When installing new BI Content. 3.x DataFlow vs. 7.x DataFlow Objects.

I am working on a new BI 7.0 implementation (BI 7.0 SP 15, BI CONT Add on 3) and I am trying to install and setup the 0PUR_C01 InfoCube and associated data flow from BI content. When I brought over 0PUR_C01 InfoCube from BI Content and installed 0PUR_C01 and objects prior in data flow, it installed the 3.x DataFlow objects rather than the 7.x DataFlow objects. If working on a new implementation, is it best to first install the 3.x data flow objects from BI Content and then convert to 7.x or just install the 7.x objects directly first?
The 0PUR_C01 InfoCube is populated via the 2LIS_02_ITM and 2LIS_02_SCL DataSources. In BI content for these two DataSources, I see the following 7.x objects: Transformation from DataSource to InfoSource and the 7.x InfoSource, but I don't see a Transformation from the 7.x InfoSource to the 0PUR_C01 InfoCube and I don't see a transformation from the datasource(s) directly to the 0PUR_C01 InfoCube.
Any guidance or links on how this is to be handled would be greatly appreciated.

I am working on new implementation of 0pur_c01 cube . But according to our requirement ,supposed to use 2lis_02_itm datasource only . I installed it in ECC and replicated to BW. I am confused when I am trying to install 0pur_c01 as few are in 3.x and few in 7.0. So this is what I did-
Created my own info packages for init and delta loads.
Installed Info source :Purchasing Data (Document Item Level) as of 2.0B and transformation RSDS 2LIS_02_ITM E4ACLNT000 -> TRCS 2LIS_02_ITM.
Till this part everything is ok.But acc to user req they need DSO and cube .So, I installed 0PUR_O01and created my own transformation b/w infosource and DSO. (many field mappings are missing). Then I installed 0PUR_C01 and created my own transformation b/w DSO and Infocube .(many field mapping are missing mostly keyfigures ). Now remodelling the cube and DSO with missing fields and manually doing 1-1 mapping in transformations.
I was wondering if this approach is right. Because in standard Update rules I have seen some routes for keyfigure values. So ,by creating own transformation I will be missing those calculation or routes ...Please clarify..if my approach is right ...or if we have any better approach which suites my requirement.

Error 2324 when installing new version

Got the following error when installing new version.
The installer has encountered an unexpected error. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2324
Also Tried to uninstall after this so I could install from scratch but that failed too. Now, iTunes is in a complete mess where I cannot use, uninstall or install.
No idea what to do now.

Prompting of Administrator Password When Installing New Software.

I recently installed some software onto my Mac but I was not prompted to enter my administrator username and password as is usually the case (or so I thought).
Does anybody have any ideas as to why an administrator password is not always required when installing new software? The reason I ask is that I thought that this was one of the protections offered by the Mac to prevent unknown installations of Malware etc.

No password will ever be requested when you simply use drag and drop to install an application in the Applications folder. This is because you are a member of the admin group, and the admin group has authorized access to the Applications folder.
Nothing should install without your knowledge. If you are concerned about viruses and the like, then that's a different matter altogether from the question you asked. See this:

Administrator error message when installing new software

Hi~
I am working with an ibook on OS X.2.8. I gave this computer to my dad when I got a new one and set up an account for each of us, both with administrator priviledges. I just tried to install new software and it keeps telling me that I don't have permission to install software on the default location of macintsoh HD and to check with the administrator... even though I am the administrator. It didn't offer me an opportunity to enter a password or to install the software in an alternate location. I tried installing a different program to see if it was a problem specific to this application and found the same difficulty. I tried both accounts and this happened in both. Then I tried setting up a new account as an administrator and this didn't work either. Then I delelted all accounts except for my dad's account. I've checked the permissions in system prferences mutliple times. Nothing works. Any ideas? I would appreciate any help as this is very frustrating and this computer will soon be useless if we are unable to install updates or new software.

I've checked the permissions in system prferences mutliple times.
You nreed to repair them in Disk Utility, then reboot, but I'd make second admin account again for safety.
Let's see where we are after that.

"Extraction Failed: Cannot Open Output File" error message when installing new drivers

Hello, I'm trying to install new drivers for my HP Photosmart C4385 Printer. I downloaded the full feature drivers for Windows XP 32-bit, and when I start to install (extract), I get the error message:
Extraction Failed
Cannot Open Output File
And the process closes. It happens at about 85% extraction every time.
Any idea why? I called HP but since it is out of warranty they wanted money, which I think as absolutely ridiculous - won't even give me basic support?? Poor, poor customer service.

If you haven't still got the Full Feature software installer, download it from the link below and save it to your Desktop. If you already have it, place it on your Desktop.

Make sure the Printer is disconnected from your PC.
Download and install 7-ZIP. Once installed, right click on the software installer for your printer, select 7-Zip and choose extract files, then click Ok.
Open the newly extracted folder and double click the setup application to start the installation ( the setup application will probably have the same icon as the original software installer you downloaded ). Connect the printer to your PC when the software asks.

Error when installing the business content (update rules)

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to install the Business Content for Plant Maintenance. When trying to install the update rules UPDR BN10TVY8N84KARHU2FLSSYL56, I was able to see the update rules in the collected objects. But, when trying to install, it throws an error saying that the update rules is not found.
Could you please help me in resolving the issue and install the update rules successfully.

You should install corresponding neccessary object with it, like update rule data target, and connected infosources also.
infosource -> update rules -> data target
Cross check you have infosoure, and data target installed or not, and if not install all these together.
You can also use grouping option as install all neccesary options. It will collect all neccessary objects.

Office 365 error 259-4 when installing newer Project on top of older ProPlus

- Then I try to install Project from Office 365, but using the newer version 15.0.4659.1001

When following the activity using Procmon I don't see any error for the HKLM key said in the log.
Usually when installing again Project, it works and corrects all ProPlus..
But this is very annoying as I would like to deploy ProPlus and Project independently using a deployment tool like SCCM.
In this case, I was testing a machine where ProPlus was installed in an older version, never updated for any reason, and then my tool trying to install Project but in the newer version....

After installing Project again, what's the version number of your Office 365 ProPlus? Also, try to repair existing Office 365 ProPlus and then install Project again, see if issue persists.
What if you update your Office 365 ProPlus to the same version as your Project build first, then deploy Project upon it?
Trying to figure out if the issue was caused due to the version mismatch.

Error when installing issue in Content Viewer

Hi,
I have a strange error in my Content Viewer.
When downloading it stalls and a message says "Could not install issue, relaunch app and download your purchase again" (my translation from swedish).
It sometimes stalls when downloading and sometimes when installing issue.
Anyone got a solution or having the same problem?

Henrik, this can be either or. The internal Acrobat.com servers seem to have download issues once a week or so.
The best way I think you can determine this is if the download is failing at the same point during the download. If it is, it's a problem with the folio. If it's not, then it's a temporary problems with the servers.
If it is a problem with the folio, there's no straightforward answer -- but if you were able to download that folio recently, delete or update the articles you've added since.
If you have no idea what's causing it, you can either start deleting articles, or try updating them first.

HT1926 When Installing new version error is quicktime cannot uninstall old version

When trying to install new version of Quicktime, I get a error message that quicktime cannot uninstall old version. This also affects Itunes to work. Get Message Itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. I think not having quicktime working affects my Itunes from launching.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATION" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up").
In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC. Now try another QuickTime install. Does it go through properly this time?

Problem when installing new themes in my NOKIA N73

I instal new themes in the memory card of my N73, after time i formated the memory card without (sans in french) deinstaling the thems from the phone, .. they dont appears in my liste of theme.. when i want to reinstal them, the installation dont finished and i have a error message "INSTALATION IMPOSSIBLE!" and in MENU->TOOLS->APPLICATION MANAGER in the journal the themes appears that they are installed, so help me please. () i know that my english is very poor but ......

Here we go again, using the search will have helped but here is how to re-install themes that have already been installed and deleted and can't be installed again or themes that are not showing after being installed.
THIS ONLY WORKS IF INSTALLING ON THE MEMORY CARD
A ) Download Unsis for 3rd Edition HERE

B ) You'll need the usb cable for connecting phone to pc
1. Install unsis to your PC and open it
2. choose "Open SIS" on bottom left
3. choose the theme you want to reinstall
4. click on "Extract"
5. after a few seconds (sometimes more ) it'll be "Completed"
6. you can now close the program
7. go into the PC installation folder (usually C:/Unsis)
8. there should be a folder called "Temp"
9. inside you should find "private"-> "10207114"-> "import"-> "some folders (just one ifyou extracted just one theme) with different names (numbers and letters in most cases)"
10. go inside the folders and search for the one of the theme you are interested in, there'll be 4 files:
a ) NameOfTheFolder.ini
b ) NameOfTheTheme.mbm
c ) NameOfTheTheme.mif
d ) NameOfTheTheme.skn
11. ok? now, leave this folder open and connect phone to pc using the usb cable
12. choose "Mass storage" option. Note: you can also insert memory card into a memory card reader
13. in your phone, find the folder called "private" . If you don't see it, you need to choose the visualization of hidden files and folders
14. in the "private" folder, find "10207114" folder and then "import" folder
15. in "import" there are your themes, here you should find the themes you installed into the memory card
16. don't close this folder but come back to the folder where you extracted the theme with unsis
17. just click "back" so you can see your folder selected into the "import" folder
18. choose all the folder and select "copy"
19. go back to the "import" folder in the phone's memory card
20. right click and "paste" into the "import" folder
21. here we are, now your theme is again in the memory card

Error 322 when installing new router

I encounter this error when installing my new router. It says that my new router is not detected or something. Actually, after step 4, its says : New router or gateway not detected.

Hey first of all try resetting the router reset button in such a way that power
light is blinking on the router & then do a complete network power
cycle i.e., unplug the power cables from the modem & from the router &
then plug in the power cable to the modem first once all the lights are
solid green you could plug in the power cable to the router & check out
it will definately work!!

Logic Pro 9.1.7 shuts down when installing the basic content

I downloaded Logic Pro 9.1.7. from the Mac App Store 3 days ago and it still doesn't work. It is always downloading the basic content (2GB), but when it is finished downloading and starts installing, Logic Pro shuts down without any warning or anything and when I try to open it, it starts downloading the basic content again. What can I do, to install the basic content?

Well, I don't have the plugins so I don't have the issue, but it sounds to me like you should contact the alliance... seems like the plugins are the problem, not the DAW.

when installing oracle10g enterprise edition for win32, I am recieving the following read errors. I have tried downloading the installation file several times, and even saving/installing oracle to different drives, but the same error always appears. I have successfully installed oracleXE on this machine (it is still installed). is there a work around for this? this did not appear to be a known error-

Problem with report generation toolkit when installed new office 2010

Dear all, I had LabView 8.6.1 and report generation toolkit for MSoffice 2003 perfectly working in my laptop.
Now I have added MSoffice 2010 and report generation toolkit does not work anymore since it is linked to new office.
How can I inform Labview to link report generation toolkit to the old MSoffice 2003?

The Report Generation Toolkit is ActiveX based. When you install the newest version of Office it registers the ActiveX server for that software, which the toolkit adapts to and uses.
Uninstalling Office 2010 would solve the issue, otherwise you will need to look at unregistering the 2010 component of Office ActiveX - but I'm not sure if that's possible.
