When is Adobe going to fix Air Microphone Echo Problem?

This issue has been reported long time ago, however not addressed. Version 14 is just released however echo problem is not even mentioned. Please fix Adobe.

Hello,
I am having the same problem as a lot of other users seem to have: my imessage and facetime applications are not accepting my password. I found a way to (temporarily) fix this via deletion of the host file. Since then facetime works, my imessage worked for about a week and since then it's asking for password, about every 5 minutes. About an hour ago it stopped accepting my password and is stuck doing whatever- btw: It works on my iPhone 5. Now I could waste another 2 to 3 hours to find a way to fix it, try another way if the first one won't work and so on. But I don't want to. I spent A LOT of money on my MBP and my iPhone 5. I was promised an "integrated system" where "everything just works". It stopped working a long time ago and thing about these applications is that they are integrated. They are system apps and searching through different forums will show you that a lot of people have a common problem regarding IM and FT.
So when is Apple finally going to fix this???

You are probably already aware of the FaceTime, Games Centre and Messages Trouble Shooting document as item 5 is about the Hosts file.
There is the one about the ports FaceTime and iMessages use regarding iPhones. (that is to say it was written from iPhones before the Mac version of Messages was released.)
Despite the number of posts on the subject making it look like a substantial problem the numbers are actually quite small compared to the number of Mountain Lion Installs.
As Apple never say when they are going to change something it will be impossible say if and when they might fix this for the ones having the issue.

When is Adobe going to fix Warp Stabilizer?

I asked this question back in February but I only got one reply. Warp Stabilizer may provide decent footage stabilization, but it is incredibly poorly coded, especially when compared to Mercalli Pro, or the Edius 7 Pro stabilizer, which I believe is a lite version of Mercalli Pro. One would think that since it was introduced at least 3 years ago (I can't remember if the first version it came with was CS6 or a previous one), Adobe would have troubleshot it and fixed its terrible performance. I mean, we're not talking about a stabilizer that is half as slow as Mercalli Pro. Warp Stabilizer is 14.5 times slower than Mercalli Pro. These are times for one minute of footage, the same footage in both NLEs:
Edius Pro 7 Stabilizer: 29 seconds
Premiere Pro Warp Stabilizer normal analysis and solving: 12 minutes 16 seconds
Warp Stabilizer detailed analysis and solving: 14 minutes 28 seconds
This is on a six core i7 3930k CPU with 32 GB of RAM and two GTX770 cards with 4 GB each (even though WP doesn't use the graphics card for analyzing and solving, only for playback)
And the terrible analyzing and solving times are not the only problem. If you decide to run WP on a long clip, say 13 minutes long, even after the two hours that it takes to analyze and solve, the next time you open that project, be prepared to not be able to use Premiere for who knows how long. I say who knows because about 30 minutes ago I opened Premiere, loaded the project, and it froze completely when it was loading the footage files. For the last half hour, Premiere has been stuck with the spinning circle mouse pointer. Task Manager shows that Premiere has zero CPU usage and about 3 GB of RAM usage. So it's doing nothing at all, just frozen because Warp Stabilizer is one of the worst coded pieces of software not only from Adobe, but from any company.
Putting aside the terrible analyzing and solving times, and the eternal wait next time you load the project, there's the fact that as soon as you use WP on a few clips, or on one long clip, saving times are unbearably slow.
So I'm just asking, what makes a company with the huge resources Adobe has, not only launch a plugin that performs so terrible, but also doing nothing to fix it for three years or more?

In this case, yes, I have a 13 minute long take that I have to stabilize. However, the original footage clip is a few minutes longer, so I'm not trying to stabilize the full clip, only most of it.
I could spend a lot of money on the plugin, but I usually don't have a lot of footage that needs stabilization. Besides, I already have the plugin that came bundled with Edius 6, so I just use that when I need to. However, since Adobe advertises Warp Stabilizer as part of Premiere, and the plugin is absolutely dreadful, it seems to me that it's false advertising. I would much rather use WP in my Premiere project rather than having to load the footage in Edius and then export to a gigantic file to avoid losing picture quality.
As for drive space, I have two 3 TB very fast hard drives that have plenty of empty space. Besides, Mercalli Pro in Edius analyses and solves this long clip in about ten minutes, as opposed to the over two hours WP needs for the same clip. In fact, in Premiere I only applied WP to part of the clip, when in Edius I loaded the original AVCHD clip so I can just do a replace in Premiere and have the same ins and outs.

When is Adobe going to fix the problem of updating Creative Cloud

Since September last year, updating Creative Cloud has been a problem.
Every time I try to update I receive a failure message. The "temporary" solution last September was to rename the Creative Cloud folder and try again.
This problem still exists, and requires a permanent fix.

When is Adobe going to fix the problem CS6 Premiere Pro has with AVCHD files?

First they wanted me to reformat all my files from .mts to .mpg thru format factory, but that is to much time wasted and lose of quality! Then they directed me to a patch by Sony, but that didn't work either. They need to fix this!

When is Apple going to fix the problem with slow Time Machine backups with Mavericks?

