When is Creative Entertainment Center coming to the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum P

<SPAN>Does anybody know if/when Creative Entertainment Center is coming to the Audigy 2 ZS platinum PRO. I have seen it running on the Audigy 4 PRO/ X-Fi on review sites and it appears to be a lot better than our Remote Centre had has a lot more functionality as well as charisma (the graphics look good to).
<SPAN>Are us Audigy 2 ZS Platinum PRO users going to receive this wonderful package, or is it going to be just for those who are privileged to own the X-Fi or the Audigy 4 PRO.

Creative doesnt seem to hav plans to release Entertainment center for Audigy 2 ZS. But theres a way to install and use Entertainment center with AUDIGY 2 ZS Platinum/Pro. I first installed the Audigy 4 Modded PAX drivers for Audigy2 ZS with all softwares(i downloaded Audigy 4 ISO) , Then i uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled Audigy 2 ZS drivers , and again installed Entertainment Center, Guess what now Audigy 4 doesnt prompt me that i dont have the required HARD WARE before installation starts, and i can install ny Audigy 4 software(nothing much new though , only Entertainment center and Smart Recorder). and i am now enjoying Entertainment CENTER with my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro and with Audigy 2 drivers!!!!.
I think its not proper on part of CREATIVE not to release Ent. Center for Audigy 2, as the IO box and remote control of Audigy 2 and Audigy 4 are the same( RM-500 remote). so wats the point in keeping Ent. Center just for Audigy 4 and Up?

On the PLUS SIDE
+ it has nice interface
+ Good handling of playlists
+DVD Playback
+Slideshow and presentation support
On the NEAGATIVE SIDE
- Every time u want to perform PAUSE, NEXT TRACK, PREVIOUS TRACK operations the Ent. Center pops up as a FULL screen app. interupting u r current TASK
- Also it is not integrated with MEDIA SOURCE Player,(i.e when u start playing song with ent. center it doesnt get layed with MEDIASOURCE so not DTS Neo:6 Playback!!!)
-Even the Press of CMSS button takes u to the full screen app. again causing INTERRUPTION!!!!!
- Doesn't Have a SEARCH option to search for tracks from thee Library
- No BASS/TREBLE/BALANCE Control thru. it

Slow down the Creative Entertainment Center Fast Foreward when using the X-FI Remo

Hello,
When watching videos on my computer using the?Creative Entertainment?Center app and the remote with my X-FI SoundBlaster card the fast forward goes from zero to ludicrous speed instantly. I usually end up fast forwarding half way through the file without intending to. Is there a setting or registry or any other adjustment I can use to slow this down to a sane level? A 30 second skip for instance would be wonderful!

Creative Entertainment Center not installing (Audigy

hey
i have a creative audigy 4, everything installs but the creativ entertainment center. the setup always stalled at the point when inst alling it so i removed everythign and installed everything but the entertainment system and it works fine. i tried to isntall the entertainment system afterwards but when selecting add in the setup its not in the list but under repair itslisted ever though it hasnt been installed. anyone know how i can isntall it's i tried runing the setup straigh from the cd but that doesnt work(used to work for my SBLi've in WinME(said coul onyl isntlal from 98se or higher)),
is there a independent setup program for it's? anyone have an idea how i might be able to install it's

Just set your software DVD player to SPDIF output and make sure the A2ZS is set for SPIDF decode.

Creative Entertainment Center Driv

Hey there,
? I've been looking for the Creative Entertainment Center for XP. I've downloaded this and I've tried to install it anyways and it tells me to get Vista or higher. I'm not about to buy Vista, so can anyone please help me find an older version of the Entertainment Center? Thanks for any help! I've lost my install CD and I reformatted my computer, now my remote won't work. Again, thanks to anyone that can help me!!

EDIT:?Seems that's the same thing which is available on the Creative site. Nope, no XP updates and no stand alone installation. If you attempt to install it directly off the CD, you get a Installshield Error. Also, if you attempt to do a custom setup with just installing the Entertainment Center from the CD, you get to 4% and it freezes. This company really sucks at customer service. They do not respond. So many people have begged for updates to this software for XP and their Drivers for Vista are worthless. So basically, you're stuck with a $300 sound card that is better used as a paper weight. This is a thread I made late last year begging for an update.

Since Creative has yet to release Win7 updated Creative Entertainment Center software for X-Fi cards, can one install the Creative Entertainment Center 5.0.2 released for X-Fi Surround 5. and get it to work properly instead?

Creative Entertainment Center 3.40.21 Update - Proble

Hi, Just thought I would post this so people know that Creative have actually released an update to the Entertainment Center software on Windows Vista, you can get it here, however, I would advise that you don't. I have an X-Fi Fatalty, and as with the previous release of the Audio Console update, this update fails and just freezes during the installation process. Creative, can you guys not actually get a simple piece of software to install and run properly. Better still, why don't you actually get people to test your drivers and software, before releasing them to the public, and causing problems for the customer

Installed and works just fine for me. The only issue I am having is that although it works with 4GB of ram now it wont let my machine power off correctly.

