.

Good info ... I feel like I need to restate my original question along with a couple of new questions caused by the discussion above.
Q1. Does Coherence evict 'dirty', or 'queued', or 'unsaved' objects for cache configuration provided above?
The answer should be 'NO', otherwise Coherence is unsafe to use as a system of record,
it should not just drop unsaved information on the floor.
Q2. What happens to the front tier of the near+partitioned write behind cache described above when amount of unsaved data exceeds max cache capacity defined via high-units?
I would expect that map.put starts throwing exceptions: cache storage is full, so it should not accept more data
Q3. How can I determine a moment when amount of dirty data in bytes(!), not in objects, hits 85% of
max allowed cache capasity configured in bytes (using high-units param and BINARY calculator).
'DirtyUnits' counter can probably be built with some lower-level Coherence API. Can we use
this API?
Please, understand, that we purchased Coherence for reliability, for making our
system independent from short DB outages, for keeping our business services up
and running when DBA need some time for admin operations like rebuilding an index.
Performance benefits are secondary and are not as obvious for our system which
uses primary keys only and has a well-tuned co-located Oracle back-end.
We simply cannot put Coherence to production unless we prove that Coherence
can reliably hold the data and give us information about approaching crisis
(the cache full of unsaved data).

What need to be done for CDC when transfer the application server to new?

we have a BO DI server in window, an application server JDE, and data mart in sql server for universe data. We set up the triggle based CDC in DI. Therefore, we extract change data from application database (oracle) to CDC table, then tranform the data to the sql server database to feed the universe data. We are moving our application server (JDE) to a new server, new hardware...etc. We need to certify the CDC in the new server database, but not sure what need to be done in the CDC part. The data has to do a full refresh then we need to turn on our CDC to the new server, where we change the configeration? Does anyone has such experience before?

A word of warning when upgrade the RAM on a new Aluminium iMac

I was pleasantly surprised to find the new iMac's in the Trafford Centre Apple Store in Manchester, UK yesterday - only 24 hours after the announcement by Steve Jobs.
My credit card got the better of me and I bought a 24" 2.4Ghz model and took it home to set up. It comes with a single 1GB SO-DIMM, so I swapped another 1GB stick from my previous white model (ordered a 2GB stick online too).
The design of the RAM cover is of course different and now relies on a single central screw to hold it in place. Removing it to fit the DIMM was straightforward, but in replacing it, I managed to jam the screw and at the same time damage the head.
I'm VERY careful doing this sort of job and have done it many times before, but the screw damaged easily and it took a long time and a lot of effort to get it out - in the end we had the drill the head off. Fortunately managed only a couple of small scratches on the soft aluminium case, but need to find a new screw and it was rather stressful!
The purpose of this post is really just to warn people to be very careful if you are opening or closing the RAM cover - it was far too easy to damage it.
On the plus side the new machine is fantastic - very quick, looks gorgeous and I'm getting used to the new keyboard and starting to like it!

You cant, but fortunately, you havent written anything yet to the client, so you can just empty your retHTML string.
By the way, when you build strings dynamically, you should really use StringBuffer since this is less memory expensive.
Ah hang on, you do have a out.println. Then you cant empty it anymore. Only way to do it, is to parse a bit of javascript function that will start a new request e.g.
out.println("<script>location.href=/webapp/servlet/newRequest");

I love my white iPhone and iPad (and various iPod's)...it would be awesome to get my hands on a new white iMac. When will the MacBook Pro be updated (Quad core coming soon?)

Hey! Just a quick question. I've been hearing rumours everywhere that a quad core MacBook Pro is on the way. Apparently Apple Genius' are now being trained on new MacBook Pros and there's been other rumours floating around.
Just wanted to know if anyone had any extra information as I think the MacBook Pro's are so sexy and I really want one, but should I wait? Quad Core sounds good!

Sorry, but no one outside of Apple knows anything reliable about future product releases. Anything anyone here would post would be pure speculation which isn't allowed here (the Discussions are for technical support on existing products). Whether any rumors the various sites report have any validity, your guess will be as good as ours.
And just for future use, questions about the MacBook Pro will best be posted in the forum for that model rather than here in the iMac area.
