When installing After Effects I get an error U44M1l210

I have tried to install After Effects twice now. Every time I get the message that installation was successful, but patch failed. I uninstall, download and install again but the same error appears. Error U44M1l210
Please help!

Temporarily disable any firewalls and antivirus software and try to install again:
Start the system in Safe Boot mode (Mac OS)

I have received this error in the past and it is usually caused by Windows automatically changing your external drive letters when you install. There are two ways around it; first, follow the directions provided by b noir. Second, within iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced
Under the advanced options you'll see a recessed section called "iTunes Media folder location". Although you may have set this in the past it, if Windows changed your drive letters it will no longer be valid. Default is usually "C:\blah\blah\mymusic"
Changing it just a matter of clicking "change" and finding your music folder again or change your drive letter back (if it changed at all).
If Windows is changing your drive letters, it is best to set them yourself so that everytime you plug in the devices they use the letter you assigned. Here is a link for that process:

Error messages when installing After Effects

I'm receiving a number of error messages when my computer attempts to install After Effects after downloading it . . . . DW050, DW65, DF036, DW063, DF024. Any ideas what's going on here? (I'm getting the same error messages with Premier Elements and Fireworks and Audition as well.)

I installed After Effects, the trial, onto my pc which meets all the requirments, and I keep getting a runtime error. I have reinstalled windows, i have used several registry programs and still nothign. Please help!

Well, if you are so sure, then why don't you tell us in more detail what PC it actually is? If you have re-installed the operating system and all and AE still doesn't run, then most likely your PC does not meet the requirements or at least uses some strange hardware/ software combination that is not compatible with AE... What operating system? Processor? Graphics card? Other components?

Receiving the error Installation Failed when installing After Effects

I tried several times to download AE both through a trial of Creative Cloud and the "Download Now" button under the product. One time the download got to 99% and then abruptly quit. I'm on a Mac using OS 10.6. I have used PS, Illustrator and Indesign rather heavily for several years but have never tried AE. I wanted to try it and also the Creative Cloud at the same time.
It doesn't look very promising to me. Hope you get yours working.

I have branched this out to a new discussion. I would recommend you start with downloading and attempting the installation of the trial of After Effects. You can locate the trial at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=after_effects. If you are able to successfully install the software then please choose the option to License this Software after it is installed as a trial. You will then want to enter your Adobe ID tied to your Creative Cloud subscription.
If you continue to experience difficulties then you will want to utilize the Adobe Support Advisor - http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to automatically review your installation logs. When will After Effects CS6 get a retina update?

I know there are people saying that After Effects works "fine" with retina, but they must not be as picky as me. After Effects is not at all fully compatible, at all. It's not even usable for me. The content viewer does not support retina resolution and is stretched to roughly twice the size that it should be. It's using Apple's percieved resolution and not actual resolution.
This makes the program completely unusable for me as it doesn't accurately represent what is being rendered.
When where there be a fix for this canvas problem?

I hate to throw water on your fire but AE is accurately displaying what would be seen for it's interpolated screen resolution with a retina display even with custom views, Photoshop, on the other hand, is showing you Actual Pixels so the image seems to be 1/2 the size as it would be displayed on a Retina display. I'd rather they fix Photoshop because it's way too hard to make pixel critical judgements in Photoshop at 100% scale than it is in AE on a Retina display.
I'd rather see how it would look on the display than the actual pixels because the pixel density is so high on a retina display that it's nearly impossible, without a magnifying glass, to see if you have artifacts in the edges. The image size of an element in your Comp on a retina display will be the same size as it is on a non retina display computer with the same apparent resolution. IOW a HD comp at 50% on a 15" Dell laptop will be the same size as a HD comp at 50% on a 15" MacBook Pro R.
This is why some web graphics look soft on a Retina display, They are scaled up approximately 200% when the website is not properly styled for high resolution displays.
The same things goes for movies played on a Retina displaya. You're not seeing actual pixels, you're seeing a denser pixel pattern which does give you a slightly better image. That's all I'm going to say about it.

Whenever I try to open After Effects I get the message "You can't use this version of the application "Adobe After Effects CC" with this version of OS X?

All of my other programs will open in Creative Cloud but whenever I try After Effects I get that error messaged. I have everything updated and I have tried uninstalling and installing again but I still get the same error message.

Mavericks broke some things.
You need the latest update to CC which is 12.2.1.5 (although they're releasing another update later this month).
Although, technically you don't need the latest update as the 12.0.1 update made AE work with Mavericks

I got the same Probs on C++ 2008 but i have reinstall it so i got no problems there but on C++ 2010 i cant reinstall it when i try it he say me that i dont have more C++ 2010 on my Computer and i must install a new version so i install it but when i install a new version he say me "error during installation" :on your computer, there is a new version...

when i open my System Panel > programs and functions THERE is no Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 NOTHING from this i just have 2005 2007 and 2008 and there works !

When I try to start After Effects it get this message

I've uninstalled After Effects and did a fresh install. But when I install it I get install done but with errors!
What is going on? I've never had this happen before so I don't know if anyone has experienced this before.
but some background info and what I did before this happend. I installed some fonts from another PC and brought
a project I was working on from another PC to hopefully continue working on my Computer but when I tried to open the file
I ended up with After Effects crashing.
