When is Grid Control 11 due out ???? Let me see if I have this right......
I have to install GC 10.2.0.1 (which uses an Oracle 10.1 database).
Then I have to upgrade the Oracle DB to 10.2.0.3, by first installing a new 10.2.0.1 ORACLE_HOME and applying the 10.2.0.3 patchset.
Then I have to apply the Grid Control 10.2.0.4 patchset.
If I wait for the next release for Grid Control (11), how long will I have to wait?
Another question. Can I install the 10.2.0.3 DB, then install Grid Control into an existing database and then run the grid control 10.2.0.4 patchset? What's the best approach?
You can precreate a 10.2.0.3 database and then when you install GC, just choose the option to install on an exsiting database.
Then patch GC to 10.2.0.4...
No idea about 11g

ORA-01017 Error when installing Grid Control 10.2.0.3
Hello all,
I have the following problem: I am installing the Grid Control on a Linux machine and when I get to the "Specify Repository Database Configuration" step and enter the SYS password I get an ORA-01017 error. I still can connect under SQLPLUS with the same pwd as SYSDBA.
Any clue how to get ride of this will be very appreciated.

Why do my Boolean control get a different display when I the controls grayed out?
I have some Boolean control in a cluster which I grayed out programmatically. If I do that this control's get grey as expected. But if I do that with Boolean which are grouped in a decoration field then the control become a blue style. How can I change the grayed out color?

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
Why does the contrast in my images processed in Aperture look markedly different when opened in CS4? The images look fab on the screen in Aperture - even if these are then opened in CS4 from Aperture they look different - much flatter. This is a new issue. I am a wedding photographer and an album processed in Aperture has been sent back by my wedding album printer saying the images all lack contrast! Can anybody shed any light on this! I have checked colour spacing etc!

In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason. At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident. Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed. Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees). Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!! Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

When I Consolidate I Get A Message Saying I Don't Have Access Rights
I just got a Macbook and I have music and video files on my old PC on both my hard drive and an old external hard drive (formatted NTFS). I am trying to consolidate all my videos and files to a new, larger and slimmer external hard drive (formatted FAT 32) so I can set up iTunes on my Macbook and start using that computer but while keeping the metadata in my songs (playcounts, ratings, etc.). I've followed the steps to set the default iTunes location on the new hard drive and began the consolidation process. It was working fine and about 2 GBs were consolidated into the new hard drive but then a message popped up saying that copying music failed because I don't have enough access privileges for this operation. Now I'm the only user on my PC and have admin rights assigned to me, so I'm not sure how this is possible.
If anyone could help me with this error message, I would be much appreciative. I'm ready to get rid of this old PC junker and start using my Macbook!I was finally able to solve my problem and thought I'd post it here in case anyone else comes across this. A few years back, my hard drive crashed. I was able to recover my music files but I basically had to reinstall XP. When I did that, the music files that I saved were encrypted and "owned" by my old username. Since this username and permission file associated with it were now gone, any other user, including the admin or a username set up with the same username as the old one, could not unencrypt the folders with the music in it. So what I did was I opened Windows Explorer, navigated to my music folder, and found every artist folder that showed up in green on the screen, which indicates that the folder or file is encrypted. For every green folder, I created a temporarily created a new folder in my iTunes music folder with a similar name and copied the files from the encrypted folder into the new temporary folder. Then I deleted the encrypted folder and renamed the new folder the name of the just-deleted folder. Changing the name back to the just-deleted folder tricks iTunes into thinking nothing has happened with the files. Here's a little more detailed example:
1) I opened Windows Explorer and saw that my "Black Crowes" folder was showing up in green, meaning that it was encrypted.
2) I closed iTunes.
3) I created a new folder in my iTunes music folder called "Black Crowes2". When I hit refresh in Windows Explorer it should should show "Black Crowes" and "Black Crowes2" right next to each other.
4) I moved all the files from "Black Crowes" into "Black Crowes2"
5) I deleted the empty "Black Crowes" folder.
6) I renamed the "Black Crowes2" folder to "Black Crowes"
7) Finally, I opened iTunes and consolidate. I was able to consolidate the Black Crowes folder as it is no longer encrypted and iTunes is tricked into thinking nothing has happened to the files.
Of course, before you try all this you may want to try to make sure you use every username that is on your PC to see if that's the username that's associated with the encryption. You'll know that's the username that encrypted the files because the encryption box in the properties of the folder isn't grayed out (properties->general tab->click advanced. -