Hi, I have been using my Audigy 2 platinum dri've for a few years now and have been very pleased with it, the main things I do on my pc is music creation mainly Midi but also some analogue audio as well, I also do lots of video making. I am just about to build a new system with Vista ultimate as the platform, I currently use XP Pro. I have little use for Creative?s own software and personally I do not think it is that good, I know Creative have released a new driver for my sound card But, my question is will my Midi port connections and things like my line in and the auxiliary ports and the fire wire port on the front platinum panel work with this new driver, and without the Creative software installed on my pc, and as we all no by now it looks like we will not be seeing any at all, or not for ages yet. you see I am a wheelchair user and I can not readily fiddly about a the back of my pc that is why a bought the sound blaster so I can easily plug in and unplug what I like, can anyone give me some help or advice on this issue please. ??

Guess I wasn't clear enough. I have uninstalled the soundcard and reinstalled over a dozen times even going so far as making sure all the drivers that the device properties lists are really deleted from the system. I have resinstalled DirectX at least twice using the latest version from MS. The only thing I have not done with DirectX so far is installed the SDK version which I will be doing eventually anyway. I even uninstalled and then reinstalled my video card as it shared files with the sound card. As for getting the latest version of openAL I see little point in that as Windows forces openAL through DirectX anyway and none of my games use it. Nor does the device depend on it to work. Any other suggestions?

Will the Audigy 2 Platinum work on the KT3 Ultra

I recently bought the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum, and I have been having problems with it. After I installed it, I could never get the sound card to be recognized. I moved the sound card to different PCI slots, and I uninstalled and reinstalled several times, yet still no success. I was wondering if it was because the Motherboard I have doesn't support it or whether I just got a defective product. I have the MSI KT3 Ultra MS-6380E (VIA Apollo KT333 and VT8233A Chipset Based) Motherboard. Could I please get some help?

I have KT3 Ultra, and Audigy 2 (non platnium, but its the same card), and it works fine. Try upgrading your bios maybe?

Dolby Digital input on the Audigy 2 Platinum P

I'm purchasing a component VGA converter so that I can play my video games on my monitor's screen, but I was wondering, does the sound blaster audigy 2 platinum pro support Dolby Digital input from these types of devices? And in order to do so, what devices, cables, and such would I have to purchase?

If it is a ps2 I think they have a opiocal out which you could plug into your optical in.

B? You have Creative Console Launcher, I believe and that is the program you can use to change between audio creation, entertainment and gaming mode. Each mode highlights the card's specialities in that area. You have a vitural multi-track mixer in audio creation mode. You have Dolby and DTS encoder/decoder options in entertainment mode, and you have a generic access to the cards other features in gaming mode.

Creative Entertainment Center won't browse fi

I've searched the net for an answer to this, but basically whenever I try to browse my pc for files, it simply tells me I have no media files in that folder or dri've letter.
I've managed a workaround where I go into Media Source organizer and have added my tracks, but if I get any new music on there, it would be a pain in the ass to have to keep adding it that way just to be able to access them from the remote screen.
This is really frustrating me at the moment and is the low point of owning this SB X-Fi Platinum.
Also, any news on if we can use a higher resolution? I'm planning on going to a 20 inch LCD this year and want all my stuff to be in high resolution and so far this is the only program that doesn't seem to support it.

I have not seen that error before here on the forums. RCVisual makes me think perhaps the interface is failing to come up for whatever reason. Anti-virus, Spyware tools, possibly video card driver updates. The program should be trying to switch the screen resolution to 800x600, anything installed that might block that?
Other than that, perhaps somebody else will have seen this and be able to offer something more. If not, direct support from Creative may be more usefull and if need be they can escalate it to be investigated further.

Entertainment center won't inst

ok, i have checked the foarm for anything like this, but it looks like I am the only one.
basically I returned my old x-fi to bestbuy and got a new one that works, but for some reason it allways freezes when installing or uninsalling the entertainment center. the entertainment center is in the creative x-fi folder but I get a error whenever I try starting it. AppName: rcvisual.exe AppVer: 3.0.34.0 ModName: unknown

I was looking at the regestry files and I did somethign that when ever I pushed the power button on the remote it would show that error, showing that the remote is not defecti've and that it is software related. creative, before you email me agian, don't think I have not tried a clean sweep uninstall, the main problem is that it freezes while trying to unintall the entertainment center and the entertainment center only, if I do a install with it unselected it installs fine, if selected or the only one selected it freezes at 27% or 30%, the folder in my programs bu not working at all. I had all programs off and norton off as well. anyways I think it is a certificate problem or it does not like my dhcp internet which the error reports about. please help thanks

Entertainment Center - playing from 'artist' opt

Does anyone know if there's a way to make Entertainment Center play tracks by one artist in order of album tracks rather than track number when playing mp3s stored on the hard disk?
For example - I have 3 albums by Cymande, rather than play tracks -9 of the first album, then move onto the second album, it plays all 3 track 's then moves onto the track 2's - it's a little annoying when you want to listen to all 3 albums back-to-back by the same artist.
I'm running the copy of entertainment center I got with Audigy 4 on this machine...

Most likley, just dragging each song into a playlist in whatever order would do the trick. The only problem with that is you must drag each song one by one, which is time-consuming.
