When is the iphone 5s going to be available in the NZ Apple store? It's 25 October and still says currently available
I realise it's due for release today, and is available to buy online through Vodafone and NZ, but I just want the handset. Still says currently unavailable...anyone got any ideas?
Yeah you're certainly right, it's just frustrating waiting up until midnight for no reason!

I performed an iOS 7 software update on my iPhone yesterday, and now the phone is not working at all. The iPhone screen shows to connect to iTunes to restore. I've have done this, and still the iPhone is not working. What going on?
I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue. -

Tap "View Apple ID"
Enter password if needed
Tap "Country/Region"
Tap "Change Country or Region"
You may need to change to a UK credit card. -

Thnx in advanceNo contract iPhones will likely be available on the 21st when the iPhone 5 becomes available for retail sales. Note though that you can buy an unsubsidized, contract free iPhone which will still be locked to a specific carrier.
If you want an unlocked iPhone, that is also sold at the full retail, unsubsidized price, but Apple has not announced yet when unlocked phones will be available.
Just beware that contract-free does NOT necessarily mean unlocked, so make sure you are buying what you actually want.
Also note that the new iPhone 5 GSM only phone comes in two versions - one for NA LTE channels, and one for European/Asian LTE channels, so be sure you get one that will work with the data networks available where you plan to use it (the non-NA LTE channel version will not be sold in the USA). -

Apple does offer a trade-in program and a recycling program.

They may not accept iPhones from outside the US.
The trade-in program requires the device to be fully functional.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Are there any Australians out there that can answer this for me? I'm going on holiday to Sydney (I live in New Zealand) in a week, and it would be great if I could buy an iPhone 5 there, instead of waiting a few more weeks for them to ship if I bought it on the online store here. Does the Sydney apple store, or any retail stores in Sydney have the iPhone 5 in stock? Also, will it work normally if I brought it back to New Zealand?

If you are going to the UK for a few months, then buy an iPhone in the UK for use over there or if you have an unlocked iPhone from the US, then you can use it in the UK with local sim cards for the length of time that you are over there - you will definitely be able to get a signal on UK 3G, but with a US iPhone, you will not be able to benefit from 4G in the UK because the frequencies are different.
If you have a US iPhone that is locked to a carrier, then you can use international roaming charges.
Buy a new phone for use in the UK, but no, the UK Apple store stocks iPhone models that work in the UK and not the US. -
I restored my ipod before connecting it to the computar and now it just stays at the screen like when its the silver apple is there a way to fix this?
- Have you tried resetting the Ipod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.-
- Next connect it to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod restore the iPod, First restore from backup and if problem persists restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
- If iTunes does not see the iPod first try placing the iPod in recovery mode. If not seen try placing it in DFU mode:
