Apple will announce when they are available. With the 4S, it was about a month after the initial release in the US. Because you can not take a CDMA phone from one carrier to another, and because there is only one supported GSM carrier in the US, purchasers of unlocked phones are an extreme minority in the US. The initial shipments will be allocated to meeting demand for locked phones first.

They admitted mobile flash is a disaster and are jumping on the HTML 5 bandwagon.

i searched in the UK store and the Australian store and the option for the unlocked iPhone 6 is available but the devices itself is not yet but the taxes are much higher and the phone is much more expensive from the U.S store

No one knows that at this point. In the recent past, the unlocked iPhones started out as only available in the retail Apple stores and not by on-line order. When they will be available or how has not been announced so far.
Keep in mind that purchasing an iPhone in another country is not a great idea since the warranty is only valid in the country of sale so if anything would go wrong there would be no service or support in another country.

When will Apple South Africa start selling newly launched Apple products and not out dated products?

All the Apple stores as wll as the istores in South Africa always only start to sell new lines a year or two after the lines were launched. I always have to inport all my Apple products as it is never for sale in my country.
It defnetly give Apple a bad name in Africa and that is why Apple is looked down to here in Africa. Android, p.c and linex is strong here because its afalable as soon as it enter the market but by the time we can buy the Apple product android have newer apps ect.

I searched the apple store and there are no armbands or cases for the new ipod nano 7th generation…whats ups! I want to protect my new ipod nano and have a fitness band to use it for working out.

This is also my gripe Lacygirl. The ones available on other sites have horrendous reviews. My biggest concern is, will the Nike Fitness work while using an armband? The manual suggests using it at your waist with Nike Fitness. Duh, what runner prefers that?

I signed up for the iPhone Developer Program almost as soon as one could sign up for it. I was one of the unlucky many who got the "you are not important enough to let into the Developer Program" e-mail. That was months ago when the rumor was that they would be opening it up around the time of the WWDC. Well, it is now WWDC time. Is there any more info on this?
Why don't I use the iPhone Simulator? The iPhone Simulator does not simulate the accelerometer very well (i.e., it does not simulate it at all) and the accelerometer is important for my app. I can't even tell if my app is feasible without running some test code so that I can get a real world sense of how well the accelerometer works.
Between this and the significant issues that I am having with my MBP and Apple's lack of response, I am starting to feel that I picked a bad time to start doing Apple development.

Excuse me, but Apple clearly has decided that some application developers are more important than others. The App Store is opening up next month and I don't think they will be selling apps that haven't been QA'ed on real devices. Oh, I get it. All of the big name mobile software vendors that Apple wants to display in their App Store just happened to get randomly selected.
"Apple has no way of knowing who has real apps ..." Well, I told them that I did. I even told them that it uses the accelerometers, so the simulator wouldn't help.
You note that Apple says that there are 21k developers in a holding pattern. What is it about the iPhone Developer Program that stops Apple from just taking people's money and issuing them cookies (or whatever) that allows the downloaded SDK to load apps on real devices? Inviting people over to your house to install your app on their iPhone/iPod touch is not a very good distribution model; the App Store is needed for distribution. The limiting factor is the gatekeeper for the App Store, not a SDK that can run code on real devices. So, why don't they freely distribute a SDK that can run code on real devices?
After telling the world "look, a SDK for the iPhone" months ago, why can't Apple even give a date to 21k people who took the time to sign up for the Program when they might be able to run their apps on real hardware?
I want to do things the right way (through Apple's SDK) and I really don't like the idea of jailbreaking, but right now that seems like the only option that I have to proceed with my app development.

I updated to iTunes 10.5 on Vista. As with iTunes 10.0, The DEP will not allow iTunes to open. WHEN IS APPLE GOING TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE? I can't update my telephone or iPod. I can't even open the iTunes program!!!

I am sick of dealing with this issue. I wish not that I had never even started using any Apple products, beginning with iTunes. WHEN IS APPLE GOING TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE AND MAKE ITUNES SOMEHOW COMPATIBLE WITH DEP IN WINDOWS VISTA?
That being said, Is there any way to resolve this? What I did in the past is completely wipe ALL Apple files from my computer, and install an older version of iTunes. It was at least functional. It seems that any version of iTunes 10.0 or more recent is not compatible with the Data Execution Prevention in Windows. You can not remove iTunes from DEP, yet DEP prevents iTunes from running.
The down side is that I can't get the latest updates for my iPhone or iPod. Now, I have a new phone for my husband that needs syncing on my iTunes, and I can't do that because iTunes won't even open.

OK, lets do a complete overhaul to make sure it's working ok.
First to check your Windows system file for any corruption:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
type in
sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
Restart the computer.
Start iTunes and see if it is ok.
If it doesn't, will have to go through the whole process of uninstalling and installing acccording to the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

Try some basic troubleshooting steps. Clear Safari, force close the app and reset the iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
In order to close apps in iOS 8, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

When is Apple going to fix the problem with slow Time Machine backups with Mavericks?

