When is Muse going to make it possible to create responsive websites?

Im just really curious if the Muse team are considering to make it possible to create responsible websites in a near future? There is a high demand for it. And its becoming an industry standard these days.

AVG has to be the one to update "AVG Safe Search" so it'll be compatible with FF 4. Firefox cannot do anything about it. You might want to contact AVG to see if they are going to or not.

  • Is it possible to create Responsive websites with Adobe Muse?

    Hello,
The question is in the Subject line.
I would like to create Responsive websites in Muse so that they can flow to adjust to desktop > tablet > smartphone screen sizes, and I wondered if this is possible with Muse.
    Thanks,
    Chris.

A little rant on this topic:
"Responsive" works only so well. Very often a "responsive" web site can look like it wasn't designed for any screen at all; instead it ends up looking like a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with a little better color and graphics. Nothing is ever really proper or composed. It's a page being Jack of trades and King of none. I look at a lot of those pages and just go "blah."
We have very extreme differences in display resolution from one device to the next, both in terms of absolute pixel count and pixel density. There really is no way to accommodate them all properly unless you specifically design pages for each resolution -all with assets sized specifically for each resolution setting. Some people are still using old, outdated displays like 320x480 on an old iPhone or 1024x 768 on an old CRT monitor hooked up to some old WinXP system on its last legs. 1280x720 is common on a lot of older Android phones and old HDTV sets. 1920x1080 has become very common for new desktop computer monitors and laptops. 2560x1440 had been the highest pixel count one could see in a monitor, but that is now getting surpassed by 4K and even 5K displays. One of Dell's 15" notebooks has a 3200x1800 display. 4K UHDTV sets with 3840x2160 resolution are hitting affordable price levels now; most have built in web browsers. The newest 27" iMac has a 5120x2880 display. Add in the additional factor many desktop and notebook users don't have their web browsers filling the entire screen. I just don't see how someone can create a "one size fits all" approach to cover all of those different screen settings.
Here's one thing I would like to see in the future: the computer industry settling on some screen resolution settings, screen orientation and aspect ratio. We wouldn't need "responsive" so much if various device makers would stick with some well established standards. We don't need oddball settings, like what Apple put out in its last two iPhone generations (640x1136, 750x1334 and 1242x2208). It's bad enough mobile devices capture a lot of vertical video. Too bad they're not designed to encourage users to hold the devices horizontally.
I wouldn't mind seeing Muse add new features to help designs be more responsive. But I'd like to see more done in the way of improving SVG support (vector graphics scale up and down to any resolution). I'd also like to see Muse support HiDPI in more than just the 2x setting.

  • When are you going to make GOOGLE TOOLBAR compatible with the latest version of firefox, i will not update to version 8 until its compatible

    Question
When are you going to make GOOGLE TOOLBAR compatible with the latest version of firefox, i will not update to version 8 until its compatible

It's not going to happen. Google announced withdrawal of their Google Toolbar.
Using Google Toolbar features without toolbars - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
    :http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Google_Toolbar_features_without_toolbars
The Google Toolbar will not be updated for Firefox 5 or later Firefox versions. ([http://googletoolbarhelp.blogspot.com/2011/07/update-on-google-toolbar-for-firefox.html reference]) Google finally decided that their [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions problematic extension] is beyond repair for the little benefit added for Firefox users. Google as with other browsers is eliminating or making toolbars less accessible.
Consider the features that you are using and see if you can match up features from the list created by Google and by Firefox users.

When are you going to make Firefox 5 compatible with the Google Toolbox?

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension, I tried it myself due to the large number of postings about GTB problems. <br />

Skype, when are you going to make Online Number available in Russia?

I agree with you - that's why I use Amazon's Kindle and have been using it since it came out. You can read on your Mac, your iPad, your iPhone, your Windows machine, your Android machine, etc.
I've lately even taken to buying music on Amazon versus the iTunes store. But I'll never buy an iBook - I'm sticking with Kindle.