I have been with Apple tech support and they got my Time Machine working by doing a spotlight re-indexing and a safe boot. This worked for about three days and I am back to very slow backups. It is impossible for Time Machine to back up every hour when it takes six hours to do the back up. I don't want to take hours to re-index with spotlight all the time. I think taking six hours to do an incremental backup is a bit much. I see that there are many people that have this trouble and it all started with an upgrade to Mavericks. The question is when is Apple going to fix this problem of slow backups with Time Machine for Mavericks. I have wasted more time than I care to. I am think of going back to Windows. I need good solid backups of my machine and Apple has taken it away with the new Mavericks. Oh, I am using the UBS 3.0 connection so the drive should not be the problem. Also this has occurred in about the last five months, so I am not sure this problem was in the original Marvericks.

Allen Thanks for your reply. All I can say is several months ago Time Machine quit working in a reasonable manner. Right now I have a Time Machine backup that has been running all night and still has three hours to go to backup 6 GB of data. I am using a OWC 1.5 TB drive connected directly to my MacBook with a USB 3.0 connection. In the resent past I have added Dropbox, GoogleDrive and a MAMP server on which I am using a program called Learning With Text from Sourceforge. There have been a lot of questions on the forum about people having very slow Time Machine back ups, so it appears to be a general problem. I should also state I am getting this very slow backup after doing the Spotlight re-indexing and the Safe Restart procedure that was told to me by apple support. I have a 750 GB drive in my MacBook Pro which I am constantly trying to keep at a 5% level of free space. This might be a problem also. However, I am working on a lot of things and like to have a lot of things on my drive. Also the heavily loaded drive has not be a problem in the past. This slow backup business started about three months ago, so something has happen in a very short time period. Now it seems even the procedure that Apple support gave me is not working. Currently I am in China and it is difficult to interact with Apple support to solve this problem, but because I am in China having my computer backed up is critical. I have run the EtreCheck and am attaching the results below. I would appreciate any suggestions. If necessary I will clear out more of my hard drive if that appears to be a solution. The Time Machine drive was recently reformed so I only have a few backups on it. I also don't run the Time Machine all the time as I don't want multi-hour backups running all the time. When are Adobe going to make it easier to deploy flash player to the enterprise????

I've been deploying flash player for well over 5 years now and in that time the deployment has only got very marginally better.
Why do they continue to allow installs just to fail when the control is in use??? I've written vbscripts to kill the handle to the ocx activex file, rename the ocx to .old which allows the installax.exe install utility to complete without errors. When Internet explorer next relaunches it uses the new control and the old one can be deleted. Why can't they incorporate this kind of logic into their installs?
Why do Adobe insist on using rubbish exe routines inside msi's that are perfectly capable of installing applications and don't just bomb out at the first sign of a difficulty? Using custom installer routines inside msi's makes it very difficult for people who have more than adequate repackaging and software deployment experience to be able to customise and get around the difficulties that Adobe forces upon us.
When are Adobe going to realise that the way they are releasing updates for flash player is costing companies a lot of money in company's helpdesk and systems team's time spent supporting and troubleshooting their buggy installs? At best I've only experienced a 95% success rate with flash player deployments. Some people might say "what am I complaining about?" and "that's to be expected". This has only been the case with weeks of work to fix the flaws in the flash player install routines. However 5% failure on 4000 machines is 200 possible help desk calls and 200 people not able to use various applications, view web content etc. Before we invested the time in scripting to get around the installer flaws the success rate was closer to 75%, that's 1000 out of 4000 that were failing. Does anyone think that's acceptable considering how widely it's used?
What has Adobe got planned for enabling large businesses to manage the deployment of flash player better? They've done it with other products why can't they do it with flash player?
For software deployment teams this is a constant and ever present headache.

It's ridiculous cause most website use Flash Player and none of them work on my LG 650v Smart TV.

This is a nightmare.
I wish I never did the upgrade.
It's horrible that Apple released an OSX update that doesn't work with some of the most used Apple applications.
I don't know what I should do.
Compressor doesn't work, export using Quicktime is having problems...and that's just what I've found so far.
When is Apple going to fix this mess?

Did you heed ANY of the warnings that were posted here, on LAFCPUG.org, or the CreativeCow.net? We gave many pointers on what to do before you upgrade, so that if you do run into issues with the new (and you WILL run into issues with the new OS) you could always go back to the stable version.

Apple will fix it when they fix it...that's all we can say. Keep sending in your issues and when they can, they will issue updates.
The rule of thumb is that if you have a good working edit system, don't mess with it. The machine that I use to earn a living, that is still on 10.4.9 and FCP 5.1.4. My laptop, that I use occasionally for editing, but mainly for e-mail, word processing, web surfing, that I updated. And I am testing FCP on this. So far, I am not suffering any issues.
If you backed up your system, you could have gone back to it.

I've read some threads on how to stop the screen saver from changing back from settings that the user applies and none of them seem to work. So, When is Apple going to fix this problem?

These are mostly user to user discussions, so we don't know.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
