If you mean you are opening jpeg files that have already been edited in camera raw, that is normal.
Otherwise, that's very strange. There are many users who would like to be able to open in camera raw by default or from the Organizer and complain not to be able to do so!

ITunes 10 How do I get rid of the "Album by Artist" column?
Okay, I don't like the looks of iTunes 10 in general, but I can get used to it. The font was so small, I found where to kick it up to "large" but I can't figure out how to get rid of that first horrible column "Album by Artist" and the column next to it with a number in it that I have absolutely no idea what it's for. I want those two columns OUT. I can make them smaller, but I can't move them or delete them.
Select *List view* instead of *Album list view*. These are in the View menu or the boxes next to Search, on the right top of iTunes.

In List view, you can turn off every column (in menu View > View options) except track name. -

If you are referring to Norton's, you will need to use their uninstaller or you will not be able to get rid of it completely. Since I don't know which version you have, here is the search result page (uninstall Norton for Mac) on their website:

thanks in advance for your helpTry a soft-reset and see if the duplicates still show after the iPad has restarted (a couple of times I've had it happen to me when moving an app whilst it is downloading, and the soft-reset has fixed it) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

When I look at the iTunes music folder in Windows Explorer, it shows as 28.0 GB. In the iTunes library, it says my music is 18.3 GB. I would like to get my 10 gigs back.
I've tried to add the media folder to my library - it just duplicated maybe 10 songs, didn't add any new ones. This suggests that there isn't any extra music in the folder. So why is it 10 GB larger? How can I get rid of the extra non-music data?Apparently there are some mp3 files that aren't adding despite importing the folder...
That is actually a very common problem, due to iTunes being strict/finicky/incompetent (pick your own interpretation) about slight variations in MP3 formats. The problem can usually be corrected by treating the files with a 3rd party tag cleanup program, such as MP3 Validator.
i don't know how much of the missing 9.7 GB this will apply to, but definitely worth a try. -

The cloud icon means that the songs are only in the cloud, they aren't stored on your iPad. You can turn off the showing of songs that are in the cloud via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under the 'show all' heading) 'off'. How do I get rid of the extra table of contents that appears following the Pages export to epub?
When I export my document to epub out of Pages and then open it in ibooks (or any other ereader for that matter) an extra table of contents with links to the document sections appears at the beginning. This toc has its own numbering system--with its numbers set in front of those I have assigned. This toc is ugly and superfluous and doesn't seem to have anything to do with the table of contents available in the dropdown menu used while actually reading the document. How do I get rid of this extra table of contents? I'm sure I must be missing something obvious, but I can't find a way to remove it. Thanks for any help with this problem.
