Currently the ZTE open is delivered with Firefox OS v1.0.
Firefox OS v1.1 is released and avaiable for the ZTE open. It can be installed.
Firefox OS v1.2 is only available as Beta-Release for the ZTE open.
When is Firefox OS v1.2 finally released for the ZTE open?
Some monile phone producers do not facilitate each new release to their customers.
Firefox OS v1.3 is ready and released by Mozilla.

I understand that you would like to know when the update for the commercial version of ZTE Open will be released to the public.
The OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) are the ones responsible for testing and releasing updates to the users, for each specific device. Unfortunately, we at Mozilla do not have any information of when they will release those updates.

When told Firefox is already running and needs to be closed but not on screen, how do I get into it to close it?

Firefox was closed when used last as far as I know. Many times I try to go back to go on line and a box comes up to tell me Firefox is already in use and I must close it before opening it again. The only way I have found to go back on line is to reboot me computer.

Make sure that you do not start Firefox with the -no-remote switch or have set the environment variable MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 (Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment variables).
If you need to have more than one profile open at the same time then start subsequent instances with the -no-remote command line switch. 
You can send links from other programs to a Firefox instance that is started with -no-remote, you need to drag links in a Firefox window in such cases.

I am getting strange numeric symbols or tiles instead of text when using Firefox. Repeated reloads and virus scans have not fixed it. I can't find a patch. Help! I hate IE!

Each time I open Firefox, I get blocks or tiles of numbers for each character instead of text. The tiles appear as composites of four digits, stacked two by two. At some websites, normal text does appear in boxes but mostly as this numeric gibberish. The functionality of the Firefox software does not seem to have been affected. But if I can't read it, I can't use it.

Try to set the pref gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading to false on the about:config page.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

My up and down arrows as well as page up and page down no longer work properly only when using firefox. Page up and down function more like the "home" and "end" keys as do the arrow keys.

Honestly I'm not sure if these began just after I updated FF to the current release, but it's been happening for at least 2 weeks. The arrow keys and page up and page down keys all work as if I'm pressing the 'home' and 'end' keys on my keyboard. This is only when using FF. Please contact me if you need more clarification. When is Firefox Mobile getting mp3 and aac html5 support?

I want to be able to use Firefox for Android to listen to music through Grooveshark's html5 website. From what information I've been able to gather Firefox for Android must still only have ogg hmtl5 support and I don't want to have to use Chrome or the built-in browser just for Grooveshark.

Yes Firefox should be able to play back those files on Android. It is likely that the site is doing user agent sniffing instead of feature detection. You can try the phony extension to pretend to be other browsers. It may allow SoundCloud to work. http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/phony/
If Phony does help then it is an issue with SoundCloud's website.

The Motorola Milestone has a low amount of system RAM and that causes very poor performance. Because of this we don't support running Firefox mobile on the Milestone.
To set up sync you need to create a sync account on desktop Firefox. Then on the mobile device press the connect to sync and then go to desktop Firefox and enter the Sync code.

When will the File menuitem on OS X be released after having opened and cancelled out of the Import window with Fx 4 beta 12?

It has been there since early Firefox 4 betas. With 3.6 and 3.5 of Firefox it happened with the Tools and Bookmarks menuitem, also on Leopard and Snow Leopard the same way like the screenshot above. It happens more often that I would like. I'm not in the File menu at all and yet it's highlighted. I've closed the Firefox window and reopened a new window but the File menu remains active until I actively press it again or any other menu in the Firefox 4 menubar.
You can try it by choosing the File menu -> Import and then simply close the Import window and return to Firefox 4 for a browsing session. Does the File menuitem remain active? Happens each time now that I figured out the correct trigger that I mentioned with the Import window.