Does anyone know when OS Mountain LIon is due to be released? All I can find is July. Anything more specific?
July is a 31 day month so it could be anytime from now
until July 31, 11:59:59 PM.
Last year, Lion was released the day after the quarterly
earnings report call. FWIW, that is July 24 this year. -

Okay,
I have a broken ipod 4G 20GB model. It displays a sick icon. It will not go into diagnostics mode. It is not seen by itunes or my PC (windows xp OS). When it is plugged in the charge icon shows up, but it does not move.
So basically I can't do anything to it with my computer or with the buttons on the ipod, so I think I will have to take it apart to fix it, as I'm not going to send it back as the warranty is over.
I don't mind erasing everything on it, and I would if I knew how to, and I will try just about anything so I can make it atleast an external hard drive.
If anyone knows what I should do once I take it apart, what part is most likely wrong with it, if they know some way to fix it, or have any questions... please post =].

I was in the middle of prying open the case and the Ipod flew out of my hands and landed on the concrete floor, and then I looked at it and it had turned on. The hard drive was humming but I turned it on and off and it fixed.
If your ipod is broken just smash it on the floor... Apple add that onto your repair checks =D. (I'm not responsible if it doesn't work for you)

When I try to play songs from itunes, I get an error message that my computer is not authorized. My songs have all played in the past. This is something new. I verified my computer is authorized, and when I try to re-enter the password, it tells me that I am already authorized. Makes no sense at all. It's an endless circle. Also, my shuffle will not sync due to access rights denied. I did nothing new, I always take the updates. My shuffle and compter are the same, no changes. Everything is verified in my itunes account. For some reason, it is blocking me from half of my music. Help!

Step 1: Load the data into Target Tables.
Step 2: Delete the data from Staging Tables.
Step 3: Verify if all the data is proper and there are no errors (Logical)
Step 4: If No errors, Commit the transaction.
Step 5: If any error, then Rollback the transaction.
Step 4, 5 ensures the data is either Inserted and Deleted or is untouched.
Thus, you can negate the need for another sub-program to verify it!!!

I am having some serious trouble with JSP session. And i posted the problem but didn't find any solution.
Now i am posting my code.
The SITUATION IS: i am couple of JSP pages and THEY ARE NOT ALL LINKED TOGETHER. meaning that two of them is linked with sending data to another but the rest of them are just in one application but not connected. BUT in every page there is a separate link for all other pages AND this is not HTML FORM.

Here are three JSP pages pardon me i got rid of all the webdesign HTML codes for easy understanding.
Now on the select _database.JSP file i am getting the user name and setting in sessions.
Just reminding you all the pages got

Now after i set the login name as a session value there is no connection between this page and any other page except the HREF links i mentioned above.
On the Update_Para.JSP page as you can see i used that session variable. when they click LOGOFF HREF they are taken to the logoff.JSP and they are the session is killed.
Now on the logoff.jsp page after loggin of if they click login again then they are taken to the login page and they login with a different id and when they goto Update_Para to update paragraph the user stored in JSP as the user logged in when the session was created two weeks ago meaning that that session is still alive after two weeks.
Now i described the problem clearly here, Can anyone please tell me what is the problem. ThanksThis may be caching on the user's browser. The user's browser may hold onto older web pages to make display quicker. This is usually only done for pages that are visited with normal links, rather than forms. The browser will look to see if the page has an expiration data, and then re-query the server if that expiration date has passed. Otherwise it will hold the same page in a cache on your hard-disk and display it from there when requested.
