Why doesn't/When will Apple TV support 24/192 audio streaming from iTunes???! this is needed badly.

apple tv truncates and resamples all files from itunes to 16bit/48k. this is losing a large amount of audio information and very unwelcome for even neophyte audiophiles, just those of us who enjoy good music. as music lovers we are forced to hop skip and jump around itunes and use other audio interfaces that don't play well with airplay or itunes and aren't nearly as flexible. (like sonos or naim, or similar) all just to get our higher rez music files to play at their intended bit depth and sample rate. i have tried many solutions for this issue and still the very best would be to have apple make apple tv (which many of us use to stream audio) and the airport express output digital audio at full rates, ie. 24/192. even 24/96 would be a very very welcome upgrade.
SO, APPLE, PLEASE PLEASE. LET'S DO THIS. WITH THE VERY NEXT ITERATION OF ATV. PLEASE!!!!

Good Afternoon; I know how frustrating it is to want a new phone, and be told that you are not eligible to upgrade early. My name is Shane, and I will be assisting you today regarding your most recent email.
I am sorry to say that it is not possible for us to do the upgrade. We most certainly don’t want to lose a valued customer, but we can’t break our contract with Apple. If we did this for you, we would have to do it for everyone. If we did this for everyone we would risk losing our contract with Apple, and not be able to sell iPhones at all. I understand it is a savings to cancel your contract with us, and move to another provider we certainly don’t want you to do that, but that is an option for you.

When will Apple fix Lion OS X v10.7 from freezing after my 27" Mac is put to sleep? I must admit that I am amazed that Apple would release an OS that has this problem, for that matter any serious problem.

When will Apple come up with a fix for Lion OSX v10.7 from freezing after Lion is put to sleep? My 27"Mac freezes after being put to sleep and a hrad boot is required to be able to use the system. I have complained to the local Apples store numerous times. The Genious Bar re-installed the OS and it crashed the very next day and continues to crash two or three times per week. I am amazed that Apples would relase a product, any product before it has been proven to be solid, then again, look at the release of the newest IPhone 4-S.

Gabor, I can't help, except to report that I, too, experience very frequent unexplained crashes and freezes in Lion. However (so far) not when I put it to sleep.
There are a lot of reports about freezes. Here's one. Maybe you should join that thread. Someone there is also reporting that "Lion has a bug that freezes the system when waking the system from sleep."
Are you getting freezes/crashes at other times or only when sleeping the computer?
And does it successfully go to sleep?
Does it freeze when you wake it, or at the point where you're putting it to sleep?

I can understand the copyright laws etc for music & even movies etc. I would certainly also like to have access to these but there is also a lot of software in the iStore that we in South Africa are restricted from downloading. The U.S. iStore has many software titles that the South African iStore does not have. I have not checked the U.K. iStore yet, do you experience similar restrictions?
We pay a lot more for the Apple products than for similar products of other brands & it seems really unfair in light of these restrictions. We don't even have a Gaming section in the South African iStore for example. Every time I purchase another Apple product I just get this feeling that we are getting ripped off a little because we aren't getting the same value out of the devices we buy. I know I'm not alone when I say this really deserves to have been sorted out by now. It's been like this for years already.

Free app that let's us use our own number still but it can have features like signatures. And that kind of. Stuff unles they can use their magic and let us have that privilege in the next iOS update which would be very nice.

It's been awhile since Airport Extreme Update 2007 - 002 (which broke my Airport's ability to connect with 3rd-party routers) was released. Has there been any indication as to when will 2007 - 003 be out? I wish my wireless connectivity would work again...

There is a firmware update for the Airport Extreme
802.11n. Go to Airport Utility, under preferences
make sure you have checked for firmware updates
automatically.
Also if you go to the Apple Site/Support/Downloads
you'll see it there.
The firmware update that you reference is for Airport Extreme Base Station. The topic of this thread is Airport cards and how that has broken airport on Macbooks and Macbook Pros so that they are unable to connect to a variety of routers (particularly D-Link).
As for the subject patch, after buying a new router at home so that my Macbook Pro could go wireless again, I had resigned myself to waiting until June when perhaps Leopard might have fixed the problem. That has turned into October. I filed a bug report with Apple Developer's Connection (ADC) a month ago and have only received a reply that they knew about the issue. Like many of us, I am still unable to connect to many wireless access points, including my office.

Not likely at all. Since the iPod Touch 4th generation has less RAM to run the iOS and apps in, it's hardware is not up to the task of running iOS 7. I cannot see Apple making a crippled version of iOS 7 just to support older devices who's hardware does not meet the minimum requirements for the current iOS release.

Apple TV locks when 'Add folder to library' on iTunes being streamed from

This problem seems consistently repeatable on my set-up. Was just wondering whether anyone else has experienced this problem.
Apple TV is playing music streamed, screen saver may or may not be active. I then copy new music folders into my iTunes music directory and then select 'Add folder to library' on iTunes and select my music directory. iTunes updates correctly and I can then edit/play/add artwork to the newly added music.
However, back on the Apple TV, the music continues to play but the playback position no longer updates although the animated swinging from side to side every so often still works or if the screen saver is active it continues as normal. The Apple TV no longer responds to the remote control. I have left then music playing before and it continues until it has no more music to play, e.g. got to end of album.
I have found only one way out, which does not always work (I sometimes have to remove power from the Apple TV to reset it). If I close down iTunes, after a number of seconds (5 to 15 usually) the Apple TV pops up a button asking to reconnect to sources. I can then restart iTunes and the Apple TV reconnects and I can select what I want to do.

iTunes isn't designed to work with Windows 8 or any beta software, so theres no suprise that it isn't working as expected.