@ Rick - ProRes cannot be fixed with color management. At all. It is a problem that adobe has setting a correct quicktime gamma flag.
I am color-tight if re-importing encoded file back in to AE or any other adobe app. When exporting to PR or Quicktime in General, something is going terribly wrong.
@ Todd - This whole thing did not leave me alone and I have figured out what the problem is (aside from the Quicktime issue)
If AE's Audio Hardware Preferences is set to anything else than built-in audio this problem occurs. Setting it to Built-in Audio all the issues are remedied.
@ Todd - I have Crash Reporter Enabled.. but AE never crashes ;-)
@ Todd - I spent the better half of this year beta testing PT 11 for AVID along with another dedicated set of folks... The reason we test so long prior to release is to get rid of all the small issues that should never surface in a commercial software. Of Course you cannot get all of them but such as testing the audio hardware capabilites of AE prior to a major release should have been cought by the beta crew.. If any.
The quicktime issues are long standing - how about opening contact with Apple ( you are a developer and entitled to Apple Support) and tell them about the problem. And have them help you.
I mean, you offer Speedgrade which is a fantastic app, PPRO, AE & PS (All great) but what good is greatness if neihter is able to deliver. The quicktime file is being displayed with a .8955 gamma offset (What one would have to offset the quicktime file by) when viewed in any other app than adobe's That is a lot.

Firefox will not start and any attempts to do so opens a crash report which neither properly closes nor restarts firefox.

firefox was working this morning but in the afternoon, after i got off a game that did not require use of firefox, firefox would not start. it does not show up in the task manager and typing "firefox.exe -ProfileManager" into the search box opens a crash report which neither restarts firefox nor quits it. further attempts to do the same results in the same crash report.
restarting the computer does not help.
previously, in the past week, firefox has been frequently crashing. however, this afternoon was the first time firefox would not start at all. cannot uninstall firefox as my system provides no response.

Any solutions to itunes launching with windows 8? it was working fine yesterday when i was burning cd's and now it won't even open :-///

No, not paired to anything else, fresh out the box connected to the mac mini I bought at the same time, never been paired with anything else.
I think it's a hardware issue. As I don't seem to be able to get it to turn off.

Listening to youtube videos on this phone is near impossible, they're barely audible. I've had to make another post about this cause the other one isn't easy to find. Also the volume could do with being a bit louder on media files. Would appreciate a fix for this problem.

When i try to load certain page, the system crashed and the bottom panel states " stopped" but when I close and open firefox again,it can't and I get this message that says my firefox is still running and to open the browser i need to restart the compu

You get message "firefox is still running" and computer restart doesn't help you. Try the advice below.
Make sure Firefox isn't running (end firefox.exe process in Task Manager or restart computer)
Find your profile folder
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
find file "parent.lock" in it and delete it (the file is empty, its function is to signify to Firefox whether it's already open or not).
Then try to open Firefox again. Will it start or not? What will it say?

Open System Preferences > Users & Groups then select the Login Items tab.
Remove all apps listed there.
And check /Library/StartupItems
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/StartupItems
Click Go then move all items from the StartupItems folder to the Trash.

I installed Android on my ZTE Open C and went back to Firefox and my 3G won't work. (Optus)

I went back to Firefox OS to discover my 3G won't work, even though it did with the stock version of Firefox. I'm on the Optus network. I have a feeling it has something to do with my APN settings but I can't fix it.

Can you please list the exact steps or instructions you used to perform the porting of your device from Firefox OS to Android, and then back to Firefox OS? Please provide a link to the image files you used as well.

I just recently upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 and now the "lock" icon doesn't appear anywhere (I can find) when accessing secure websites. I haven't seen it once. It used to appear in the lower right corner of the screen. I also have Norton Internet Security.

Padlock is no longer part of Firefox; it was removed beginning in Firefox 4. The padlock shows that there is a secure connection but does not supply additional information. You could have made a typographical error and still have been connected to a secure connection. The padlock was replaced in Firefox 3 with the Site Identity Button. Familiarize yourself with the Site Identity Button at the left end of the Location Bar:
