When is the 3G Compatible iPhone Coming Out
I really want to buy an iPhone and everyone that has one recommends it but most of them said to wait till the 3G version comes out. Does anyone have any idea when that will be?
No one here knows for certain, only Apple does and Apple won't say until they make an official announcement.
There are plenty of rumors and speculation floating around the internet, which are just that until an announcement is made by Apple.
Apple has a World Wide Developers Conference beginning on June 9, so many expect an announcement to be made then, but as far as when it will be available in the U.S. is anyone's guess at this point. I believe the 3G iPhone requires another round of FCC approval before being released in the U.S. Once approved by the FCC, this usually becomes public information, and there has been no word regarding FCC approval yet. The FCC approval process doesn't take long, so possibly Apple will announce when the 3G iPhone is expected to be available in the U.S. during their World Wide Developers Conference.

There are no more future updates for iPhone 3G. There is probably a hardware issue with your phone that an update would not fix.

I made a mistake there. Yesterday I went over to the store and was disappointed to find only the iPhone 5 and the 4G. Back to square one. Buy now is basically still pre order seeing as we don't know when it arrives. -

No way to know. Apple has not announced anything about a Second Generation Mini at this time. When they do you can bet it will be posted everywhere.
Personally I'd wait for their customary media event in September, we'll likely hear about it then if its being planned at all. -

Why should you? Both, Photos and iPhoto, also Aperture can coexist peacefully.
Keep organizing your photos in iPhoto, while giving Photos a trial run. And when you are sure that Photos is what you want migrate your iphoto Libraries. But you may still want to use iPhoto for editing or adding Places to photos and similar.
So keep it installed. -

SIx months ago, when this thread was last active, 5.1 had not yet been released. Pvonk was correct at the time of writing. We still do not know when the next update will be released. The Terms of Use of this forum prohibit us from speculating about things that Apple has not yet announced.

This is an iPad user to user forum. Apple doesn't read or respond. We have no way to know what and when Apple will do something. You'll have to wait for an announcement by Apple.

Yeah seems so! Folks always looking for the next version! There isn't really much more than can do with the iPod other than maybe add a camera and a built in speaker. It would be a ***** if they added a better camera than you can get on the new iPhone G3. LOL No such luck!
I would like to see a 60/64gb version though.. but I don't them flash memory is available yet in that size and if it was or is would it be priced so that Apple could actually create an iPod at the right pricing point that it would sell. -