  • When Sun is going to make a java processor

    Hi:
Anyone know when Sun is going to make the big step and take out a processor for Java.
Like a transmeta crossue, that has the "Virtual Machine" at the processor level.
it would help to the development of games in Java.

The great advantage of java is the platform
independency. Code once, run anywhere (or was it code
    once, debug everywhere?).
    Platform independency.
    Got it?
Creating a Java Nonvirtual machine is quite
interesting as an academic exercise. Do it in your
lab. Do it as research. But leave it as an exercise!eh? why not do it in reality if there are performance benefits?
also some ARM chips (which power mobile phones / GBA) can execute a subset of JVM instructions in hardware, and have software for other parts of the JVM (Jazelle is the technology name)

  • When are Adobe going to make it easier to deploy flash player to the enterprise????

I've been deploying flash player for well over 5 years now and in that time the deployment has only got very marginally better.
Why do they continue to allow installs just to fail when the control is in use??? I've written vbscripts to kill the handle to the ocx activex file, rename the ocx to .old which allows the installax.exe install utility to complete without errors. When Internet explorer next relaunches it uses the new control and the old one can be deleted. Why can't they incorporate this kind of logic into their installs?
Why do Adobe insist on using rubbish exe routines inside msi's that are perfectly capable of installing applications and don't just bomb out at the first sign of a difficulty? Using custom installer routines inside msi's makes it very difficult for people who have more than adequate repackaging and software deployment experience to be able to customise and get around the difficulties that Adobe forces upon us.
When are Adobe going to realise that the way they are releasing updates for flash player is costing companies a lot of money in company's helpdesk and systems team's time spent supporting and troubleshooting their buggy installs? At best I've only experienced a 95% success rate with flash player deployments. Some people might say "what am I complaining about?" and "that's to be expected". This has only been the case with weeks of work to fix the flaws in the flash player install routines. However 5% failure on 4000 machines is 200 possible help desk calls and 200 people not able to use various applications, view web content etc. Before we invested the time in scripting to get around the installer flaws the success rate was closer to 75%, that's 1000 out of 4000 that were failing. Does anyone think that's acceptable considering how widely it's used?
What has Adobe got planned for enabling large businesses to manage the deployment of flash player better? They've done it with other products why can't they do it with flash player?
For software deployment teams this is a constant and ever present headache.
Any Adobe representative want to comment???

It's ridiculous cause most website use Flash Player and none of them work on my LG 650v Smart TV.
Are discussions being held between Adobe and LG? If yes, are they close to a solution? If no, what seems to be the issue?

  • Is it true that Firefox v11 will fully suport Adobe Flash and when are you going to make a mobil version of Thunderbird.

I going purchase an HTC Merge soon and would like to know if Firefox v11 will fully support Adobe Flash and if I decide to use v10 right now would this method work https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-mobile-doesnt-support-flash?e=es&as=aaq if I wanted to watch flash videos on lets say on Vimeo's website also are there any plans for a Mobil version of Thunderbird? I'm a avid user of Thundrbird and would love to have on my Android phone.

Thanks that's what I thought I heard but wanted to make certain that it was true and its also nice to know that FFv10 works on Vimeo one last thing I did make a post about Mobil Thunderbird on the official TB support forums if you or anyone you know also would like to see TB for Mobile Devices go to my post.

  • When is Muse going to add BC ecommerce widgets to the library?

Been waiting for over a year and Adobe has not added BC widgets to Muse, and BC has not provided a way to add or integrate all of their features into a Muse built website. On www.musegrid.com they now have a widget that you add a BC blog to Muse. So how did they figure it out before Adobe made it available to all of us? So that tells me it can be done for all the BC features. It makes no sense that if you telling us to publish on BC you would give me the Muse customer to ability to add or integrate all of the features, especially the ecommerce. If this can be done, why is there not a video or tutorial about it?
