Hey guys, I was just wondering when will the iPhone 4s launch in the Gulf region, specifically the UAE?
Apple has finally opened and online store for the UAE (thank you Apple!!!!), but nothing is mentioned there about the launch of the product or any specifics for that matter.
If I do eventually decide to order one (factory unlocked iPhone 4s), I don't want the hassle of ordering it from the US and have it delivered all the way to UAE (hence delivery time, shipping cost,additional fees, etc...)

I'm wondering my self the same question and I must say that it's not a smart move from apple to keep it this long.
UAE is a very wealthy country and people do buy the best stuff ever but the thing is, since the iPhone 4s was released in the US, in less then a week Dubai and Abu Dhabi were flooded with the new iPhone 4s (all imported from the US and the UK and sold by retailers) and people bought them and their prices are dropping and dropping down, so everybody now has an iPhone 4s already. so the real question is, how many phones apple is expecting to sell in the UAE apple store coming that late????? and why did u bother even opening the store when ur the last to deliver ur own products?

Hi! When attempting to launch Time Machine, I get the following error:
The operation could not be completed
An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)
My machine is a 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon running 10.5.8
What's strange is that Time Machine DID work just the other day. It would launch automatically when I plugged in my external HD (Maxtor One Touch) though I didn't set it up to back up yet. After I reformatted the drive to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), Time Machine started giving me this error and won't launch. Any ideas here? Thanks!

When you reformatted, it got a new UUID (Universally Unique IDentifier), which may be confusing Time Machine. Try just reselecting it, per +Time Machine Preferences.+
If that doesn't help, try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

In my case, this rare event occurs when a problem with an application (3rd party) force to iPhone to restart or when occurs a problem during the sync with iTunes. After this event, my iPhone never load (your OS) and the only way is the restore.

Amazing how much trouble when can get into by taking shortcuts before we understand something... isn't it....
Read the API and find out for yourself what events are triggered by a JButton......
Remember thsi advices:
1) Before using shorthand event handling, make absolutely sure that you understand the process back to front...
2) Write your own event, listener and implementer in order to get a clearer picture...

Contacts duplicated numerous times when syncing iPhone 4

Since updating to iOS5, when syncing my wife's iPhone 4, many of her contacts are duplicated numerous times. She has Windows 7 and uses MS Outlook for contacts and calendar. Contacts in her Outlook file are not duplicated. I can manually delete the duplications, but the next sync repeats the duplications. How do I stop this madness?

I have the same problem. Using an iPhone 3G.
Events made on the iPhone multiply every time the iPhone is synced with the Macbook. Events made in iCal on the Macbook pro do not seem to double up when synced with the iPhone.
When creating events on the iPhone I usually set the events to repeat every day (until i complete the event and then I delete it)
Hope some one can offer some insight.

Sounds like OSX has lost track of where it is. Try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If that doesn't help, try repairing your backups, per #A5 there.

This sounds like an Apple ID problem. Do each of you have your own Apple IDs? Are they each properly set on each phone? You might try logging out of Facetime and iMessage, then logging back in. This often fixes connectivity issues.

Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.

There is an update avaialbe for Ford systems to correct bluetooth problems. You need to update your system.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection<br />
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

Something fishy going on with those particular files. But without looking at them directly I couldn't say what. Usually in a case like this the problem is some of the metadata that is attached to the file. Where did these files come from? A camera, a scanner, the internet?
An explanation about the Watched Folder function: It looks for changes to a folder, not just automatically grabbing whatever files are in it. Generally, you want to select an empty folder as a Watch Folder. Once this has been set up, as you add files to this folder they will be imported into the Organizer. If you start with a folder full of images, those will be ignored, any new items will be added.