I have been with Apple tech support and they got my Time Machine working by doing a spotlight re-indexing and a safe boot. This worked for about three days and I am back to very slow backups. It is impossible for Time Machine to back up every hour when it takes six hours to do the back up. I don't want to take hours to re-index with spotlight all the time. I think taking six hours to do an incremental backup is a bit much. I see that there are many people that have this trouble and it all started with an upgrade to Mavericks. The question is when is Apple going to fix this problem of slow backups with Time Machine for Mavericks. I have wasted more time than I care to. I am think of going back to Windows. I need good solid backups of my machine and Apple has taken it away with the new Mavericks. Oh, I am using the UBS 3.0 connection so the drive should not be the problem. Also this has occurred in about the last five months, so I am not sure this problem was in the original Marvericks.

Allen Thanks for your reply. All I can say is several months ago Time Machine quit working in a reasonable manner. Right now I have a Time Machine backup that has been running all night and still has three hours to go to backup 6 GB of data. I am using a OWC 1.5 TB drive connected directly to my MacBook with a USB 3.0 connection. In the resent past I have added Dropbox, GoogleDrive and a MAMP server on which I am using a program called Learning With Text from Sourceforge. There have been a lot of questions on the forum about people having very slow Time Machine back ups, so it appears to be a general problem. I should also state I am getting this very slow backup after doing the Spotlight re-indexing and the Safe Restart procedure that was told to me by apple support. I have a 750 GB drive in my MacBook Pro which I am constantly trying to keep at a 5% level of free space. This might be a problem also. However, I am working on a lot of things and like to have a lot of things on my drive. Also the heavily loaded drive has not be a problem in the past. This slow backup business started about three months ago, so something has happen in a very short time period. Now it seems even the procedure that Apple support gave me is not working. Currently I am in China and it is difficult to interact with Apple support to solve this problem, but because I am in China having my computer backed up is critical. I have run the EtreCheck and am attaching the results below. I would appreciate any suggestions. If necessary I will clear out more of my hard drive if that appears to be a solution. The Time Machine drive was recently reformed so I only have a few backups on it. I also don't run the Time Machine all the time as I don't want multi-hour backups running all the time. Frustration with lack of support for Flash Player on IPad. When is Apple going to support Flash?

When is Apple going to support Flash Player on IPad?
The majority of sites that have multimedia content rely on Flash. Safari users are missing out on tons and tons of content that depends on Flash. I have and love my IPad 2. I should be able to use this awesome thing to get at anything I need to on the Internet. Yet when I need to access Flash sites, I am forced back to my windows PC.
Please Apple Make it happen! I'm tired of being ragged by android users on this. You need to fix it.

Just look at how when you step outside the reality distortion field, things look much different. Look at HTML5 performance compared to Flash.... wasn't HTML5 supposed to outperform and save us from dead batteries? Well even 3 years after Steve Jobs claims it's still using 5x more resources than Flash.
This demo shows 16,250 sprites animating at 60fps using the Flash player, something HTML5 can't even do with less than 100 sprites.

HTML5 is a joke, Flash is real, and is providing real content to real people right now. If you as an Apple owner believe the ownership of an IOS device is worth this loss, then more power to you.

A no-contract sales price does not mean unlocked.
Apple is now selling an officially unlocked iPhone in the U.S. which has nothing whatsoever to do with AT&T unlocking iPhones. It is up to the carrier and the carrier only to officially unlock an iPhone that was sold as carrier locked with the carrier - in this case sold as carrier locked with AT&T. This may change one day, but at the present time AT&T does not unlock an iPhone for any reason or under any circumstances.

After troubleshooting the iTune 11 upgrade seems to cause syncing problems for everyone. I've tried everything and my ipod will no longer sync. Help! When is Apple going to apply a fix for this?????

My sync problem has been going on since I updated to IOS 8. I have had two telephone help calls and one Genius Bar visit. I am no further forward.
MY iPhone and iPad will randomly fill to capacity with OTHER files requiring a complete reboot. I have disabled iCloud drive and tried reorganising and deleting files from my iTunes library. All of my devices worked almost perfectly prior to this upgrade. I now dread syncing either of my devices to see what latest iTunes problem is now present.
I Have one simple question which no one at Apple has answered. When iTunes finds a file it doesn't like or will not sync why does it not flag it up with the reason for the problem. iTunes has done this for many years with incompatible files and missing album art work. If iTunes could only tell us why it is continually waiting for sync to start or give us a reason for our iOS device suddenly filling to capacity with OTHER files at least we would be able to do our own diagnosis and repairs. Apple need to sort out this issue soon. I'm losing patience and faith in Apple products. So no iPhone 6 upgrade for me till this gets properly sorted.

This is a nightmare.
I wish I never did the upgrade.
It's horrible that Apple released an OSX update that doesn't work with some of the most used Apple applications.
I don't know what I should do.
Compressor doesn't work, export using Quicktime is having problems...and that's just what I've found so far.

Did you heed ANY of the warnings that were posted here, on LAFCPUG.org, or the CreativeCow.net? We gave many pointers on what to do before you upgrade, so that if you do run into issues with the new (and you WILL run into issues with the new OS) you could always go back to the stable version.

Apple will fix it when they fix it...that's all we can say. Keep sending in your issues and when they can, they will issue updates.
The rule of thumb is that if you have a good working edit system, don't mess with it. The machine that I use to earn a living, that is still on 10.4.9 and FCP 5.1.4. My laptop, that I use occasionally for editing, but mainly for e-mail, word processing, web surfing, that I updated. And I am testing FCP on this. So far, I am not suffering any issues.
If you backed up your system, you could have gone back to it.
